Most of us couldn't afford to totally deck our houses out with the stuff, but for a high-end gift, it might hit the spot. The items on sale are far removed from merchandise sold in other gift shops, not a 'póg mo thón' plastic apron in sight. This makes it popular with those tourists who look for some expensive authenticity Irish to bring home with them, and who have a few euros to spare. It's a good place for a wedding present too, or a smaller gift if you can't cough up the big bucks. It's a slightly pretentious establishment (definitely the kind of place might refer to itself as an establishment, it's not a common shop, don't you know), which I suppose comes part and parcel with the business they attract. Inside is kind of airy, ethereal and peaceful - the perfect atmosphere in which to conduct some expensive Celtic purchasing.

Need a money box shaped like a dinosaur? Perhaps you've been searching high and low for an owl nightlight? Every house needs a disco ball lightbulb or two, right?! Ok so they have useful stuff too - napkins and candles and picture frames and rice cakes and wooden toys and wrapping paper and and and and... Enter at your peril. Your wallet will be lighter afterwards, but only because of the size of the haul you're likely to leave with. I doubt there is much in the shop that costs more than a fiver. Most items are at the 1-2 euro price point. DANGER.

Hailing from Kilkenny, the Folkster team are transforming Irish fashion one fabulous fedora at a time. Not your typical vintage shop, it's a miasma of the old, the new and the futuristic. The staff are always bang on, giving ace style advice and general chat. Fashionistas every one of them... they're inspiring rather than intimidating. Price wise, it ain't cheap but it's not staggeringly expensive. Your pockets may be lighter leaving but the spring in your sartorialist step will most certainly balance you out!

Bought a beautiful (large) labradorite for a very good price. Lesson learned - put in your checked bags! They almost confiscated at airport security out of carry-on because it could be thrown. I had to go back out of security, buy an expensive bag to hold my beautiful stone and then check it. Made it home no problem, but costly! It was worth it. Stop by this great store when you are next in Dublin! I'll be back -thank you!

Oil burners and essential oils are aplenty too. There are other traditional Asian products reminiscent of shops back in Singapore and Thailand. Oh and a great section on yoga mats and other props - all very reasonably priced! I bought myself a little mist diffuser after seeing it used in the store with a gorgeous lemongrass scent. The owner took the time to show me how to use and clean it, with some handy tips - great customer service :) Now don't mind me while I zen out in my lounge with a blend of lavender, bergamot and grapefruit aromatherapy...

They have some nice wooden boxes with Asian details, pretty tea tins, large decorative fans and paper lanterns. But they also have some random stuff, like a wide selection of picnic baskets replete with cups and plate! I think these are actually really cool and handy. Imagine if you got invited on a date and the guy or girl busted out one of these sets, a delicious picnic dinner and a bottle of wine. I showed him the existing hardware on my door & was asking about finishes & he was simply rude, talking down my other finishes instead of trying to help. I had to repeatedly ask basic questions about fittings to get an answer. When I asked what the return policy was in case I brought it home & the finish didn't match my other hardware, I was told I couldn't do that, even if I returned it that day. For pieces that are expensive, this seems ridiculous. But the rude service was what guaranteed I wouldn't be back.
