Walked into the arcade. Cool vibe. I thought it was small but there are two other rooms with a ton of games. The place is dark with blacklights and cool murals of cartoon, anime and VG characters on the wall. There are specialty slushies you can get. There is alcohol. They have an old gamer staple: Bawls The cover charge is 15 dollars per hour which is awesome. You can definitely spend a whole day in there easily and not break the bank. I loved the variety of the cabinets. Theres traditional and modded cabinets with tons of oldschool games to play. Beat em ups, fighting, racing, hunting, DDR, rythm games, console games like gamecube in the front. They even have a sailormoon S beat em up. Im a hardcore sailor moon fan so it was appreciated. The bathrooms were clean. There is one big flaw with this place. Many of the games I played had buttons that would stick so I was unable to play them. Games in particular are the Spiderman beat-em-up in the second room, the DJ rythm game (not sure what its called. The one in japanese), the other rythm music game in the cornor of the second room, metal slug X, melty blood. The sailormoon game also. Oh and the L.A. shooting game with the guns doesnt have any rumble on them. The cabinets that have a ton of games in them are cool but the buttons arent mapped to each game. If you play a fighting game that has 6 buttons and theres a bunch of combination moves you can do with all those buttons but only 4 of those buttons are programmed to the game, you cant do the moves and theres no point in playing it. To get the full experience out of this arcade, I would suggest the owner go through each cabinet and set up every game to where the buttons can correctly do what they are supposed to do. There is no point having a million games if you cant play any of them because of broken buttons and mapping issues. It needs weekly maintenance. I understand that kids can be really rough with the buttons but if you dont fix the buttons then whats the point of having the games there if you cant play them? Its really easy to map the buttons. That would fix half of the problems. My fiancee said it best "its like playing cup and ball without the string. And you have to keep picking the ball up off of the ground. " Huge potential for this place. It could be 5 stars with maintennence. I see the vision. read more

So many games and so many rooms. The place is much bigger when you first walk in. We arrived and were instantly greeted with all the details with a friendly staff member. They have so many classic games and others we never heard of along with gaming console systems. There is food and drinks too and some vending toy machines. The location is a nondescript strip mall that could use some more signage. There is plenty of parking. They also have space for parties in the way back room. I had no idea this place existed (especially living in Margate!) until I was invited to a kid's birthday party there. When you first walk in it seems tiny, but there's a whole other couple of rooms at the end of the hall. One of the rooms is a party room. The arcade is beautifully-decorated with neon paintings and blacklight for illumination. It has all of my favorite retro games plus a bar. I beat my cousin in a heated game of air hockey! Love this place HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I did my sons 10th Birthday party here and when I tell you EVERYONE had a great time and it's shocking because 9/10 kids parties are just that for the kids but they had something for EVERYONE. Everyone in there is very friendly and polite. There's games for all ages from new to old. There's even basketball shooting and air hockey table. Just phenomenal! One of the best arcades I've ever attended. Extremely underrated yet perfect. Price is insanely affordable for a whole day access to games. Has so many retro and hard to find arcade cabinets, one of my favorites being Beat Mania. Not only do they have arcade cabinets, but they also have gaming PCs and consoles such as Nintendo Switch, PS4, XBOX, etc. in the next room over. Pretty lively in the evening yet calmer in the daytime. They also have garage kits and host tables for tabletop games. Love this place so much. Owner and staff are super friendly. read more

We came in a few months ago and I was blown away! There were so many different types of arcade games AND console games AND air hockey AND it connected to a third room where people play card games. Very, very cool. We returned tonight to several out of order games. We just didn't feel like we were getting the same value that we found the first time. Also, if you're like me, you don't care much for fighting games or shooting games. So that rules out about 70% of their games. I really enjoyed the nostalgia (Centipede, Ms. Pac-Man, Donkey Kong) and the Stranger Things pinball machine. But that's not worth $10 to me. :/ read more

Stumbled across this place and what a nice treat! The place is in a plaza that is next door to a hardware store. Parking is not a problem in this plaza and we got lucky and parked right in front. immediately walking in, my son and I were greeted by Eddie and he was very friendly. Told us about the concept and pricing and we felt very comfortable and safe. looking around, i could see the hand sanitizers and gloves that we could use, which was a big plus. The pricing is $10 dollars for one hour or $15 dollars for all day! what?! you can bring your own food and they have drinks to offer. did i mention they have beer? Are you kidding me?! We opted for the hour play and let me tell you, it was the best time I've had out in a while since being quarantined. The games are both classic arcade games from the 80s and they also have about 5 or 6 modern game consoles that you can play like Nintendo Switch or XBox. They also have pin ball game and lots of driving games. It's my go-to arcade. The layout is descent, it's spacious and always hosts events and gaming competitions! Throwback to my youth. Video games to play and go for the high score or finish your opponent! You can find a lot of fighter games, shooter games an classics. Some of the machines are the originals so they may be glitchy. But the friendly staff will take are of you. They let you free play for $10 an hour. Great way to burn some time with the kids. They even host tournaments. Some classics I enjoyed were NBA Jam, Time Crisis, Smash TV Mortal Kombat 3, Area 51 and of course Galaga! Its a good place, entry is cheap ($10 an hour or $15 all-day), all machines are on free-play. You don't lose much from dropping by. If you're looking for some classic arcade play with a friend or two, felt like tackling a beat 'em up or a fighter, great place. Looking for shmups? The Pandora's Box has you covered. If going in solo/by yourself on the other hand, mileage may vary. If you are any one of the following however... You're looking for rail shooters or rhythm games (Like I was), prefer more modern/recent arcade titles or simply prefer the genuine cabinets. I would unfortunately have to tell you to go elsewhere. An arcade, a community, a second home. Those are only a few ways to describe Flynn's. Since opening I have been here about 7 or so times, would be even more if I wasn't a distance away! Every night that I've stopped in was a mini trip back to my childhood, surrounded by games new and nostalgic alike and igniting my brain with that child like wonder once again. I've even found a new favorite, Power Stone, which I get particularly competitive with. The snack and drink selection is ever expanding and cannot be beat price wise. From what I've seen everything on their menu costs less than $5 and keeps you fueled for gaming. Eddie even found Surge!! One of my all time favorite sodas!! They recently added some ramen soups to the snack lineup too which is pretty awesome. Little details like this are what makes Flynn's more than an arcade. Near the back of the arcade is an awesome selection of consoles old and new and they're always accepting game donations to keep the fun going. They even host tournaments back here, the place will be PACKED on a Smash night! Catch me at the Tekken tournaments though, those are my favorite nights haha. To top it all off, they keep everything nice, tidy and sanitized so there's no worries at all when it comes to safety. Machines are well maintained and refurbished as needed, and any problem with a console or cabinet is fixed almost immediately. To conclude, it's safe to say I love Flynn's and I'm super happy to have an arcade that feels like a second home.
