Poor service and mediocre work. The first time I tried to go here, I was told that the owner was out of the country so all orders had a turnaround time of over 2 weeks! I ended up going to the mall and having my bag done there. I was a little hesitant to go back and try the place out after reading the reviews, but its so close to my house and my job was a simple name on a backpack. I took my daughter's already monogrammed backpack in so they could match the font for my son's backpack. The woman assured me it would look the same. It did not! The name is slightly off center and the letters are much thinner than the sample I took in. It just looks awful. I will not be going back to flying threads! read more

I read the other reviews on here before I went in, but I have to admit I ended up impressed with the work that was done. I needed several mens' and womens' shirts embroidered with a company logo. First, I wish I had come in before scouring San Marcos and the Austin area for the right polo shirts to embroider. I thought it would be easier to get the shirts before I went in, but it was difficult finding the right sizes for everyone and also get the men and women similar colors of shirts. Flying Threads can order polos and they are REALLY affordable and nice quality too. Our employees preferred the polos obtained through Flying Threads compared to the polos I'd already purchased at Target from the Merona brand. Second, Dana was very professional and responsive. She knew I had a short timeline and she stayed in contact with me throughout the entire process. I had about 12 shirts embroidered and they all were done on time. There was a mix up with the color of part of the logo but, amazingly, Dana took accountability for this and fixed the problem right away. The best part was the final product- it looked so clean and professional! I wish I could embroider more clothing with my husband's company logo but that might be taking it too far ;) Bottom Line- 1. Definitely go to them for the polo shirts you want embroidered. Good quality, very affordable, and you can easily order more of the same shirt down the line. 2. I had 8 visors monogrammed here for our tennis team along with a tank for me. Jordan was very helpful and our order was ready within a week when it was promised. She assisted with choosing thread colors and showed us what the layout would look like on her desktop. The tank turned out great and although the monograms on the visors were smaller than I envisioned, they still look pretty good. read more

When I walked into the store it took the sales clerk who was talking about anything but embroidery with another lady several minutes to even acknowledge me. Then when she did and I stated that I wasn't there to pick something up only to get some price qoutes she went back to her conversation about cheerleading and ignored me. Then a guy walked in who was her husband I think but could have been the other ladies and they continued to talk ignoring me so I finally decided it wasn't worth it and walked out. It was totally RUDE!!!! I would not go back especially with as much as it costs to get this type work done, there are plenty of other places who WANT my business. read more

Today I went in for the second time, and for the second time I was turned away in a rude manner for no great reason. I went in to get a small monogram on a bag, not a big order. What I was requesting couldn't have taken more than 10 minutes on the machine. And the rude woman at the store said it would be more than two weeks, two weeks! I asked if there was anyway to get it done in a week since I am going to Colorado in a week and wanted to take the bag with me. She, very rudely, replied that they had some big orders and a small job was not a priority. She basically told me tough cookies, you and your 'small order' can go f-yourself. I went about two minutes away to EmbroidMe in the same shopping center and they happily took my order and were very nice and accommodating. They even said they could get it to me before the end of the week. SO, if you want surly, overpriced, rude non-service, go to Flying Threads.
