I had a hotel booked with Expedia and somehow fly fair travels got a hold of the reservation and charged me $400 more because they told me the hotel had to get another room, all of which was not true. What happened was the agent that I told to make sure that that don't cancel the room went ahead and canceled it anyway in the room was lost. It was there heartless scoundrel way of exhorting money from poor victims like me. They said that if I did not pay them right away the hotel reservation would be all together lost. I spoke with outside sources and they said unfortunately the agency did have the power to mess up the whole vacation. Absolute scam website and agency. Do not purchase! Booked a flight to Belize, got a very unprofessional email saying that they needed more money for return flight. Called the airline I was booked with United, and they said that my name was different and the destination was Buenos Aires. After keeping me on hold for hours the first day they finally responded the second day. They tried to convince me to fly from another airport and that maybe I entered information wrong... I did not. After much back and forth they finally agreed to cancel. The business location says NY but all numbers are international and go to India, plus half of them don't exist or you are unable to call back. You have 24 hours from booking to cancel, can only cancel by phone and they try to stonewall you on the phone. Run like the wind. read more

Fly Fair is a 3rd party vendor for southwest. They should have known Southwest policies. Not happy with my experience. I had a flight from Ontario to Oakland that was to arrive at 9:05. The last airport express to Petaluma was at 9:30. I received a notice from Southwest that my flight was delayed and would not arrive until 9:45. Missing my ride home making me spend the night in the airport. Fly Fair charged $509 for a one way flight back to Oakland. They said they would credit me back half the amount and I had to fight to get it in writing. I didn't know so I accepted it even though I was skeptical. When I got home I called Southwest and I should never have charged a cent because they delayed the flight. Watch out for this company as they will take advantage of you in a difficult situation and especially because you are a senior. Now, I am stuck with a large payment on a limited budget. Beware of fraud / scam I read about scams like this on the internet but never thought I would fall victim to one. However, I guess there's a first time for everything. I booked tickets to Central America through FlyFairTravels because the price was significantly cheaper than on Kayak or Google Flights. I was suspicious that it might be too good to be true, but the agency had good reviews on Google, so I decided to take a chance. Later, I revisited the reviews and noticed they all seemed similar, leading me to suspect they were written by AI, which fooled me. Here's what happened: I booked the tickets (flying with United) at a much lower price than on legitimate websites. The next day, I received a call from the FlyFairTravels stating that United didn't have basic economy tickets available for the departure flight and that I needed to upgrade to the main cabin at double the price. When I refused and asked for a refund, they informed me I would have to pay a penalty of about 80% of what I paid because United had already reserved my return flight tickets. I asked to speak with a supervisor and was transferred to Ernesto, who repeated the same thing. While waiting for Ernesto, I checked United's website and chatted with a United agent, who confirmed that the agency's claim was false and that plenty of economy seats were available on the flight I booked. After arguing with Ernesto, he admitted that United did have seats available, but I would still have to pay a few hundred dollars more because prices had supposedly risen overnight. I asked the United agent about this, and they said the prices had remained the same for the past few days. Ernesto's next excuse was that I couldn't get a refund or the tickets at the original price because United had already booked the return flight seats. However, the United agent told me that was also a lie, as they only book seats when they are available for all flight segments of the itinerary. After spending almost an hour on the phone with Ernesto and proving that all of his arguments are lie he still refused refund my money or book the tickets according to their published prices, even though they still had those prices published on their website for the days and itinerary I booked. Luckily as soon as I felt the situation is a scam I start recording our conversation on which I inform Ernesto as well as I kept transcript of my chat with United and the screenshot of original booking. I have informed Ernesto since we're not coming to any agreement I am planning to sue this travel agency for scam and false advertisement and hang the phone. 5 minutes later somehow my money magically became refundable and I received an email from the agency that my book is is canceled and my credit card will not be charged. Please be careful if you intend to book with this company. We thought we were speaking with the Airlines (Flyfair answers it's number with a greeting saying only "reservations" they provide no company name) and needed to rebook after our connecting flight was canceled. The rebooking agent Xavier found a replacement flight and told us Spirit would not refund for the cancelled flight and we paid nearly $1,000.00 for the new ticket. It was until Xavier emailed the confirmation number for the new flight that we realized this was not Spirit Airlines. We called Spirit Airlines directly and found out that Spirit had in fact applied the refund from the cancelled flight and they had received no funds from Flyfair. We then called Flyfair....repeatedly....6 different employees, first telling us the $997.00 for "taxes and fees." When I asked what product I was being taxed and fees on they hung up. Finally our refund request was "escalated" to Xavier who promised to process the refund on the condition that we erase our online review and cancel the fraud dispute filed with our bank. We did this and even sent the written notice from the bank showing the dispute was cancelled. This was 2 weeks ago, today we received an email saying the dispute is pending and we will receive our refund sometime after February 17. Suffice to say, acting in good faith get's you nowhere with Flyfair. Three months of effort, Flyfair's admission that the money should be refunded, countless hours on hold and being lied to by multiple employees, enough. Do business with this company at your own risk. You will need to fight like hell to get your money back when they commit fraud. As a retired State Prosecutor, I will do all I can to encourage the NY State Secretary of State to investigate this company operating out of, ostensibly, Islip NY. I recommend you Google the company address, Flyfair offices appear to be located in a low income government housing project. This company may be difficult to sue, and many folks may not have the ability to sue to recover their stolen money....but I for one will give it my best effort. read more

Every bad review about Fly Fair Travels is absolutely true!! They are a bait and switch travel vendor that will heartlessly scam you out of your money. I initiated a one-way flight to Tampa. As soon as I entered my payment details, the screen buffered for a few minutes and never finalized. I did not receive a confirmation message of any kind. I received an email a few minutes later stating that they were processing my flight but could not reach me by telephone to finalize my booking. I called and was told that there were no available seats on the flight that I requested and would therefore have to upgrade to another flight for an ADDITIONAL $85.50, or leave on another day out of a different airport for an additional $200!! I cursed her out and boldly called her and her agency scam artists. Additionally, I told her that I reserved a flight against my better judgment because my spidey senses were telling me they were not legitimate and she, instead of denying it, responded with "if you felt that we were scam artists, why did you book with us?" One star--only because there is nothing lower. This company totally unscrupulous. We, too, thought we were speaking to someone from American Airlines as they do not identify themselves when they answer the phone. We originally only had a question about seating but Oscar assured he would take care of everything. We told him our dates, the exact flights we wanted and even that we wanted confirmation numbers as soon as possible so that we can select seats. (His original plan was that he would send us our tickets about a month before the flights. ) We told him, repeatedly, we wanted confirmations asap. He promptly requested credit authorizations, which were processed through our banks almost immediately, and we were told we would have the confirmations in two to three days. After five days, I called Oscar and he told me that since the day before was a Sunday, they needed another day to get the confirmation numbers. While I was totally shocked at this lame excuse, there was nothing I could do but wait. The next day, still no confirmations. I called again and was told I would get a call back within the hour, everything was fine, yada, yada; no call back. Finally insisted I talk to someone and was connected to Grace, after indicating that this wasn't how they did business, grudgingly put me on hold and apparently talked with someone in ticketing and sent me an e-mail which looked legit indicating our flights and confirmation numbers! She immediately wanted me to acknowledge receipt of this e-mail which i did but only after confirming that I could see the flights on the AA website. While I was selecting new seats, I realized that there was a green button which said Pay and below, a status which said On Hold. These flights had NOT been ticketed but were on a 24-hour hold until they were paid for!! I had paid for them (I already had the bill from my bank!) and even the e-mail had a screen shot which looked like the flights were ticketed. I chatted with AA and for sure, these were just On Hold and would be canceled by midnight the next night. I e-mailed and called FlyFair multiple times to let them know and was constantly assured my money was safe, everything would be ok, these things took an hour or two to go through, blah, blah, blah. (I travel ALOT and almost always make my own reservations and knew full well these things don't take more than a few minutes to book! My 7 year old grandchildren could have handled this in a few minutes) but anyhow, after fruitless attempts, I decided to wait the 24 hours out. Sure enough, the flights were canceled at 2:47 a.m. Starting at 8:30 the next morning, I started calling FlyFair. NOTE: their 24/7 support line rang for three hours --literally. At 11:30 am, someone finally answered. I explained my flights had been canceled even though I had paid for them and I wanted a full refund. I was told I would definitely get a call back within the hour. After an hour with no response, I called and continued calling at least 10 more times--but once I told them the reason for my call, I was told either someone would absolutely call me back in one hour, Or I was put on hold and no one ever picked up--sometimes I waited 15 minutes, sometimes I let it ring for an hour. Nothing. I notified my bank, of course, and documented every phone call and who I spoke with. After a week in which I never heard from FlyFair, I filed a complaint with NYS Consumer Protection agency, which has an electronic form for you to fill out with all the details you can provide. This was on a Friday. On Monday, I had an e-mail from FlyFair saying my $$ had been refunded. Coincidentally (?) I also received an e-mail from the NYS Consumer Protection agent that they had forwarded my complaint to FlyFair and that SlyFair had been given 15 days to respond. Wow-- The next day, someone from SlyFair actually called me and after misstating that I had canceled the flights--I straightened her out in no uncertain terms--she wanted me to let them Consumer Protection know the case had been resolved. I told her that that absolutely would not happen until the Pending credit was actually credited to my account. Today the credit finally went through. read more

My 80 year old sister was transferred to this company by the local airport, and on January 5, 2024, they told her that her flights were booked. The flights that she was told she was booked on (both airlines) say her reservation was cancelled due to non payment. FlyFair certainly charged her credit card almost 400 dollars. When she calls them they try to assure her that everything is OK and she should just go to the airport. She has now told me about this. I am younger than her (70) and advised her to call trivago, get new tickets and I will try to get her money back. I am getting ready to have a very serious surgery, and she was going to come to take care of me when I get out of the hospital. These scammers should be ashamed of themselves! Scammed an 80 year old woman out of almost $400, continuing to tell her all is well. She is very upset, and all I can do for her is get new tickets. We are also reporting this to the credit card company and opening a fraudulent charge case against Flyfair. We wont know until tomorrow if she can even book the same flights or the same day.
