We bought tires there last year and tire rotations are included. Took it on a couple of weeks ago and they wouldn't honor the service stating the front tires were 2mm worn more than the rear and it was unsafe. Well, the only way that would have happened was the last time it was in for a rotation they didn't do it. I rotated the tires myself. This location has really gone downhill. I've been coming here for years and in the past have always had very friendly service and pretty timely, too. Today I had an appointment for tire rotation and balance. I have paid a fee for this so that I have free ones for the life of the car, even though they used to be free. Arrived 5 minutes early for my appointment. Three workers. One on the phone, one helping somebody else, one who came in from outside and then proceeded to take three phone calls. Three. While a line formed behind me. Having been in customer service myself, I was trained that you take care of the customer in front of you not the person calling in who may or may not end up being a customer. It's one thing to answer and put them on hold and then deal with the people in front of you but when you go on to have conversations about the kind of tires they might like with three different people while your actual customers with appointments stand in front of you is insulting. And unprofessional. The guy who was on the phone when I walked in was still on the phone when I left. 15 minutes with one customer on the phone?? The person who was with somebody when I walked in ended up walking out to the shop with not even a glance to those of us waiting in line. The guy who answered three phone calls before speaking with me took my name and said to have a seat and he would check me in in 10 or 15 minutes. So, he would check me in 20 minutes after my appointment time?? That's just inexcusable. If you're not going to honor your appointment times, don't make them. But it's unprofessional and insulting for any company to think my time is less important than theirs. read more

Beware: Tire Pros of Folsom: I brought my car to Tire Pros of Folsom for a routine service, and was shocked to receive a $12,700 estimate for a transmission replacement. They told me it was urgent and implied the car wasn't safe to drive. Something felt off, so I got three separate opinions from reputable mechanics , including a transmission shop. All of them confirmed the same thing: there was absolutely nothing wrong with my transmission. No issues, no repairs needed. This felt like a clear attempt to upsell an unnecessary, high-cost repair, and I could've lost thousands if I hadn't double-checked. Be careful. I strongly recommend getting a second opinion before authorizing any major work at this shop. Very disappointed in their tactics. read more

Awesome dudes-- I waited to the last minute to seek an alignment prior to my track day. Showed up to my appointment at Firestone, but apparently they use some awful equipment where it only fits on lifted 4x4's. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Gave Tire Pros a ring and they were able to fit me in within the hour.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They were also able to do my custom alignment which many shops will only do OEM spec which is not ideal for my car. They hit my alignment numbers spot-on, both sides, front and back, which most shops just 'get it close enough'. Lastly, they don't charge you a kidney for an alignment. I have to get quite a few alignments throughout the year from tracking the car and this will be my new 'go-to' alignment shop in Folsom for sure. read more

I am saddened to leave this review because I had a good experience the last time I was in. I attempted to communicate with Eddie but he stated, and I quote, "Whatever is on the wheel is how it was when dropped off." I had 2 tires mounted to my wheels, and it is very clear that the tech used some kind of tool to pry the center caps off instead of simply pushing the caps off from behind. The caps have to be removed in order to mount them onto the balancer. This was the first time the wheels have been off the car since it was new and they had zero damage to them. (I am very particular about my vehicles...some would call me OCD). Now, my 2 wheels have pry marks through the paint down to the aluminum. I thought I was very reasonable only asking for a refund of the work to mount the tires instead of pursuing the cost of new wheels, but Eddie made it very clear he has no intention of providing any type of customer service or accountability. Coming from a car enthusiast, if you care about your car and do not want any damages then I highly recommend going elsewhere for your vehicle needs. read more

As a former mechanic, I truly believed that dealerships are more expensive than regular mom and pop shops, but I don't think it is so much the case anymore. Came in for a pre-arranged early morning alignment appointment. I'm not sure why I had to wait an hour before the car was taken in. Fine! I have done alignments myself before and watched others do them, so you can imagine that I was surprised when the alignment was done in less than 10 min. What a load of B.S. The steering wheel was not center properly, and I asked to extra focus on that since it will drive me crazy that the wheel is off center. On a separate occasion, I came back to them to replace a starter and fix realignment at the same time. Mind you, I know how to diagnose a bad starter, and I determined that the problem with the intermittent start /no start problems is with bad starter solenoid (10 years old starter). I was told by the shop that I would have to pay for diagnostics of about $150 (about), and that amount would NOT go towards the new starter (refurbished). I told them that I don't need/want to pay for that since I am certain 100% that it is the starter. They said they couldn't do it in order to avoid replacing unnecessary parts, and due to the fact that (me saying) they want to make money off diagnostics. I said I would be willing to sign a release from liability and be responsible if it was not the starter after all. I ended up going to Honda. The diagnostics charge went towards the parts and labor as it should. It was cheaper than the tire pros, I received a 3-year warranty instead of 1 year( tire pros), and it was a Honda refurbished part compared to the Auto Zone after market refurbished part (tire pros). I will not go there again. Honda dealership is much better. read more

This is the second time that they've came through for me I had the lift kit Replaced on my Jeep JKU With a 5 inch metal cloak And it was all over the road I brought it to Folsom tire pros and they were able to figure out that The camber was way out and the front and back tracking was all out of whack even with the 40 inch tires it tracks and handles better than it ever has then I just had him do a 3 inch lift on my mini clubman and that handles really good I really trust them the mini turned out so coolAnd a long time ago they did the leveling kit on my Ford raptor my experience is always been great with them read more

I recently took my car into Folsom Tire Pros for a balancing issue. Vibration in my steering wheel and front end. When I picked up my car they presented me with an almost $2000.00 estimate for parts that were not faulty in my vehicle. Here is there review of my cars needs... CHECKED SUSPENSION AND STEERING FOUND DRIVELINE U JOINTS DRY LUBED AND CONTINUED CHECKING. STEERING GEAR ROCKING SIDE TO SIDE. RACK BUSHINGS WORN. RIGHT INNER TIE ROD HAS EXCESSIVE MOVEMENT. RECOMMEND RACK AND PINION FOR NEW BUSHINGS INNER TIE RODS RECHECK After asking them if it was safe to drive with these issues, not having any knowledge of such issues, they said yes. I went home and researched these recommendations and every forum said not to drive your vehicle if these parts are failing, it wasn't safe. Everywhere mentioned that If these parts failed, all steering control would be lost potentially causing a fatal accident. This was concerning on so many levels, beginning with the fact that I was told by the shops owner Eddie, that my car was "safe to drive", "see how it feels and let us know". I called Toyota to get an appointment for a second opinion, gave them the paper work from Folsom Tire Pros, had them inspect the areas mentioned by Folsom Tire Pros, only to be told that there is nothing wrong with my car. I am writing not to come after their business, but to suggest to others that consider doing business with them to get a second opinion if given a costly estimate. I spent $190 to take it to Toyota to get a second look, but it was worth it since it saved me almost $2000 dollars in repairs. I had been hearing this weird clunking sound coming from my car for about a week, and on top of that, my AC had went out 2 weeks before that. A friend of mine recommend Folsom Tire Pros. This review is weeks overdue, but I have a lot going on to say it mildly. Had to run to Kaiser for an allergy test which was quick, we were out in about 20-25 mins. Car didn't start, would not even turn over. After a couple tried jumping it with no luck, i called AAA (45+ minute wait time) so I also posted my situation online, as I had my 4 children with me, one which is a baby. **this was after hours & businesses were closed**A woman sent her bf to help. He immediately saw that the battery was leaking all over the inside under the hood area, & said I need a new battery. He actually went to the store for me & installed a new battery while my children & I waited. I later found that this man, "Woody" works at Folsom Tire Pros, so after my court case is over, I will be taking my vehicles to this business, as their customer service FAR EXCEEDS the norm. Minus 5 stars!! I would give this business a negative 5 stars if I could. My 93 year old Dad brought in his 2015 VW Passat for an oil change. They did the oil change and my Dad's car started leaking oil all over his garage floor the next day! I called and they told me to bring it in so they can check it out, so I brought it in. After a couple hours they called me and said it was ready. When I went to pick it up, I asked what was wrong with it, they told me the o-ring in the drain plug of the cap of the oil filter housing was not seated correctly and that they fixed it. A couple days later the car was still leaking oil!!! I again had to bring it in so they could look at it. T On top of all that, I had to clean up all the oil that leaked all over my Dad's previously very clean garage floor, not once, not twice, but three times!!' I do all my oil changes on all my own cars, so I'm not so sure what was so difficult about changing the oil I'm my Dad's car. They told me they used an aftermarket oil filter for a VW Passat. If anyone is familiar with VWs and European cars, they take a specific type of oil filter with o-rings. If they didn't have the right filter, couldn't properly do the work, or didn't know how to do the work they should have told me prior to the work being done! This is totally UNACCEPTABLE!!!! Don't patronize this business! A simple oil change turned into a nightmare, and created a lot of work for me because I had to clean up my 93 year old Dad's garage!! read more

Toyota told me it would be over $300 to change the hatch release button cover on my 2007 Toyota. I purchased the button cover on Amazon--$8.00 and Eddie unscrewed the old one, cleaned off the melted rubber and put on the new one.! I had some other work done, so he didn't even charge me for that. I have never been to actual honest tire facility like this one. My car was shaking so bad I thought my tires were going to fall off. I had bought 4 tires from what I thought was an honest business. When tire pros checked those tires they seen that all the tires were bad instead of trying to see me new rims and tires they checked all my tires. To my amazement all my tires were good even though I was told different from that not so honest business. My tires were just severely out of balance. There main concern was just making sure that I was able to get home safe. When I say they are honest they truly are I suggest everyone take there car here it is truly a honest tire shop which is hard to find!! read more

I was originally happy with my purchase of 4 new high performance tires on my BMW. Within a year a bubble formed on the front right tire and I took it in to get it replaced under warranty. They said it was my fault and denied any kind of replacement substitution or compensation.. 95.00 dollars for a 5 quart synthetic oil change is way too much to charge. But what really bothered me was them wanting to charge me extra to diagnose my engine light!! Really? You couldn't just absorb that in the overpriced oil change? Jiffy Lube will diagnose it for free and without buying any service from them. To top it off the engine light was just the gas cap that needed to be tightened. I ended up leaving and went to Walmart. Same oil change using Mobil 1 synthetic was 49.00 out the door!!! I have been taking g my truck and jeep here for a few years. I took my jeep in for diagnosis on over heating and a check engine light. They told me that the radiator had a leak and that the check engine light was from the purge valve for the evap system. I didn't have them do the repairs due to being over priced compared to 2 other shops. Using the paperwork they gave me with there diagnosis on it I took it to another shop to have it fixed and they did. Within 24 hours the check engine light was back on with the EXACT same code. I called asking to have them run diagnosis at no charge since there first o e was wrong and didn't fix the issue. They said they wouldn't do that, all I asked was to have them rerun the diagnosis. read more

This post is late. Over a year ago, I had some shocks replaced here. The customer service was good overall and the work was completed...so I thought. Today, I had some suspension work completed at a reputable local shop. I recieved a call today from that shop to ask me who installed my Bilstein shocks. They also let me know that one of the rear shocks was completed missing the main bolt to hold them into place, on the bottom of the assembly. Also, the matching bolt on the other side was a random after market bolt. This was NOT the case before, since I was replacing worn OEM shocks. I am shocked and appalled at the sloppiness of the service I paid for. Not to mention the safety factor. I have literally been driving the vehicle for over a year with the rear shock not secured. I am shocked it never came off. We also had this place replace the front rotors and pads before we embarked on a cross country move last August. The rotors were completely shot in 6 months! Unbelievable! Since we now live across the other side of the country, there is no way to have any warranty type work completed. So disappointing! Cheap parts of course! Bottom line- CHECK THE WORK COMPLETED here before you pay a dime. I didn't and nearly paid a huge price. Total joke. I'd stay away honestly. So disappointed. read more

Sad to say the bitter taste in my mouth has gotten worse from this experience. I was told my wheel alignment was slightly out after having new tires installed. I was short on time and decided to take their advice but worry about it another day. Fast forward some time... I take my vehicle to my manufacturer's service center and $67.00 later I was told that my alignment was perfect, and reassured that their alignment machine/tool (not sure what the technical word here is) was 6 months old and was reliably calibrated. They rescued us! My car overheated and broke down just down the street. We found them with an online search. They could not have been nicer and fixed my car in a day. We really appreciated this. It was hot and we had a second car with us, full of our pets, so it was urgent to us. They told us what to do and if we did not have to wait two hours for a AAA tow, I would bet they would have gotten us back on the road that day. The owner and his wife could not have been nicer. This is hands down the BEST tire shop I have ever got service from. I had he worst experience previously from getting my tire replaced by another company in Oakdale- they damaged my stem valve, on top of that they gave me an 18 year old tire and damaged the tire while putting it on. Folsom Tires made me aware of all of these issues and replaced my valve, along with giving me a replacement tire to get me back to Oakdale where I could get my money back from the other company and give them their again, 18 year old tire back.
