This Walmart Supercentre is a five-minute drive from Malvern Mall (Town Centre) in the Malvern area of Scarborough. I flagged visiting this store after picking up some takeout from Tahini's across from it. I decided to check it out a couple of Saturdays ago. This store had a decent wave of customers, but it wasn't as crazy as the one in Richmond Hill at Highway 7 and Bayview. This one had a relaxed vibe, which I appreciated. You do need a quarter to unlock a shopping cart. I had one, thankfully. I needed the cart for my grocery haul. There was a promotion in the prepared foods section. I loved looking at the smoothies and bubble tea. The meals, such as the sweet and sour chicken with noodles, looked yummy. I like that this Walmart carries Al Premium products. All the meals, like BBQ chicken legs and BBQ pork on rice, are from Al Premium. I should shop at Al Premium one of these days. I feel like I have when I hit Walmart. The produce and fruit looked fresh and healthy. The dragon fruit looked especially yummy. I ended up getting peaches, green apples, and strawberries. I also got celery, an avocado, and lemons. I got ground beef. I could choose from value packs or get some in atubes. This store has a decent selection of yogurt. It had Activia in lactose-free vanilla and Silk key lime yogurt varieties that I love. It looked like there was a Silk sale on cashew and coconut beverage. I got a couple of cartons. The aisles at this store are exceptionally wide. It's nice having a ton of space to move around, especially with a shopping cart. I liked the cleaning supply section. It had everything that I needed. Although it's too early to be thinking about a puffy jacket, I saw some at this store by the cleanest, brightest change room. The price was decent. The plant section was also impressive. I liked seeing hanging plants and healthy leaves on potted ones. Like the Walmart in Box Grove, this one seems to close off the self-checkout kiosks. This store seems to want to you check out with a human. I don't mind it at all. I got a friendly woman at the checkout. I paid with a credit card. I tapped and was done. I bagged all my groceries and headed to my car. I got my quarter back from the cart. It was a good grocery shopping experience. I seem to be an anomaly with my review. I'm not sure why there are so many one-star reviews. It's a decent store with a supermarket. I prefer it over the Richmond Hill one for sure. (337)

I understand that this is a busy day as the new flyer is posted on Thursday. So the schedule should be reflected in availability of staff on the service counter. When I arrived there was 6 people ahead of me. One lady had to leave because she couldn't stand anymore. No one called for assistance at the service desk. As I was leaving the store I heard over the public announcement a request for assistance at the customer service "two little too late!!! The second reason for my bad review is the lack of stock documented in the flyer on the first day! What is wrong with this location it is constantly poorly stocked for quite some time. I recommend going to Pickering it is more efficient and better stocked.

Across the street from this magical store is a plaza with this No Frills. I checked it out for the first time in late July. The parking lot does get busy with shoppers, but it's not horrible. I found a parking spot and walked in. The cart requires a loonie. As usual, I didn't have one. Instead, I used a small basket for my items. I needed celery and avocados. The produce section was excellent. Everything looked fresh and in decent condition. I found my items and continued shopping. This neighbourhood has East and West Indian communities. You see food catering to them at this store, from Indian snacks to plantains, both in the produce section and in chip form as snacks. It does have a decent Asian section. I loved seeing shrimp-flavoured chips that are highly addictive and an impressive assortment of ramen. I ended up getting some coconut oil. I had just run out of it. This store also has an impressive assortment of juice flavours. I saw guava, lychee, and mango juices, just to name a few. I got a cheerful cashier at the checkout. I had brought a bag, so I stuffed it as she ran my items through the scanner. I paid with a debit card. Done! I thanked her and happily left with my grocery items on a rainy day. I have since returned whenever I'm back at Circle K. It's a good No Frills. I like it better than my local one because staff are friendly and it has everything that I need. (349)

The clerk scanned my optimum card but no reward points was given. I asked the clerk and her response was that I had to use a PC credit card to receive points.. that's not true.. she even tried to get me to apply for one... store seems shady..

I Set up there Ottawa location for the company Toronto management very Toxic they give opportunity based off Prejudice personal views first not professional, they talk trash about staff/customer base, other religions, staff members wife's cause of their views no basic respect or gratitude for the business they get, zero safety standard banged my foot there saying don't do "incident reports" they operate a lift u need a license for not having one, will belittle you an take advantage of everything you do giving opportunity or training to people based off prejudice views first and they end up leaving the company its unprofessional joke, just taking advantage of the government kick back on wages by hiring certain people and screwing everyone else. Worked at there Ottawa location for 3 years took over there sales floor changed 90% of it setting up there store for the company, covered an fixed everything all pricing/items not in the system, merchandising issues made that store function for the longest time. Was kept on the side the whole time even when they did the initial change of chemicals I was already doing everything at that point an the Toronto management did the walk with the manager and a buddy of the company who was hired for only a few weeks to help them out, I was working that day ended taking over a day later having to call Toronto management cause the manager told me to call them after that I did the rest of the store pretty much doing everything covering the whole floor, a lot of customer service and all the trucks I unloaded Ambient/freezer even transfers or store maintenance you name it I covered and fixed it all. Having to bud in all the time to help them out for the store to function, I had ask for all my raises and promotion they gave me floor supervisor and found out somebody already had it who knew the owner. I worked 2x to 3x harder compared to everyone else to get that position it was fake found out they would make fun of fact he had that position probably me too when they gave it to me. The floor supervisor position got no training or opportunity in the company got to a point where I called Toronto management to see if I had a actually future in the company, was intentionally verbally attacked with the most ignorant distain and disrespect you could imagine, mocking my position bringing up how that staff member already had the position and it meant nothing just trying to trigger me so he could fire me knowing they brought in others and could take advantage of everything I did instead of getting me involved like I earned and having me there a fair amount of time a week 6/7 days so I could do things properly not being on overdrive for them all the time too keep the store going and being takin advantage of. Immediately after that Toronto management put staff in departments to push me out brought in staff from Toronto also, when he brought in the first one they walked in an I was walking out to do something he starred me down with the most pathetic look you could imagine like you're screwed looking at a angle so the new staff couldn't see, even after all that I still finished the rest of the theme/setups I had planned and helped the new Manager fix all the main inventory problems that were in the system he was forced into the situation I don't blame him.
