I finally got diagnosed with stage 2 vocal cord cancer after fighting with Tully Family medicine for two years with provider Carrie Anne who told me it was laryngitis, chronic laryngitis and post nasal drip.. If I had stayed with Tully Family medicine I would have had advanced cancer and most likely died. My provider Connie referred me right away, day one to ENT who found the cancer. Connie has been managing my after care and I probably would not be alive today if we did not have a good working relationship. When she transferred to the Orange office from Greenfield, where I had been seeing her, she asked if I wanted to stay at the Greenfield office and I said no, I will follow you to the Orange office. I feel we work well together so why start anew with a brand new Dr.

When I said the name of the dispensary, she said "is that off the street? That could be it." Then she immediately said that "because of my pain," she could not treat me. She did not examine me for more than a minute. I told her several pieces of information about my health but she did not listen to a single thing I said. She could not even repeat back to me what was said, it was like she was pushing me off because I smelled like weed which is NOT quality care. Absolutely disgusting patient care and what a terrible professional. I would recommend that everyone else go to a facility that respects you and your health. If I would have listened to this "professional" about me smelling like weed and that being the problem, I would not have found out I needed to have my gallbladder removed. Thank goodness I left there and went to the ER.

I'm banned from the Athol Memorial Hospital ER. I've been suffering from chronic pancreatitis for 8…read moreyears. Also during this time I was on fentanyl patches 100Mcg for 8 years. The last time I was there about 5 months ago, a nurse, PA that I have never seen before told the ER Dr. Spangler that sometime in the last 8 years I've been going there that I threaten to sue her if she didn't give me drugs. That Dr. ALWAYS treated me well as he know my med situation better then me. He would give me several injection of 2mg of Dilauted and, write scripts for me for narcotic pain meds like dilated scripts. The last time, he came into my room at the ER mad as hell! He kicked me out without treating me, breaking a federal concerning stabilize and treating patients in a ER. He told me to never come back to the ER. Breaking another law. So I'm screwed the next time I need an ER. The Athol Ambulance can ONLY take a patients to the Athol ER. The other hospital ER is about 45 minutes to close to an hour away. And, there is a coverup going on. I had some PR lady messaged me calling me a liar and stating that the ER NEVER turns a patient away. Oh yeah?

Most of the staff should be working on inanimate objects rather then people. A comforting bedside manner is non existent at this facility. I have never been made to feel so unimportant and prejudged in my life. Forget the fact that I almost lost my life do to their negligence, The incompetence pours out in every department. Visiting Athol hospital and the way I was treated was far worse than my illness which they misdiagnosed. I have found a lawyer that is very interested in the details of my horrible experience, perhaps I can do something to at least prevent another from the chances of being mistreated abused misdiagnosed left in pain and humiliated. This place inhabits the worst of the worst in the medical profession.
