I cannot recommend these guys enough. I dropped my iPad 2 down the stairs, and the screen was smashed to bits. I called Apple (it would cost £200 to repair). I called my home contents insurance (they wanted £60 excess and couldn't guarantee that my premiums would be affected, plus their estimate was up to 6 months to repair it!) So, I went online and rather nervously sent off my iPad to these guys, using the 'express repair' service as I am off to New York next week. I sent it off last Wednesday recorded delivery, and received it back on Friday morning, completely repaired! In all it cost me: £79.99 for the screen repair £8 for the recorded delivery £14.99 for express repair. I was worried that when they got the iPad, they would suddenly find something else that needed repairing on it, and try and charge me more, but nothing like that happened and it was an extremely smooth service. I am sure that I could have done it cheaper, but Fone Angels guarantee their work for three months. They are very helpful on the phone, they emailed me at every step of the way and they were really careful with the packaging they sent it back in. Highly recommended! read more

This company is truly shocking. I sent them a phone and an iPad for repair a month ago (because they advertised a 5 day turnaround), and paid up front for the service. Then it seems I fell victim to Fone Angels Modus Operandi. First I received an email saying that they coudn't replace the glass screen on the phone without damaging the LCD which would cost an additional £93.00 (I had previously has the glass replaced by another company with no problems). I declined. Then I received another dubious email about the iPad saying that the Power Button Flex Connector needed replacing for another £44.99 (never had a problem with it). Again I declined saying that I just wanted to go with the original repairs. Like many others, after a week or so, I received their standard email saying that the parts they needed to repair the parts weren't available, and then stated that they couldn't give me a date when I would have the items returned. I cancelled the order and asked for a refund. Numerous emails later (including one to the MD, Tim Bennett) were all ignored. The phone was never answered. A month later I still don't have my items or a refund. I have opened a case with Trading Standards and will report them to Watchdog. How can this company still be allowed to trade like this?!! read more

I sent my phone in for a cracked screen after my brother in law recommended Fone Angels. I am disappointed as I was quoted 3-5 days for the repair. They suggested another repair which I initially declined and sent another email 5 minutes later agreeing to the service. The customer service rep didn't notice my second e-mail and confirmed that I declined the service. I had to forward my communication to make sure they received my authorization for the additional repair. When I followed up on the fifth day after the total repairs should have been completed, I got a response that it would finally be dispatched in 1-2 business days for inspection. In my opinion, the inspection would have been taken care of as part of the repair process and not take an additional two days on top of the five it has taken. (If I walked into a store by my office I could have paid triple but had my phone done in 30 minutes). This should have been quoted in the previous e-mail as the expectations set do not match the service delivered. I have not pestered as I understand the timeline quoted but a follow up would be appreciated. I do not appreciate that the phone directs to an e-mail as I am not satisfied by the e-mail communication I have received thus far. I am still waiting on the status of my phone which has now been with Fone Angels for 10 days. read more

Ok have sent in iPad mini. Been told it would cost additional £39.99 for a part which may have been damaged and today received this message. Their advertising says "fast repairs". Leave it to others to judge whether 10 - 20 days constitutes a fast repair. Hello Michelle, Thank you for your email, our standard turn around for repairs is 10-20 working days (as a guide) from the date of receipt. Your order is still within this timescale. If for any reason we are unable to complete the repair within this time scale then we will notify you. Once your order is complete and ready for dispatch you will receive an email notification from us. Thank you for your patience, we look forward to returning your order to you shortly. read more

I had the usual business of being asked for more money once they had the iPhone (5C). In the end they repaired the screen, it was a simple crack, took 5 weeks, but the screen is badly fitted and sits unevenly and quite proud in places. The home button works fine (they said it needed repairing) but the actual touch screen is extremely poor. Took twenty minutes to start using the phone it is so glitchy! It was actually much more usable when the screen was was broken. I won't be asking them to remedy their mistake, I can't wait another 5 weeks or be bothered with the hassle of dealing with this company. Lesson learned. Be warned! read more

SCAM SERVICE! They should change their name to Fony Angels. Avoid them at all cost. Read the real reviews about them on uk.Trustpilot, you will see that I am not the only one who has had the worst service. They have been keeping hold of my my ipad for 2 months. Initially they offered extras to get more money from me, when I politely asked for just the basic service, they went radio silent for 1 month. They did not reply until I threatened them with legal action. It is now close to month 3!!!! and they are not replying to messages. I still do not have my ipad back. How about that for a paid service? PS: Mrs Serial Reviewer (Emma M.) with 440 reviews, writes reviews for a living.... Do not be fooled by that orchestrated rubbish with "I cannot recommend these guys enough" B** S**! read more

I would stay well clear of this "company" based on my experience with them. They advertise a very fast service. As soon as I paid for my repair and sent my IPad off I learnt that it would take several weeks ("usually high demand" apparently). I was also told that the repair would cost more than they had initially quoted. I then asked for a refund and for my IPad to be returned. My pad was returned but I have not yet received a refund - and I was told it was being processed eight weeks ago. I have tried to contact the company several times in the last four weeks. My emails are completely ignored and my calls are unreturned. Avoid! Avoid! read more

IMPORTANT; FONEANGELS GET TO CHOOSE WHICH CUSTOMERS REVIEW THEM ON FEEFO. Sent Glaxy S4 for simple cracked screen repair, after 3 weeks told that the LCD was broken and repair would cost another £120. They admitted the LCD had stopped working while they had it, but said it wasn't their fault. The phone has now been returned to us with the broken screen, broken LCD AND damaged casing. Check out reviews on reviewcentre.com and the unahppy customers who have tweeted them. read more

Thinking of sending your device to Foneangels ? Read this first Sending away an iPad ? Before your device is even looked at you will be emailed telling you that you need to pay £14.99 for a frame bezel ( note that this part HAS to be changed for the repair to be complete decline this replacement and it will be replaced anyway ) Within a few days of sending your device be at an iPad iPhone iPod or Samsung one of there sales team will call you telling you that during inspection another component has been damaged . This is complete rubbish they we usually tell you the " home button flex " is damaged on your iPad Mini this again is complete rubbish I myself have been hit by both of these scams as a fully trained technician I was informed about this company and decided to investigate After opening up my iPad device it was blatently obvious that Nothing has been changed other than the digitzer screen A friend of mine also sent there device to Foneangels and was advised to change the home button flex this part does not exist on an iPad 2!!! Overall it is pretty obvious this company is false selling and blatently liying to its customer DO NOT SEND YOUR DEVICE TO FONEANGELS read more

This is the first time I have ever felt compelled to leave negative online feedback about a company, but my experience with Foneangels was so poor that I felt I had to! I sent my for phone for repair on 8th December 2014 (Royal Mail tracking confirmed that the phone was delivered to Foneangels on the morning of 9th December). Didn't hear anything for over a week, eventually getting an email apologising for a "busy period" they were having in the runup to xmas (as if people wait all year to have their devices repaired at christmas.....). I was told at this point if my device had been received on or before the 9th Dec I would get it back before christmas. I eventually got it back on 7th January 2015, and just to round things off the courtesy message saying when my phone would arrive back was sent a day early. When the phone arrived it had a big faulty patch in the middle of the screen, so I rang Foneangels. They said if I sent it back it would be repaired under warranty as an express repair (1 day turnaround) and I would have the postage cost refunded. Neither of these were true. It took another 2 weeks for me to get my phone back for the second time, and I have yet to receive the postage cost back. Additionally the final repair was shoddy (front camera hole barely aligns with the camera behind it) but by this stage I couldn't bring myself to send the phone back to Foneangels for a third time. Overall a terrible experience- do not use this company! Wish I had done the repair myself, would have been cheaper and faster! read more

Since my initial 2* review commenting on the time taken and issues with an extra part being fitted, I have been contacted by a manager at FoneAngels who apologised further for the problems I had. He agreed that the service was below the standard they expected to deliver and he refunded the £35 fee for the extra part as a good will gesture. As I had indicated in my main review, the repair was perfect and as such I will re rate the company to 4* Many thanks. read more

DO NOT USE FONE ANGELS. If I could give it NO stars I would. They have had my device for 6 weeks, I have been given a number of dates for it to be returned and not received anything. I now have no confirmed date for ever getting it back. The only excuse I regularly have recieved is 'we are busy' this is not OK. Every time the date hits for when they have told me I would recieve it I get in contact and it has still not been allocated to a repair person. I have had NO proactive contact from FONE ANGELS and their phone system takes you to a recorded message and hangs up. Actually I have just looked up other reviews, there are only about 4 positive ones, 38 are really bad.... read more

I sent an iPad Air 2 with a cracked screen to FoneAngels for repair. They confirmed receipt on 18 October 2016. It is now 1 December and they have not returned my device. I received an email yesterday day which said my repair was at the 'parts allocation' stage and they expect it will be another 10-15 days before the iPad is repaired. They have sent the same email twice previously. On three separate occasions, I have emailed asking for details of their complaints procedure and they have not been provided. FoneAngels, I've noticed that you appear to be unable to find order numbers for those leaving negative reviews. For reference, my order number is PBL-75265. Follow-up: I contacted the "priority" service department, which Fone Angels say on this review page will result in a response within 2 hours. It's been five days and I haven't had a reply. Follow-up 2: It has now been three months since I sent in my device and I've had nothing other than auto-sent "no progress" updates from FoneAngels. Following advice I read in a different review of the company, today I packed up my toddler and went to their office in Rickmansworth (in the Regus office at Cardinal Point, Park Drive, WD3 1RE) to wait. I've been here about 45 minutes. I was initially told my device had been collected in October. When I advised that it had not and that I am still receiving automatic email from them confirming that my repair is "in progress", they agreed to "look for it". This does not inspire confidence. Someone from their office has just been down to say that apparently my order number was duplicated. No explanation as to the significance of this, but I am told that my device will be brought down, repaired, in just a few minutes. Watch this space... read more

Absolutely disgusting service - Order number 79577 An apple tablet was sent in for repairs booked on the 7th of December 2016, they said they would be done in 10 to 15 working days, Order Number 79577. Within a day they sent a message that they couldn't replace the screen without replacing the battery and to return the tablet without this extra repair will warrant an extra charge. Being caught in a catch 190, I asked that they add the battery replacement repair (something I know I didn't need but nonetheless I was charged for). Anyhow, today is the 13th of January 2017, I have not received my tablet (outside their repair window stated), I have not received a single message from them, every email I send to them is not replied, they just acknowledge receipt with a no reply email address and that is that. I have tried calling them on the phone: Freephone: 0800 334 5442 Local Call: 01923 590 037, and I was directed to automated machines that tell me to leave a message after a beep "as they are busy", that beep never comes but the call cuts and ends. I have send a message on their online contact us form: it is like talking to a genie with no ears. I have now assumed this is a sham company and they may decide to just disappear with my tablet as there is no other means of contacting them until such a time that they decide to reply or return my tablet. My advice to you, don't use them, your local tablet repairer probably has more credibility than these guys. PS: They had the thought to mark my review up on Trust Pilot because they claim they cannot find me on their records, so Now I am Posting a review on every single review website in the world. read more

I sent my ipad in for a simple battery change. I soon received an email asking for extra money to replace the screen which might get damaged when they replace the battery! I sent them an email 2 days ago saying not to do that and just replace the battery as per the original order and that they should have mentioned this extra charge before i sent my ipad to them! I am now very concerned because i have not heard back from them and have read other reviews about this scam, always saying more monies need to be sent to fix another problem that they discover after owners have parted with their device and their money. As this was suppose to be a 2-3 day turnaround and it has been almost 2 weeks since i parted with my money, i am assuming the worst. However, good news, if i do not hear back from them next week i will personally fund a civil law suit against the company and given large number of disgruntled reviews i have read will then seek crowd funding to do my best to sue for damages on an industrial scale. Obviously if by some miracle i actually get my device back, fixed, without further charges, i will gladly remove this review and tell my solicitors to step down. read more

I decide to use this company on the basis of some quite good reviews on-line. There were a few bad reviews but I took my chances. I wish I didn't. This has been awful from the start for many reasons. I decided to take advantage of an offer to send two devices in for repair which meant I could get a few courier service. This was on the 31st Dec 2014. It took them two weeks to get someone out to collect my device due to a mistake on the order. Fair enough. The devices were then sent to them on the 14th. ...it took until the 2nd Feb 2015 to get both devices back. Even then the screen on one now had two new defects that weren't there when I sent it off. They've not got back to me since I've complained, they've ignored my emails and I'm a step away to travelling to their offices (which is quite a trek) to try and get them to resolve my dispute. It has been nothing short of a farce and caused me more hassle and I wish I'd never used them. Avoid. read more

Shockingly bad service. I purchased their express repair service and and they collected my phone. I then didnt hear anything from them for 4 days. I contacted them for an update to which i got the response of: We are waiting for a part to arrive and your item wont be ready til next week. Not only did they not inform of this delay, but they also were happy to let me pay for an express service they were never able to fulfill. DO NOT USE FONE ANGELS, YOU WILL PROBABLY NOT SEE YOUR HANDSET AGAIN AND END UP PAYING EXTRA FOR FONEY REPAIRS. There are many many customers online who have had bad experiences with this company and have had to seek citizens advice to get their handsets/tablets back. They promise a 3 -5 day turnaround. DO NOT TRUST THEM. They keep your device for months and the only time they will contact you is to say you need to pay for a random repair which probably doesn't need doing, but they have you over a barrel. Ive still not received my handset back and now seeking citizens advice for help myself. The reviews on their website are not a true reflectio and will not post the hundreds of poor reviews. Useless service for IPAD screen repair. Beware and don't fall into the trap I'm Sri. I sent my Ipad mini to fix the cracked screen on 16th April and until now they haven't fixed my ipad yet, reason no stock availability, that is for 15 days. But when I asked them to send my ipad back and refund the money they said they are happy to do that but that the screen has been removed and no one else can repair it later. I was like what?? then why was the screen removed without making sure there is enough stock of ipad screens. The problem started when they asked me via email for change of menu button for £44.00. I said no and replied I see it is £3-£4 in ebay. The person immediately replied with a discount and that it is only £33. I still said NO. Then after 2 days they sent me standard emails for 2-3 days in a row (same email) that there is no stock of ipad screen and they have prioritised my order but they are still waiting for it. God knows when that will be done. Still waiting. I will paste all the email conversations we had to prove how genuine this case is. I have also planned to go to BBC Watchdog to report this issue. https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/www.foneangels.co.uk Also please please read the reviews in the above link from Ayo (31st March), Christopher Thomas (4th April), Patrick Gillespie (18th April) and Josephine Bradby (18th April). All same Ipad screen issue and same problem, 3+ weeks rather than 3-5 days. So it is not just me, they do the same for everyone. Please NEVER SEND YOUR IPAD SCREEN REPAIR to this company. Haven't come across such a bad service ever. Will keep posted. read more

I've had a very poor experience with FoneAngels and am at the stage where I am considering making a claim against them. I had sent my IPad in due to a suspected battery issue. After receiving the device, FoneAngels confirmed the battery needed to be replaced and a promised to repair it within a few business days. Unfortunately, I experienced continued delays, repeated promises that the device will be repaired imminently followed by radio silence. The nature of the delays was also not communicated clearly with one email only referring to "complications". After waiting more than 3 weeks I was abruptly informed that there was a "dead spot" discovered on the screen of the device which might me irreparable. I was told there was a 30%-50% chance that the IPad may be damaged during the repairs and that they would only proceed with the works if I took the risk! The device did not previously have a "dead spot" and it was clear to me to that they wanted me to take responsibility for an issue that had arisen while they were in possession of and had been carrying out work to the device. Particularly, given the amount of time Fone Angels had my device (without reporting this issue) and also given the complications and delays they had admitted to, I found their position completely unreasonable and dishonest. I have tried my best to resolve the issue to no avail. I have asked Fone Angels whether they deny the issue arose while the device was in their possession and they have not done so. Yet they continue to refuse to take the risk of repairs. Recently they have chosen to ignore my emails and are hoping I will just give in and accept their position. They are clearly mistaken and I will continue to pursue this vigorously until the matter is resolved. At this stage I am left with little choice but to consider the small claims court. I will never use their services again given my appalling experience read more

I sent off my ipad 4 with a small crack to the top corner (less than 5mm) sustained when it fell from the arm of a chair to the floor less than 2.5′ down, the ipad was fully functional except for the minor crack at the top. Having had the ipad 2 days fone angels contacted me to advise that my home button cable had been damaged in the fall (this part is set quite far in to the device and was fully functional, it is also the part that all of the screen replacement guides advise is very easy to damage when removing the screen glass), they expected me to pay an additional £49.99 to replace a part that cost £2.99 http://www.amazon.co.uk/Replacement-Home-Button-Flex-Cable/dp/B00P1OHNPU but can also be purchased cheaper via ebay even though there was no way that the damage could have been done except for when they were working on it. the cheapest ipad 4 replacement service would appear to be subsidised via 'additional costs for damaged components' it seems like the old cheap MOT trick, ohhh look you failed on these bits here is the bill to fix them!. read more

BEWARE! I sent my iPad in to have the home button repaired, cost as advertised £49.99 + £14.99 postage, I sent my iPad in and made the payment for the repair. Once they had my iPad and had received the payment for the job they then mailed me and told me they couldn't repair the home button without breaking the screen and I would need to pay an extra £39.99, this effectively doubled the cost of the repair. If they can't repair the home button without breaking the screen then don't advertise the cost of repair at £49.99 and then wait until they have it to ask for the extra payment. I've now not had my iPad for a week and I've received it back unrepaired and lost £14.99 wasted postage. read more

They did not repair my ipad (simple cracked screen repair) in over 6 weeks, eventually I threatened them with County Court proceedings to just get them to send it back, still not got it, or a refund although it is allegedly on its way back (still cracked). AVOID!!!! Don't believe any expected turn around time you're given, they just make it up, by the time I eventually got someone to actually respond to me, he admitted they just have a massive backlog and in over 6 weeks hadn't even got round to looking at my ipad. Not sure how long the wait would be for an actual repair but other reviews indicate 2-3 months. Also they will tell you (without anyone even looking at your device) that you need xyz addition repair done, most common seems to be 'wear and tear to the the charger port' on ipads/iphones. This is a scam. They tell everyone the same story and basically double the cost of your repairs. If you refuse they will reduce the price offered slightly and then really forcefully push you to accept the additional work - don't fall for it! They don't answer calls. They won't reply to emails unless you to attempt to instigate a paypal dispute (which I'd recommend). Totally shambolic time wasters. read more

I am completely ticked off with this company. I sent my Ipad to them to repair the cracked screen and fit a new battery. I received an email saying that the volume switch was broken and it would cost another £50 to fit another switch (which I paid). Now my Ipad has been with them (at writing) 6 weeks. All my enquiries ether get ignored or a email saying "I apologise that we have had the device longer than anticipated. Your device is due to be allocated to a technician to be repaired next week and we will let you know once it has been. The device will then be dispatched via Royal Mail special delivery which is a next working day service." I have now come to the conclusion that one of the following has happened 1) they have a genuine reason for the delay 2) this is a scam My next port of call will be the police as I believe it is number 2 in the list. If Fone Angles are reading this. Return my Ipad repaired or return my Ipad and my money. read more

Absolute scammers! We sent an iPad to be mended. A simple screen repair. It had been working fine for over a year with this cracked screen. They never sent out packaging to send the device off as promised. So we sent it using our own courier. Very quickly they got in touch to say the proxy sensor also needed fixing. We knew that was a lie and we declined. They pushed again with a special lower price. Declined again. That's when all communication stopped. The weeks ticked by. We started to get worried so did some digging. Oh man what a lot of information we found! So many unhappy customers. It looks very much like they remove all the bad reviews from their web site. They are at present in liquidation but it looks like they will carry on trading after under the same name. They manipulate reviews on other review sites. They post fake posative reviews to boost ratings. After this review here of mine, I wouldn't be surprised if a whole bunch of posative reviews follow. Our iPad did eventually come back to us repaired 5 weeks later. We were one of the lucky ones. It shouldn't take that long. Others have waited far longer and others have had botched repairs. People who have paid for so called extra repairs have since found out that these repairs haven't been done. Please do not use this company. You have been warned. read more

I cannot believe how badly run this company is. I paid £54.98 for the fast track service . I delivered my phone on a Thursday to be told the repair would take 1 hour not half an hour as stated on their website. When I returned I was told that they had no black screens . As I needed my phone for business I was unable to leave the phone. I was promised they would get an order the next day. I had to chase and chase. Then finally the following Tuesday I got a call. I was offered no apology. It was only when I demanded a refund they promised to refund the 14.99 fast track fee. 2 weeks later I am still waiting for a refund. I have now made contact with trading standards. Maybe I have been unlucky but I will stick to the local phone shops in watford that charge £30 while u wait. Very disappointed. read more

I had a really poor experience with Fone Angels. They not only failed to fix my Samsung Galaxy S5, they also did additional damage to it. They took 2 weeks to fail to complete a repair that was supposed to take 5 days, and refused to give me a full refund, let alone compensation for the damage they caused and the additional time that they had my device for. They also refused to publish my original review which makes me suspicious of the good ratings shown here. When I complained my case was badly mismanaged by customer service who sent a number of nonsense messages to me with regards other people's complaints rather than my own. Ultimately I would not trust or recommend this organisation based on my experience with them. read more

Having read previous reviews I felt that I should also post regarding my experience as a customer of Fone Angels . I sent an iPad 3 to them some months ago and a day after they had my Tablet they sent me an email asking me for another £15 for a frame Bezel seemed dogey but being an older gentleman I dont no much about these computers so agreed and paid . They then called me a few days later telling me my home button was broken now my glass was cracked at the top right hand side and no where near this button however the Girl who called me told me the home button would need replacing . Again I not knowing a lot about these computers took her advice and paid another £40 to have this part fixed but looking at some other review it would seem I had been had my device was the iPad 3 and I have later read that this part is not only rarely damaged with a cracked screen BUT DOESNT EXIST!!!! I am currently in the process of filing a claim to the small claims court and will be sending an email to the Director later I belive his email is Tim@foneangels.co.uk for those who want there voices heard I shall be sending Tim an angry email and processing a claim via the small claims court DO NOT USE FONE ANGELS THEY ARE TRIYING TO RIP YOU OFF I had a second damaged iPad a few weeks later beonging to my Grandson rather than take it to Fone Angels who took almost a month to repair my device and ripped a pensioner off for £55 i sent the iPad to www.quickmobilefix.com while there offices where not the most modern looking offices at least they did not mug off a pensioner and keep my grandsons ipad for a month!! AVOID THIS RIP OFF MERCHANT AT ALL COSTS!!! read more

Fone Angels have failed to respond to my many emails chasing up my refund - "oh its the xxxxxx department, I'll chase them for you" excuse - time and time again. However, they were able to have the temerity to remove my review stating that I didnt exist as as a customer...might explain why they cant find my 25% + express postage refund either. They CANNOT be contacted by phone. Please, please, PLEASE, take the time to read the plethora of reviews from others who have encountered slow turnaround times, additional repairs at extra cost after "initial investigation" and poor to non-existent resolution of customer issues. -- they talk a very good talk according to their website reviews (who ever posts even a mediochre one), but when it comes to action - FoneAngels certainly cannot walk the walk. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID Dont take my word for it - do your research check other review sites, Twitter #foneangels, Watchdog and Trading Standards read more

Stay well away. this company have featured on Rip Off Britain and Watchdog on BBC3. Use Google to view the shows. Do you research before buying into the glitzy website. 1 month to complete a 1hour job is simply outrageous. In short, I had a horrific experience; they'll gladly take your money. I could have gone to the previous repair shop I used, spent a few pounds more but my phone would have been fixed within a few hours. If you do decide to use FoneAngels I wish you the best of luck, but if you encounter any problems, ask them to guarantee their time frames. That way you have ground for legal action. On a closing note the twitter feed of #foneangels is very insightful. I wish I saw this first, but I'm not a twitter user! read more

I sent my phone to FoneAngels to be repaired for a simple front screen replacement. FoneAngels then contacted me to tell me they would sort my phone but if the bottom touch screen was broken as well (which it wasn't by any means) they would charge me a extra £150. With this in mind I then asked for a full refund and my phone back, it took over a week for me to get my phone back and a month later I finally got a refund but not even the full amount! just 3/4 of it. Their customer service is slow and sloggy and it took me weeks at a time and prescient emails to get a hold of anyone. AVOID AT ALL COST. read more
