Ordered day before Valentine's day. First time with this florists. Went with fellow yelpers great reviews and gave it a try. The roses had dead spots, and some of the other follege was limp. Gave them 2 stars for delivering on time on a Sunday. Confused and disappointed with other reviews. Had a florists in Michigan that always delivered great flowers and wanted someone in Texas that I could go to. Flower mound will be my home for years to come, but don't know if I should give them my future business. Called from out of state to have a cheerful flower arrangement delivered to my daughter in the area. Wendy was very helpful and super sweet! I couldn't have felt like I was right there any more than I did! The flowers were fresh with buds and beautiful blooms. I asked for a ribbon with glitter (if they had that) and she added that too. I can't say enough about the outstanding customer service and corsage from this florist. We stopped elsewhere first and was met with an inpatient and terse "we are closing". We left very disappointed. We found our way to Flowers on the Mound and although they were loading up to deliver flowers to a wedding and closing early they took the time to make a wonderful corsage. And then I called Shari with an order for a modern bouquet, same day delivery across town. Not only was she super friendly and informative about what she had in stock - she was also able to give me a deal on the delivery charge since it was a good sized order. I worked at a florist a while back while I was in school and I feel confident that Shari not only knows her stuff, as she gave me some great ideas for the bouquet, and also has some great design skills. I've been here twice. The second time was today, the day before Valentine's day, and I walked in and handed them a vase and said almost verbatim "make me something nice, not too fancy, i don't have more details to offer." After a few simple questions like "how much do you want to spend" and "what colors do you like" they produced a gorgeous bouquet in about 15 minutes. Keep in mind that this is the day before Valentine's day so they had all hands on deck feverishly putting together arrangements for existing orders. Still, they were nice enough to make some time to do mine while I waited so that I wouldn't have to come back. The first time I came here I provided similarly unhelpful information and they came through with a beautiful arrangement. For someone who knows nothing about flowers, they have really saved me. I've only written a few reviews ever on Yelp and would only write one if the food (in most cases) or service are truly exceptional. I can't recommend this place enough. read more

Called very last minite to order some flowers for my grandmother's 85th birthday lunch. I came down with a stomach bug and wasnt able to celebrate with her. I called Flowers on the Mound and was pleasantly greated by a beautiful voice who asked a few questions and promised to have some flowers delivered to the lunch location within 45 minutes. My dad sent me a picture of my grandmother with the flowers and it made me cry. The flowers were almost as beautiful as my Gaga. I am so grateful Flower on the Mound was able to deliver such a gorgeous arrangement for me last minute. We found this shop just by driving by and met with Shari, the owner, only about a month and half before our wedding. She was able to sit down with us and help us decide exactly what we needed. She gave us great insight, suggesting other flowers and colors she thought would be better for what we wanted. The price was reasonable and the product was absolutely beautiful! I was blown away with how beautiful the flowers on our wedding day! It is a relatively new shop, although the owner has years of experience, but the level of service was outstanding. She stayed in contact with me and even had us come up to look at the flowers when they came in before she started making the arrangements. The store is closed on weekends, but she delivers. I received the most beautiful and fresh flowers I have ever received for my 25th wedding anniversary last Monday! They were unique and not the usual FTD copycat arrangement. Shari tried to deliver them and I was not home. When I got home, I returned her message and she got back in her car to deliver them five minutes later. I don't receive flowers that often and these are stunning. All the roses opened up completely and are so pretty. Will definitely use Flowers on the Mound when ordering future arrangements. read more

I ordered a floral head wreath for my daughter's baby shower a week in advance and was assured it would be ready at 9:00 the morning of the shower. The person I spoke with was very courteous and even said she would throw in a few extra roses to add some fullness to it. A friend arrived at the shop on the day of at 11:00 and the shop was closed. There was no one there other than another customer waiting to pick up some flowers. My friend waited 10 minutes and called me to inform me of the situation but had to go on to pick up a cake for the shower. In the meantime I tried calling them twice and had to leave a message both times. My friend went by the shop on her way from the bakery and the shop was open and they were working on my order which was supposed to be ready by 9:00 am. She had to wait in her car with the air conditioner running to keep the cake from melting. The floral piece was not worth what I paid for it and certainly not full. I tried calling today to speak with someone but no answer and you can't leave a message. I would have thought they would have at least offered a discount or called me to apologize. I will never do business with them again. read more
