It picked us up right at the hotel and took us to the airport in less than an hour, including stops for other passengers. Because of a senior discount, the cost was only 159 NOK, which is about $16 a person. The discount was 50%, so the regular adult price would be $32 USD per person. According to an online search, the rideshare cost, such as Uber would b cost between NOK 720 and NOK 1400, which is $72USD to $144USD, so even with two people, there would be a significant savings using Flybussen. One tip: Be sure to be at the curb when they arrive because they will not check inside the hotel and if no one is waiting, they take off immediately.

I didn't do much exploring, as I went straight to/from my buses. I took the bus to Oslo Airport, which costed 180kr/adult, and was packed. You can buy your ticket at a machine inside the building, right by the door to the bus. You can also get it on the bus, but that is much more inconvenient and causes back up. The bus was spacious, clean, and fairly modern with air conditioning. If back in Oslo, I would take this bus again.

The station is five minutes walk from Oslo Central Station as well as the rapid transit station Jernbanetorget and the tram and city bus services at ground on Jernbanetorget. On the east side of the station is a tram station named Bussterminalen Grønland that allows the quickest transfers to the Ekeberg Line. I think they need to get a better bus system. It is way too overcrowded (heaven for pick pocketers), there is no air condition and most of the drivers are inconsiderate. They drive too fast not thinking of people standing up with nowhere to hold on to. I would rather walk.

On the plus side, we were within a 15 minute walk to the nearest train stop that took us directly down town. After navigating a terrifying slip and slide walk down a massive icy hill in the middle of a small blizzard, we had just a few minutes wait until the next train came. We bought our train tickets at the hotel, so that was convenient. And apparently using the tickets was on the honor system! We figured out that once you get on the train, there is a scanner that you flash your ticket with. But I didn't see a single person do it except a few stupid tourists like us. Kudos for making it fairly easy to navigate the system.
