It was a pleasure dealing with them and I was genuinely excited to have them as a vendor. The early part of the day with them was great. They were lovely. However after the ceremony and photos were done, one of the drivers took it upon himself to drive recklessly with a bus full of people, not to mention my very young son. The bridal party described it as horrifying. He was hitting curbs and blowing through stop signs and swerving all over the road. We unfortunately went over time and owed the company more money which was completely fine. My husband and I went up to our room to quickly freshen up. Within 5 minutes the OWNER of the company demanded we come down and give them their money. It was a very poor experience and quite frankly should have made a bigger deal about it.

The crew was very professional, friendly, and helpful, and everything was well-organized and well-managed. The food was very good and it was plentiful. The bartender was exceptional - we were all served promptly and she even came around to our tables a few times to see if we wanted refills. The ship was not crowded so we had plenty of room to mingle and enjoy ourselves. The outdoor decks are small-ish but as the boat was fairly empty that was fine. All in all it was a great day and I would recommend this as an excellent option for enjoying one of Long Island's most spectacular areas. The Captain even made sure to come downstairs from the pilot house to thank us all for coming and say goodbye. :-) The only reason I'm not giving this a 5-star review is that the boat quite frankly needs a thorough, top to bottom scrubbing - all the surfaces were dirty/sticky and the floors were grimy (yes, I know it's a marine environment and dampness is part of being on a boat... but this was more than just the "sea air!"). A few hours with a power washer (and carpet steamer) would do wonders! The paint needs refreshing too - even if just the railings, which stood out the most as old/worn looking. Bottom line, I'd recommend it and I'd go again... but I'd love to see the Lauren Kristy gleam the way she could with a detailing and a bit of fresh paint!

I have trusted the owner and recommended him to everyone for everything. I booked him this past October for my 30th birthday out to the vineyards out east. Sparkling Pointe in particular where as I am a member. First of all the driver took the worst way possible and got us lost for over 45 minutes. He was concerned about "DOT"?!? On a Sunday afternoon. We were late for our reservation lost our table and had to sit outside. Also, the confirmation email I had gotten through the owner, whom at this point I considered a friend that had said it was booked for and extra hour than I had requested. I had just presumed he was doing that as a nice gesture for my loyalty for 15 years and it in fact being a monumental Birthday..! My mistake. When the driver asked and I had showed him the email with the extra hour he flipped out. And I guess he was texting back and forth with the owner and he was screaming at me through the privacy glass in front of my friends. And to add insult to injury the owner was then texting me basically accusing me of trying to get something over on someone. The radio didn't work the entire way out to the vineyard and the screaming at me through the glass created a wildly awkward situation my guests and I. I had always been an extremely loyal customer- always paying for extra hours and generously taking care of the drivers. The owner never reached out to me after the combative, rude text messages about the extra hour discrepancy and I didn't hear from him afterward. Not to check how the rest of the event went, nothing. Sad to say I would NOT, whatsoever recommend this company to anyone. My birthday was ruined and nobody gave a (bleep).. My feelings were definitely hurt having built a personal relationship with the owner and extremely disappointed in him. Don't use this company. Don't support this business. It's almost a year later and it still makes me feel bad. Not just because my party was ruined but because of the lack of respect, care and concern about me as a person. Bloody awful. The owner should be ashamed of himself for having treated me this way. The running joke of my birthday was referring to the driver as "Steve the driver" like the psycho role played in Taxi Driver.
