    I took my 83 year old mother here for glasses as their advertising drew her in for the 2 pair of…read moreprogressive glasses for $149. She has gotten new glasses regularly for the past 80 years. This experience has been completely unique. Every single contact with America's Best, things get worse. This ophthalmology team at this location, including the never present optometrists, do not seem professional. For some reason the responsible party just skipped dilation and the subsequent examination. We have always been told dilation was absolutely necessary. For some reason Virgil McClintic, O.D. must supervise staff in way that they can randomly choose elected dilation with no explanation as to why. America's Best has had numerous times to fix this. I received a text my mom's glasses came in. We stopped by the office to pick up her glasses. Unfortunately no one was available to adjust them. We were told some days they have no one, but most any other day is fine. The text could have suggested calling first, but it just invited us in. My first attempt at getting this resolved was communicating to the store staff that I was unhappy. They didn't care. It was painfully obvious by the non-verbal feedback. So, my first attempt at expressing concern face to face with the location resulted in NOTHING. My second attempt at feedback was via the feedback form that we received after picking up the glasses. It has been several weeks and I have had no reply to this written complaint. Today, we went to this location for the 3rd time for a fitting. Guess what? No optician available today, Friday, Saturday, Sunday or Monday. America's Best is 100% consistent with dropping the ball. They did tell me to go to any other optometrist and they would adjust the glasses..."it doesn't need to be America's Best, just go to WalMart." We did. WalMart hates the abusive business practices of America's best as well, at least according to their optometry staff. I reached out to America's Best snotty customer care. I notified them of the unprofessional practices by the ophthalmology staff as well as having such difficulty getting glasses fitted. I now know that the representative who took my call and promised it would be escalated, instead decided to document nothing. In fact, from my experience this is standard operating procedure. And although a customer should be able to speak with a supervisor, the sole supervisor (Jessica or Jennifer) takes all day lunches because she has not once been available to take my call, is 100% of the time on her lunch break and doesn't return any telephone calls. She did ask the representative to tell me that she knew I had called, making a point to try to piss all over me to show dominance. This is how she demonstrates her leadership. Pissy pisser pissily pissing. I was also given the number for some kind of regional manager, a Leticia Gold. I spoke with her yesterday and she promised follow-up today by either her, or the GM, Sabrina, today. Leticia also promised me that she would make sure a complete copy of my mother's medical record was mailed to her address on file TODAY. None of the things Ms. Gold promised have come to fruition and they all feel like deceptions at this point. Oddly, the only thing that got a response from America's Best was this Google review. Their social media team immediately responded with an escalations e-mail address, but so far that e-mail seems to be another slow boat. They also responded to me on Instagram after I publicly posted, even promising me a regional manager was desiring to speak with me ASAP, but that was this morning and I've been available all day. Today I called to speak with Sabrina, assuming she may have gotten busy. Guess what? No Sabrina at the store today as Leticia promised. I called to follow-up with Leticia, but was told she was off today as well. I don't know why Leticia chose to lie to me. I called the River City Marketplace location back and spoke with Harry, MOD. He had heard nothing from Leticia, nothing from Sabrina and nothing from anyone in leadership. When I communicated what Leticia had promised, he stated they never provide any copies of patients charts, even upon written request of the patient, a doctor or an attorney. Leticia promises me the records would be mailed out today. She lied, according to Harry. I feel like someone in Compliance needs to get on top of this. I can't begin to recommend this place any less. All I can say is that you've been warned. So much more to share, but limited space to do so... I did email the address in the manager's reply to my original review. Still, no one has contacted me. They have had my request for an escalation for weeks now and still pretend to be interested in calling.

My…read moreinquiries were met with indifference, leaving me feeling like an inconvenience rather than a valued patient. Additionally, I was unexpectedly charged a $30 cancellation fee, despite following the 24-hour notice policy as stated in a text message. When I reached out to address this issue, I was informed that the fee would still apply due to it being a weekend. The lack of clarity regarding weekend exceptions to the policy was frustrating. The unhelpful and rude attitude of the staff further added to my negative experience, with the exception of Dr. Bowden himself. Unfortunately, the unprofessionalism displayed by the staff has led me to seek medical care elsewhere, despite my visual impairment. It is evident that there is a need for improved training in customer service and communication skills at St. Johns office. This experience reflects poorly on the leadership within the office.ere no noere no no r. Bowden was great, but unfortunately this is a reflection of his leadership in his office. I will not be returning back to this particular doctor because of his unprofessional and lack training.

    I went to my appointment and it was packed. I was there before my scheduled time and checked in…read morewith one of the employees. I stood against the wall for about 20 minutes before I was given the papers to complete and led to a different waiting area. In all, I waited for about 30 minutes. There was no consideration of my time, not enough to let me know of the delays/wait time then give the option of rescheduling. I was told that the appointment would take about 45 minutes when I called to set the appointment. That was fine since I was on my lunch break. It's a good thing that I stopped by yesterday to pick out frames ahead of time or else this would've been much longer than the hour and forty-five minutes this took. I had placed a pick up order as well for 1pm but didn't get it until 1:30! I mentioned the lack of transparency and someone who moved like a manager or team lead (Kenyatta) immediately stated that she couldn't control people calling out. I agreed but what she could control was letting people know that they were short staffed, inform of the delay, then provide the option of rescheduling. My head was hurting from my eyes being dilated and the amount of time that I was going to have to make up at work. I was glad when I was able to pay my bill and leave. I don't know what to say about turning this around except that I truly enjoyed my visit on yesterday with Mrs. Tony who helped me pick out my frames!

I ordered contact lenses that arrived quicker than any other place previously ordered. I enjoyed my walk in visit to the eye doctor and definitely recommend them. I'm sorry for the other reviewers' experience but maybe things have changed.
