This experience by far was the most terrible experience ever!! 3 hours on a line is simply unacceptable!!!!! I really don't know what can be done to make this more of a hassle free experience but you'll all have to do something!!!!!!! I am like a prisoner where I count the years that I can be free of this establishment. No one, absolutely no one enjoys coming here. I am obligated to purchase my school uniforms from this company and it gets worse every time. Last year was the worst experience but this year was a slightly better experience which made it the second worst experience. Last year, I left my school uniform vests behind the counter so I had to come back and get it. When I examined the vest, the embroidery was so high up it was practically on the shoulder. Unfortunately, we discovered this when we got home. We returned to the store (2nd trip) and they didn't have any more vests so we had to order them online. When they finally arrived, there was no school name embroidery. So we had to go back again (3rd trip), each time making that damn line. In addition to this, there were items that were backordered in August and long story short, they arrived in OCTOBER. This year I had the same backordered experience. They had no more skirts in my daughter's size. I kinda flipped out and emailed all the emails I had and said I need at least one skirt to start the school year. Tara from customer service actually helped me out but imagine if I just accepted my fate. Every year I start the uniform shopping the first weekend in August and it is still not enough time for the backorders to come through. This is ridiculous and unacceptable. This is how companies treat customers when they know their options are limited. Additional Notes: Remember: "order" numbers are different from "backorder" numbers. Quality of product went downhill. So far downhill it is touching the gates of hell. We are talking threads galore and the quality of material feels cheap and get thinner every year. They will never have everything you need at the store. Flynn O'Hara are on the news trying to tell people to come in June! Kids won't be the same size by September. I like that they employ high school aged students. Everyone that I have come across in the store has always been respectful and professional and I like that they are providing employment opportunities for the youth. Still don't have a solid strategy or better system on how to handle the rush of customers. Why do they act like either they don't care (because they know we HAVE to come here) or act surprised when they see long lines. Every year we have come to expect to wait on a hours long line outside in all kinds of weather. Every year customer service is nonexistent. I tried to call the number and it just rings. No one ever picks up. Mister Softee is parked right outside to keep you company with his overpriced ice cream too. Conclusion: Obligation shopping at Flynn O'Hara is an exhausting and frustrating ordeal that I have to endure each year. From persistent backorders and subpar product quality to the endless lines and indifferent customer service, it feels like they're taking advantage of the limited options parents have. Despite the efforts of store staff members, the overall experience is a giant ball of inefficiency, making me count down the days until I can finally be free of this experience. They desperately need a serious overhaul of their system because no one enjoys coming here. Lastly, a skirt should not be $50.00. read more

Store is very unorganized, most of the sizes you come in to buy they don't have it in store you have to order it .There are a lot of young inexperienced workers here . The wait time is very long so I would advise you come early so you don't have to stand in line and waist your time read more

Let's start off by saying i have no complaints on the quality of the uniforms. I have been wearing Flynn my whole life and i have mixed feelings about their prices. My complaint of this location is the line! I know we are in covid life still but i waited almost 5 hours for my daughter's uniform back in August and i got wrong sizes sent home. It took me 40 mins to check out my order. I then had to come back and wait another 2 hrs to return and exchange to the proper size. I must say though the employees at the job are well mannered and very helpful. They need a better wait time and it sucks that i cannot order my Bronx school uniforms to another Flynn's. I took my niece to get her school uniform last August. I've been meaning to write a review ever since! Absolutely everything about our experience was perfect. The long line moved impressively fast, the girl that helped us, Raquel, tended to us and only us through the entire long list. She was especially helpful and friendly. The store was organized and clean, the windows were sparkling clean and the security guard was engaging and polite. I've rarely walked away from a retail experience feeling so satisfied! My first time here as I'm new to the Catholic School world and have to say Cristian made the experience a breeze! He was so helpful and patient. My cousin and I went with our kids who will both be freshman in September, I have a boy she has a girl. Cristian helped us both and was so nice and accommodating, answering all our questions and laying out what we needed. We were at the end of selecting our items when the store began to close, he never rushed us or made us feel like we were an inconvenience. Really great service. Giving it a two instead of a one because the girls inside were helpful and pleasant . However , this deserves 1 star ALL ACROSS THE BOARD!! the waiting outside in the hot , burning sun along with hundreds of other people is ridiculous and definitely not covid safe friendly. No type of protocol for keeping people safe at all, in addition, the fact that I arrived at 10:30 am on a Friday and to walk in 4 hours later and then walk out in less than 30 mins is atrocious. I literally waited and took longer waiting outside than inside the store. They didn't come around proving any masks , no one came out to check in and advise they are moving as Fast as they can. In addition, barely anywhere to sit inside and didn't see any hand sanitizer. There's no reason why there's a Flynn Store in Manhattan designated for one school only. My daughter and I shopped at FlynnO'Hara's for her school uniform and Christian was our salesperson. Christian was extremely helpful, professional and an overall nice person. He went out of his way to get answers to any questions we had. Jocinda at the register was also very helpful and extremely pleasant. The only reason I didn't give the store 5 stars is because of the prices. $60 for a girls button down oxford shirt (with no logo) is ridiculous. read more

The first issue is the lack of accommodation. Their store hours are not reasonable. Knowing the high volume of customers you would think that this company would appreciate our time and the hours of operation would at least be later or earlier than what they currently are. My second issue is that you can only go to one location to get your items. For a company with more than one location, it would be reasonable to walk into any location, search your school and leave with the items you need. That's not the case. This whole system is ancient and needs to be modernized. read more

Flynn O'hara in the Bronx is the absolute worst uniform store I've ever been to in my entire life. I purchased the items at the store a few weeks before school started and was told that one of the items was not in stock and that I would be called when it was in stock. I never received the call and ended up going there the 1st day of school. I had to wait on a horrendously slow moving line. (2 1/2 hours) @ 9:45am Once inside instead of a warm greeting i received an attitude from an unhappy salesperson. Finally I get through the 2nd and 3rd line which was another hour to receive the item in error. The name on her item was also not what was requested nor was the size anything like the sample sweater given to her to try on. I called the office and at least it appears they're attempting to remedy this situation. read more

Incredibly inhumane treatment of people here. Half way through September, when all these poor kids should already be in school, there is a line of 300 people down three blocks. The demand for uniforms is ridiculously high, and the corrupt private schools will blame it on you for not wanting to get heatstroke in 90 degree weather on an 8 hour line. Good uniform quality, but I really dislike places that dont change their logistical practices in the face of customer feedback. The simple solution here would be to open more locations to prevent bottle necks in the Bronx location. For example, the Harlem branch only has Success and Promise Academy uniforms, so you are forced to drive to the Bronx. At this location now and this will be and easy 2 hour wait...add on top of it over-zealous parking cops outside waiting for the 2 hours to expire and hand out parking tickets. Horrible experience with this company, purchased pants for my son, he wore it to school, fell on the school track and stained it, tried to go back for an exchange they told me it was not wear and tear, so it wasn't exchangeable, so now am stuck with a pant that my child cannot wear for the rest of the school year, and these pants are expensive. As of this review they exchanged the pants for me. But the whole experience has left a bad taste in my mouth. read more

Phone calls unanswered for days only for me to travel there for a 2hr line & couldn't get in. On another day waited 1hr outside, one hr inside no AC to get to front of the line &they have no more uniforms in my sons size. They ship them&the shirts arrive without the logo! $20 for short sleeve $22 long sleeve $36 for a cardigan and it arrives wrong. Now I have travel all the way back and start over WTF! This company is sleeping in bed with the charter and private schools and monopolizing on the fact that those schools only offer their company as the place to buy compliance filed uniforms policies. read more

I've been going here for years and never had an issue. Timing is key though. The best time to go is early in the day and a month or two before the kids go back to school. If not, you'll be standing on long lines and could spend up to two hours or more just waiting. The parking is not the greatest in the area. read more

This store is IMPOSSIBLE to reach! I called several times trying to speak with someone to inquire about an item. When I finally reached someone in customer service she was RUDE and not helpful.
