The colorful lights at the entrance caught my son's attention, and he really wanted to check it out, so we went in. The mini 3D maze was fun, while the rest was more of a simple walk-through. Worth a quick stop if you're already at the pier.

We didn't see the farm area. One of my companions ordered a Chicago (hot) dog and seemed to like it.

I hosted a post work event here for around 15 people and rented the two picnic tables they have. For 2 hours, up to 20 golfers, and the reserved table space it was $360. It was a great way to bring in food and drinks to enjoy while golfing and gave people a place to hang out in between holes. Some holes were very on theme with the city and the other half were mostly a rock arch or two. Some holes had exciting interactive elements. Overall, a fun activity.

We went on Good Friday, lots of kids were off of school. We got the first time slot! Highly recommend this! The place is self guided and you can always go back to feel some more! If you think about germs and are easily grossed out, there's plenty of hand sanitizer around, or bring your own! But everyone is basically reaching in to feel the same slime you are. There's a small area the kids can take their shoes off and play in. Some squishes and slime they can go into (it's hard and doesn't stick to clothes!). They also have the "get slimed" station. I believe it's $30 and from the looks of it, it's just blue water. Didn't seem worth it to me. But my kids loved watching! The best part is being able to make your own slime! You can pick the consistency, smell and color! And as an added bonus you can pick out 3 charms! There's no food or drinks allowed in and they have a complimentary coat/bag check! Take a picture of your bag in case you drop your ticket! In addition, I find it hilarious that people are complaining about the price. Of course the place raises the price during peak hours. Now do I think $56 for a ticket is steep, yes! But plan ahead and always purchase tickets ahead of time! We paid $135 for 3 and were there almost 3 hours! We only left because we had lunch reservations!

Also make sure that you secure your belongings because my daughter's phone pop out of her pocket then hit the floor of the vehicle and then bounced out onto the ground Next we did the ax throw which we're only supposed to get 2,3 throws but the young lady let us continue until we hit the target because we were the only customers over there so she let us get multiple turns which was really cool Lastly was the Mini golf they don't give you a pencil or a piece of paper or to keep score is really freestyle freestyling and people are walking around the course and kinda in the way so don't think of it as a complete game from start to finish you might have to alter courses But I think my favorite part was the Instagram worthy props and photo ops located all around the property to take some really awesome shots group shots in my daughter and I really got some nice photos together

When buying tickets online, you have to select a time slot, but that feature is completely useless. You can arrive whenever on your ticketed date and stay as long as you'd like. The problem is that on busy nights you face extremely long lines for the attractions and the park is over crowded- especially during COVID! There was no capacity limit set, no one (staff especially) was wearing masks, even though we were outside, social distancing wasn't enforced, and the props (axe, golf clubs and balls, go kart machines) weren't cleaned after each guest. Every attraction we headed to there was a long line, at least a 30 minute wait-- go karts have the longest line. Overall, Neon Summer is a nice concept, but they need better time management and crowd control because it was not enjoyable to wait 30+ minutes in every line, including the bars. If I were to go back it would be on a weekday or in the afternoon. The park is open to kids and adults, and kids can do all of the activities except axe throwing. On the website it states closed toe shoes must be worn, but that wasn't enforced. Staff was friendly and easy to talk to.

It's the only one of the islands that was ever completed. Northerly Island was the site of the 1933 Century of Progress World's Fair, the second World Fair held in Chicago. Once upon a time, a single-runway airport called Meigs Field existed at this site for about 50 years, right in the middle of the city. It was the busiest singlet-runway airport in the city for a time. The air traffic control tower still exists here--an odd homage to what one was here--but the airport was destroyed overnight by the second Daley mayor and the park created shortly thereafter.
