Broke my wrist in multiple places playing basketball and went to Focus immediately after the pins were removed...Josephine (primary therapist) accommodated me and saw me immediately. Afterwards, was with Susanna (my therapist) twice a week, who diligently treated me and helped me recover in a short time that I was back playing basketball and golf in a short time. She gave me exercises at home to work on in which we saw drastic improvements practically every session. Was there for about 1.5 months, and was near 100% healed during the time where many readings indicated 3 months for full recovery...but note, you must be willing to work hard on your own too...and they will help you recover according to your willingness. Office was great from management, therapist, administrator to even the interns, they all had personality, friendly, SUPER nice and accommodating... Never a long wait when appointment is scheduled and they always will remind you of your appointment the day before. Highly recommend,..and A++++ review here!!! read more

I can't say enough good stuff about the awesome folks at Focus. Everyone there is awesome, including the wonderful occupational therapists. I had surgery for a broken scaphoid bone in my wrist in October and started OT with Focus when my cast came off. When I started OT, I had basically no ability to bend my wrist and had very limited strength in my arm. I'm now doing great and I'm so grateful for the folks at Focus who were extremely knowledgeable and kind. read more

Very accommodating, professional, flexible, friendly well maintained OT facility and staff. Broke one finger and tore ligaments in another finger playing football and was lucky to find this facility run by former Rusk (NYU Langone Medical Center) faculty. They know the right techniques and are very good with patients in helping them regain strength and get back to original form. I went for about 4-5 OT sessions and was cleared! I didn't even know a hand therapist was a thing until I broke my pinky finger in a bike crash and got a referral from the doctor to go to one. But I'm glad I found this place. Josephine and Winnie were great therapists over the 4 months I went there to recover the full range of motion in my finger. They were clear and creative in their plan of treatment, were clearly up to date in their field and extremely friendly and warm in their patient care. Their office (I went to the Manhattan one as it's near my work) is convenient, and they were flexible with appointments (WEEKENDS!) Their front-office staff was easy to schedule with and helped trouble-shoot insurance issues as my treatment coincided with a change in employer and therefore change in insurance for me. I would highly recommend Focus Hand Therapy & OT. The specific therapist I received treatment from was Winnie Tsui. Winnie is the most experienced certified hand therapist I have ever met - clinical specialist of hand therapy at NYU Medical Center, clinics in two boroughs, and she's even been featured in the NYTimes as a hand therapy expert. I only became aware of her extensive experience after she had been treating my hand injury for weeks. When you meet her, she is approachable and easy to talk to and super friendly. I couldn't have found a better hand therapist - someone who is knowledgeable yet caring and motivating. I am so glad Focus Hand Therapy decided to open another hand clinic in Manhattan. I would have started my hand therapy earlier, but the clinic in Flushing was a little too far for me to travel to. The new clinic's location is right next to the subway station, conveniently accessible and in a nicely renovated new building. What is better than a spectacular view In the therapy room?! read more

They provided me with a thorough and robust treatment for a broken finger which helped me recover in no time. They are both highly educated and affiliated with NYU, and it is readily apparent they attend conferences and do research to stay up to date in the field and enhance their professional practice. The office is clean and the staff always accommodated me, and was able to give me an appointment at any time or day I wanted. I had a great experience rehabbing from hand surgery at Focus Occupational Therapy. William and Winnie were the therapists I saw the most, but I did see Jee Yoon and Ethan as well. They were all amazing. My recovery went as well as possible and I can't thank the enough. The front office was also very helpful when it came to billing and dealing with my insurance company. I broke my elbow a couple of months ago, and one of the highlights of the recovery process has been going to Focus occupational therapy office twice a week to see Winnie, Lucy and the other staff members. Everyone is knowledgable, friendly, and makes you feel like they care about you! I look forward to going into the office each week and working on my elbow while talking with Winnie about a variety of topics in addition to my physical recovery. Lucy at the front desk is very professional and friendly. They always call to check in, and are very accommodating with scheduling which I appreciate with my job. They also have a nice office location which overlooks Chinatown, so while doing physical exercises, you can also enjoy the view. I am so grateful for the Physical Therapy I received for my hand. I cut the tendon of my middle finger on a broken glass. I had surgery to repair and 2 months of Physical Therapy. Doctor's Office is clean, organized and very comforting to their patients. Best doctor that works there is Winnie, everyone else wasn't as friendly, comforting, outgoing and supportive as her. This is by far the best therapy clinic in down town Manhatan. I am a current patient of Winnie and she is the most knowledgeable , professional and friendly therapist I know. I am being treated for an workplace injury for my elbow. I was so lucky to find her in Yelp. All the staff is so nice , the office is clean and the services are very helpful. I think the stars are right - "woohoo! as good as it gets!" - Focus OT is a great place to do the hard work of rehab. The injury is insulting enough but it takes good and patient therapists to return you to functionality. Everyone here was so kind and patient with my questions. The rehab room at the Centre Street location is light and airy with views that help pass the time during repetitions. Winnie Tsui is amazing! She tenderly helped my 15 year old son recover from a most heinous injury with grace, compassion and an unsurpassed understanding of human anatomy.
