The menu offers lots of different sandwiches, etc. For starters. I had onion rings. They were a nice portion. Crispy outside with a warm tender onion inside. I really enjoyed these! I also had the Reuben( w/t Russian dressing) it comes with chips. The sandwich was nicely made but did lack in a flavor a bit. Overall, I enjoyed my first time visit here. Typical deli atmosphere. The restaurant is clean and decorated with different memorabilia. Westside deli is located in a shopping complex/strip mall. Plenty of parking available!

The guy at the counter taking our order was friendly, courteous, and passionate about sandwiches!…read moreLove that he gave us his recommendations and described each of the menu items in detail when we asked. The food was simple and delicious with house-made soups, sides and dressings. I thoroughly enjoyed the tomato soup and though I'm typically not a pasta salad fan, thought theirs was great (made with a ranch based dressing rather than Italian dressing style). Located in a retro shopping center, so it's a little hard to find at first. Nothing fancy, but comfortable and easy to get in and out. Highly recommend!

If you aren't in this area much, you would never know it was there, or so good. It is a typical country store with a little bit of everything. Carson's is definitely the best sandwich shop around, serving Boar's Head meats on fresh bread and incredible dirt pie and banana pudding. They have a great selection of most meats and pile it up high. Unfortunately there is no indoor seating, but great if you want to grab something to take home or for a picknick. Next time you need for dog food, a snow shovel, lunch and a home made pie... stop by :)

Might not seem like a big deal, but what a difference when you walk into this place and walk into a Dollar General! It's dark and depressing. I haven't tried their deli but honestly, I have no desire to. It's sad because if you look at the old reviews of this place, people raved about the sandwiches. Maybe they still are but they have got to make some major improvements to their establishment so folks will have a good first impression

I ordered a small cake two weeks in advance and sent my bridesmaid to get it the day of the wedding and there was no cake. They misplaced the order ticket because they were overwhelmed with a large catering order. The manager offered to go in and decorate a freezer cake, but I had to make it to my ceremony and didn't have time to wait around. My husband and I didn't have a cake on our wedding day and I'm just very disappointed such a big mistake could have been made.
