The only reason this isn't a five-star review is because I wish they used a different mode of payment for studies and tests. They give you a prepaid Visa card instead of cash or a check. You have to be sure to login to prepaidcardstatus.com in order to get details on your card. If you're going to use it online, this is a must, as the zip code isn't local and you'll learn what the pin is (though I've not been successful at using the pin). I always have trouble spending the entire amount of the card, as well. Sigh. The facility and the staff are great. They welcome you warmly and are efficient at getting you checked in and ready to go. The study rooms can sometimes be chilly, so be sure to bring a jacket. With the construction in the area, it can seem difficult to get to the building. Just follow the (yellow brick - LOL) road down and around, and you'll find it. They pay very well for the studies and tests, so this is a great place to make some cash while sharing your thoughts and opinions on products and concepts. read more

I took off work to come here, and was denied to participate in the study due to an allergy which they hadn't confirmed on the phone. Another lady came late and wasn't able to participate and was paid in full. Remind you, I was on time. They paid me half and were very rude. I've come here a few times and the staff are typically not the most pleasant or helpful. Focus point is great for getting money but go to food perspectives inc or ascendancy research first. read more

I hate to have to give this kind of updated review, but at the moment, it is necessary. I was called by a representative from Focus Pointe Global named Tony last Thursday, April 27, 2017, to participate in a taste test today. I was offered two time slots--one for 10:30 a.m., and another for 1 p.m. I initially asked for the 10:30 a.m. slot, which was confirmed via email. Monday, May 1 at 10:49 a.m., I called FPG to speak with Tony again in order to change my time. Someone named Cort answered the phone, and I asked to speak with Tony. Cort said Tony was not available but that he could take a message. I told Cort I wanted to change my time slot to 1 p.m., if it were possible, and Cort said that he could handle that. Cort claimed he was looking at the log sheet to be sure that there was an open spot at that time, and he said that there was, and that I would be able to, indeed, change my time. He also said he would send out an email with those changes. So, I thought everything was taken care of because I had never had any scheduling issues with FPG before. Another representative from FPG called me yesterday to confirm that I would still be attending the taste test that was scheduled for today. I don't recall a time being mentioned, but again, I assumed that the time change I requested was already taken care of. Today was the scheduled test. I was unsure if I was going to make it on time, so I called FPG, and again, Cort answered the phone. He told me that the client was strict on time and that if I weren't going to make it at 1 p.m. to probably not come, but my ride came in a timely manner such that I was going to be able to make the test at or before 1 p.m. As I was walking out the door, I received a call from Focus Pointe Global. It was Cort, and he claims I was still scheduled for 10:30 a.m., and I corrected him, telling him that he and I spoke Monday, May 1 about my needing to change my time slot to 1 p.m., and that he took care of it. HE SAID HE DIDN'T RECALL THE CONVERSATION. WHAT?!! I'm not crazy, and I have it logged on my phone records that I called Focus Pointe on Monday and spoke with him, yet, he kept claiming we didn't talk. I asked him did he write down or make a note that I called and needed to change my time, and he said HE DID NONE OF THOSE THINGS. SERIOUSLY? Who doesn't take a message, whether written or via computer, when someone calls in? I did speak to Cort's supervisor, Tom, but since Cort claimed he didn't talk with me, didn't send an email, or even made a note that I called, I was not able to be reimbursed. I and the person who was giving me a ride both had to switch around our work schedules to accommodate my attending this test, and I was also expecting to use the extra money that I was going to get. Perhaps I should have double checked when I didn't receive the email, so I take the blame for that; however, since I had never experienced this level of incompetence before with an employee from FPG, I had no cause to expect otherwise. I am EXTREMELY FRUSTRATED AND DISAPPOINTED and will have to decide, once I've fully calmed down, whether or not I want to continue doing focus groups with FPG. read more

I have completed a focus group for $70, a diaper study for $145 to which I received $120 due to an error on my part and they were very upfront at the beginning of the study, and my husband received $75 for a food tasting. Yes you have to fill out surveys to see if you are eligible for studies, how else are they going to know if you meet to requirements of the study?Even if you do meet the requirements there may be others that are JUST LIKE YOU. This means they may have enough people that fit those same requirements. However, when you do get a call from a number you do not recognize, answer it, they could be calling to set up a study. Everyone I have interacted with at Focus Pointe has been polite, upfront and honest. read more

I was skeptical about doing this. I did countless surveys for over a year-not to mention phone calls-it just didn't ever work. In the last few months I have done two so it is legitimate. It is just a very lengthy process. Long surveys and then long phones calls with everything you already stated. If you do get a call from an odd number you must take it...I have called back a couple times and they never called me back-so they fill up really quick. The last one I did was a group setting. When I was walking out the guy running it was picking people to do some sort of surveys online where they go get more "incentives".....I found this very rude and felt slighted that I wasn't picked. read more

Terrible place and they lie all the time. Last time they called me and I did a survey was about 3 years ago. I called them and they have my name, address, phone number and email. When i called them they said they will call me right back, and it has been over 3 months but no return call. Than I called them again and they said they will email me right back and it has been over a month and still no email, I must been on there black list. read more
