They handled our pickup from LGA to our Midtown hotel and later our return trip back to the airport, and both rides were flawless. This was truly 5-star service and one part of the trip I didn't have to worry about at all. The vehicles were clean and comfortable, communication was clear, and everything ran exactly on time. It was worth every penny compared to mass transit or other ride services. What really set them apart was their customer service. When we were dropped off at the airport, my son accidentally left his phone in the car. Umar went out of his way to drive all the way back around and personally return the phone to us--no hesitation, no attitude, just genuine care and professionalism. Car Service Tran-Star for a round trip to airport. All started well. On the return however that turned out not to be the case. Now they had it scheduled and they sent a text via phone message. I had direct contact with the driver who was to pick us up. I texted and sent pix. After landing, getting luggage and then out to pick up area it took some time, this also included the delay in flight time which they were aware of. There was direct contact here, so when we got there we were told verbally and by text that the driver had car trouble and had to go home. I get it. Things happen, particularly when the driver needs to address his vehicle. Here's the BUT- He did not call the company to explain his delay or delma, nor did he contact us. A 30 second or less communication could have alerted both Tran-Star and us that he was delayed or unable to take the fare and another would have been scheduled and then met us, to then tell them when he'd be available again. I called Tran-Star, not pleased and they sent another driver of who as it turned out was the same gentleman who had taken us. It was an added wait and an upset that I did not need. This said the weather had held and it was nice out and overall we did safely get driven home and I am grateful for the important things. I find it especially interesting, while you wait on hold, and you hear their speal promoting themselves as the best and most efficient to get you where you are going! They did give me a % discount, (that I did not ask for) I did however ask to be sure that the driver who came should get the fee and included tip accordingly. Unreliable. Do not use…read more Day before trip, got confirmation for a 33-person passenger bus for a 3 hour trip. The bus which showed up was a party bus, no seatbelts, only 4 forward facing seats. The company shrugged the shoulders and told us there was nothing they could do, and that it was an "upgrade". One motion-sick trip later, we called up, nothing was offered, but they swore that the return trip a few days later would be the 33-person passenger bus that we paid for. What came was a 24 person passenger bus. Luckily there were some people who could carpool with others, otherwise we would have run out of space. They refunded $100, and never apologized. Do not use.

When they started asking me for the details of what I needed it for, I mentioned it was for my wedding. This prompted an immediate transfer to their "weddings" department. At their "weddings" department, I had to start over and explain what I needed. They must not have realized that I had already received a full quote from their "non-weddings" department because they quoted me $1,900. When I asked them why it was going to cost an extra $800 for my wedding (same number of hours, same location), they said they offer a "premium" service for weddings. So naturally I asked what that entailed. Their answer? The drive wears a tuxedo. I asked if they could just let the drivers wear their normal outfit and save me $800 and they said no. They rudely followed this up with "If you're looking to save $800 maybe we're not the company for you". So they're not the company for me. Fine. They also shouldn't be the company for you. Who wants to pay $800 for their limo driver to wear a tuxedo? $800? Am I buying him or her a tuxedo? TL;DR? They are rude on the phone and seem to think that a wedding justifies a massive price increase with negligible benefit (you be the judge) for the same service. I think that's bad service.
