Focus Eye Care is a full service eye and vision care provider, accepting both eye emergencies as well as scheduled appointments. Patients throughout the Des Moines metro area come to Focus Eye Care because they know they will receive the personal attention and professional care that is our foundation. Our team is dedicated to keeping our patients comfortable and well-informed at all times. At Focus Eye Care, we will explain every exam and procedure and answer all of our patients' questions.
Our one-on-one approach to optometry makes us the eye and vision care providers of choice in the Waukee area. Dr. Kleve and Dr. Thayer offer the following services: complete eye exams, contact lenses, glasses, glaucoma testing, diabetic eye exams, and pre- and post-operative care. History
Established in 2018.
Focus Eye Care officially opened it's doors to the public on April 10th, 2018. Dr. Peter Thayer and Dr. Lindsay Kleve started their journey of opening a private practice 2 years ago. After many long days and hard work they turned an idea into a business.
Meet the Business Owner: Lindsay K.
Dr. Lindsay Kleve's passion to become an optometrist began when she was working at her hometown vision clinic in Denison, Iowa. From there she completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Northern Iowa while also competing in track and field. She then went on to complete her doctorate with honors at the Illinois College of Optometry.
Dr. Kleve is committed to giving the highest quality eye care to her patients. She completed clinical rotations during optometry school that provided her experience in many different aspects of eye health care. Dr. Kleve is involved in the diagnosis and management of all patient exams including contact lenses, pediatrics, diabetes, glaucoma, high blood pressure, and dry eye while staying up to date and using modern technology.
