I came here to get some filling for some new pillowcases I bought. They had a selection of pillow fillings, from harder ones to softer ones, and the guy was helpful enough to give me the small quantity I needed and at a reasonable price. It's nothing fancy inside or outside in any stretch of the imagination, but has bed fillings and mattress fillings as well and well gets the job done which is what you want form a shop like this. Plus if you are ever going to as adventurous as my flatmate to make a giant beanie then this is the place to get the filling. read more

What can I say - this place is called the foam centre. It does foam. And seat recushioning. I'm not going to be able to make this review cool. Honestly, I came here because the sofa in my flat had collapsed and we were trying to make some bodged repairs. The foam centre is the place to do this - its kind of what it specialises in, along with things like matresses and lots and lots of those tiny little polestyrene balls that get everywhere for bean bags. I dont know what else to say. It wasnt expensive (at least, i dont think so - i really have no other referance) and it was pretty quick (again, no reference). Service was good as well. read more

I was so curious about this place, was peoples desire for foamy products enough to constitute a Centre? The place was mobbed. I saw 2 women debating in the corner wither to buy the cream or the white foam, for the INSIDE of the mattress. The man at the counter was a foam god, answering every silly question I had. I wonder how comfy his bed is... I don't know if there is a genuine market for a place like this, but they seem to be doing well. read more

This man who owns this shop must be doing very well for himself as he is not in need of any business it would seem. I just drove all the way to Newington from Portobello to get some foam cut (bit of an emergency, bought the wrong size for a headboard I was making and needed a bigger size). Got there at 2pm (closes at 4.30) and he was busy on his phone. When he at last looked up, I placed my order. He informed me that it would be £52 for a kingsize headboard piece of foam (very expensive compared to the £32 I had paid for a double bed sized, complete with the adhesive, delivered free to my door from www.efoam.co.uk). I agreed as I need the foam straight away, but he informed me that it would not be possible for him to provide me with said foam at the moment as he had to go and pick his wife up from North Berwick as she had broken down there. He had the foam in the back and could cut it in 15 minutes, but said he wasn't willing to as he had to go and attend to his 'family emergency'. He was really rather rude, looking at his phone, and speaking quite aggressively, I was rather shocked. I would have paid him £52 for 15 minutes work, but he wasn't interested! I left the shop confused and determined to buy my product once again from efoam - I can highly recommend their efficient service to you all. read more

The prices are absolutely ridiculous, it does feel very strange as there seem to be no rate basis for the foam. All the foam i have bought in other foam centre, if checked for the same order with them the rate is inflated to double minimum sometimes triple, and mine is delivered to my door for less! very bad one indeed, just plan for time & call or go to Glasgow instead!! read more
