This spot has been a great resource for me for developing disposable camera film and learning more…read moreabout cameras! I originally came in here with a camera I inherited from my gpa. The staff took the time to tell me all about the camera, what film it would take, and even taught me a bit about its different buttons and such. They helped me pick out film and a new battery for it and feel comfortable using it for the first time. They were patient with a camera newbie like me and ready to educate. I have also developed disposable camera film here, and it's been affordable and easy.

This is one of the last true old-school camera shops around. If you love photography, it's worth a…read morevisit just to see rows of gear you won't find in a big-box store. They carry new models from most major brands (no Lumix), plus a rotating selection of used cameras. Beyond bodies and lenses, they've got all the accessories--bags, lights, filters, film processing, straps, batteries--you name it. The staff know their stuff, no question. The only catch is personality: sometimes you'll get an excellent, friendly expert who really listens and helps, and other times you'll get someone who seems disengaged or uninterested. When it clicks, it's fantastic. When it doesn't, you walk out frustrated. Prices are mostly fair but not better than what you'll find online. Their "sales" on top-tier cameras usually match industry discounts--not deep bargains. Returns are tricky: you technically get 30 days, but with a 10% restocking fee. On a $4K camera, that's hundreds lost. If you're unsure about your purchase, consider buying from Amazon or B&H for added safety. Trade-ins can be hit or miss. I've had surprisingly fair offers, as well as others that were laughably low. One camera they offered me $800 for, sold the next day for $1,400. Another time, they lowballed a hot-ticket Fuji X100VI at $800, saying there was a glut of this model. But they had a waitlist for the same model. Store layout could also use work--cameras are in cases that get blocked whenever someone else is being helped, meaning you can stand around 20 minutes just to peek at the gear. UPDATE: My last transaction with the company has led me to question their integrity as a business. I returned a used Sony A7R V that they sold to me as new. They charged a $320 "restock" fee, and they refused to return the camera I traded in for the transaction. In total, they kept nearly $800 from the transaction. They gaslit me about it. My media company has business accounts with four vendors for gear, and we've never had a situation this lopsided. Please be vigilant about details and documentation when buying from them. They can take advantage if you don't. You should always be fair as a customer because business is about relationships. But also realize that not all companies have that same ethic.

I left early Saturday and Sunday due to a manager (from a completely different department than mine???) bullying me and I even told my manager Lauren that this morning. I told her I opened a case with ethics SATURDAY AFTER THE BULLYING INITIATED and I want to transfer stores because Anna decided to gossip about me to her employees and even go as far as to make me feel like an idiot OVER THE WALKIE for asking her to help the customers in perfume and cosmetics. Instead, Lauren, the consumables coach listened and decided to not tell me until 15 minutes before my shift was over that I was fired for "attendance" even though I told her right In the morning TODAY that I was being bullied and already opened a case with ethics. I'm really disappointed in this store, they screwed over me while protecting the bully of the store and honestly it's just sad. If Walmart allows their employees to bully people I don't want to be part of their team, that's why I didn't even post publicly that I worked there. 0/10, don't give the sartell store any of your money. The management team here is the most juvenile I've ever seen out of ANY store. So sad to see people want to mess with someone's livelihood!!!!!

Just wanted to share a horrible shopping experience I had at the Walmart Photo Center in Sartell,…read moreMN. Long story short I needed to go pick up 5 prints. I thought they were in my girlfriend's name so I initially gave them the wrong name, so it's partially my fault but this doesn't account for the experience I had. I ended up standing at the counter for a total of 31 minutes, during which time four different employees came over to ask if I've been help. I should have said "no" because apparently I wasn't being helped. I realized I gave the wrong name after about 5-6 minutes but the employee, who was a manager by the way, had disappeared in the back so I couldn't even tell him to correct it. I eventually managed to get another employee's attention who radioed him, yet he still never returned from the back (he never ended up coming back to the counter). After about 12 more minutes of me standing there like an idiot a different employee comes up and has me write the name the prints are under on a piece of paper. She then disappears for about 15 more minutes while I continue to just stand at the counter. A different employee eventually comes out and tells me that they're getting my order ready. They're getting my order ready?? It was a one hour photo of 5 prints that was sent in two days ago! How are they just now getting my order ready?? I was literally standing at the photo counter for 31 minutes, and the store was fairly busy overall but there weren't that many customers in the photo area. 31 MINUTES. TO PICK UP 5 PRINTS COSTING $4.20. Then to top it all off when I go to the front to pay I realize there's no price label on the prints. It's possible the woman back at the photo counter intended to give them to me for free, but if so she never said that or provided any documentation or anything to show they should be free. All she gave me was a brief, "sorry about that." So at the front I realize the lack of a price label and show the employee up there, asking her how I ring this up. She tells me I need to GO BACK TO THE PHOTO COUNTER, where I just lost 31 minutes of my life that I'm never going to get back. I tell her I was already there for over 30 minutes and it's just 5 prints. Could Walmart offer me them for free for such an inconvenience? Apparently not! Again, the total cost for the prints was $4.20. She insists I need to go back to photo to get the price label and I then spend another 6 minutes waiting for someone, during which time I touched the screen to call an associate 3 times before someone came over. Again, all I got the entire time was a brief, "sorry about that" from the employee who finally handed me the prints. It took an active, conscience effort not to scream, throw the prints, and storm out. I didn't realize how much Walmart Photo hates it's customers, so that was a revelation at least. One of the worst shopping experiences of my life.
