I feel sorry for the staff hearing the loud floor machine while they work. I get out of there as fast as possible when the noise making floor machine is operating. What a nightmare. You certainly don't want a baby to endure that noise! Babies have sensitive hearing. The loud floor machine is highly inappropriate during hours customers and staff are in the store. (Additive-free active dry yeast, if you must know.) What's more, the place was clean and orderly (as was the men's room), and the service was friendly and fast. I had zero problems, and after mere minutes inside, I had my yeast and was paid-up and on my way -- bada-bing : - ) So, a word of thanks to everyone who keeps this place going. However, instead of conducting a complete and reasonable investigation, they refused to check the exterior camera which would have clearly shown that I left the store without the item, since I left the cart along with the item inside the entrance. I said I left with two bags but I didn't leave with my other item which was on accident. The lack of effort and basic problem-solving from the staff was frustrating and unacceptable. As a result, I was unable to recover my item, despite there being clear evidence that could have resolved the situation. You'll get it back when you return the cart. The merchandise is a wide variety but they don't have everything and they generally don't have more than one of an item. A few name brands here and there but usually ALDI's generic brand. Note that the quality is similar. At the register, the cashier scans the stuff and then puts it right back into your cart. You're bagging it yourself, making your time at the register faster. You can buy ALDI bags or bring your own. Or you can find a few cardboard boxes from the sales floor for free. There was a time that ALDI didn't accept credit cards but they do know. Easy, inexpensive (not cheap) and a good shopping experience. Enjoy! What a difference from our Walmart here in Denver. The store was not crowded on a Friday morning and had everything we came out to buy that day. The biggest difference was the employees. Every one we passed or passed us was smiling and most said hi and ask how we were doing. An older gentleman stocking one of the isles we were on chatted with us a few minutes. Try and find that in the Denver Walmart! Most of the employees at the Denver Walmart have a I hate my job/my life/the world look on their face and never speak to customers not even the door greeter which is what he/she gets paid to do! Even though the Denver Walmart is only 7 miles from our house, we avoid it when we can because its always very crowded with inconsiderate people blocking isles to talk, cutting in front of you with their carts and long check out lines because only 3-4 of the 30 check out lanes are open with lines backed up in to the store and on top of that there is always some kind of problem that ties up the line and makes for an even longer wait to check out. Here there was no wait to check out and it was a breeze compared to the Denver Walmart. After this experience I think my wife and I will plan to do our grocery shopping here after our weekly breakfast at Dick's .
