As someone who lives in California, I have been a customer of Patti's, using their service to send flowers to my mom, for many years. Each year, the quality has been great and the delivery has been smooth. This year, however, was a gigantic slap in the face for all my years of patronage. For context, I ordered these flowers two days in advance. I paid $100 dollars + Tax and told them they had complete creative liberty. I did note that my mother liked orange and yellow colors. Today I received these flowers. Now how good flowers look is inherently subjective, so I wanted you, as a potential costumer, to see what $100 dollars gets you at Trader Joes--sorry, I meant Patti's. Though in my opinion they might as well be from Trader Joes. To me, these flowers looked terrible. Lazily organized and looking like they were excavated straight from a swamp the day before. Upon complaining, the designer did their best to make it look slightly better. Keyword: Slightly. There was no saving these flowers. I have attached a picture of what they looked like afterwards. Unfortunately, I had to accept them for what they were as I was ordering from out of state and literally had to ask an Uber driver to deliver them for me. But before you spend your hard earned money on flowers for a loved one, ask yourself: Would you pay $100 for what I received? Also if this is not convincing enough, I have done the liberty of attaching a flower arrangement I received from a different flower shop that I only paid $80 for. The arrangements are sub par (& 3 years ago were significantly better). It's as if they know it's a gift & the recipient won't complain (or tell the sender to stop using said company) so the flowers are the cheapest on hand, wilted, falling out of the container, and little to no effort was made to make it aesthetically pleasing. I'm sorry if this is someone's best effort, and don't want to hurt feelings, but flowers cost too much for it to be acceptable. Customer Service is 50/50 at best -- maybe someone nice, maybe the snarkiest person ever. read more

Don't even know where to start. Seems like a trend that when it comes to a special day which includes flowers, this particular florist buckles under the pressure. Product didn't match the website at all, even though we paid a premium price for the flowers. Delivery, wasnt made on the date agreed. Service... Boy where do I start. Stating that you are busy and hanging up the phone on people is probably the worst thing that can happen. If this review saves anyone to have to go through the headache I have received. Customer service: Lack of communication when changing delivery date, when calling them, they had a rude attitude and hung up on me. Product: the bouquet looks nothing like the photo on the website. It is much smaller and the quality of the flowers don't look as full or vibrant, practically withering. Didn't feel like I bought a "premium" bouquet of flowers. I can't imagine what a regular bouquet would look like. Not worth the extra money to deliver on the day of Mother's Day or the size upgrade. If I could give them zero stars, I would. I ordered flowers for my mom to be delivered on Mother's Day, 5/8/22, which included a $30 shipping to the order. Without any notification to me (call, email, or text), they delivered the day before 5/7/22 and left the order on the floor in the sun with no water in the vase. The flowers started to wither. I called the shop to let them know of the mistake, and they refused to make it right. They said that they weren't going to deliver it on the selected date because they were busy; this is not the customers problem. They allowed for a 5/8 selection on their website and could not honor it. They did not even attempt to communicate this at any time prior to the delivery. They could have reached out to let me know if the early delivery is alright, and if not, the order can be canceled; this would help manage expectation and allow for someone to receive the flowers. Not only did they ruin an experience for me and a gift to my mom, they were unwilling to resend new or refund. They told me to take my business somewhere else next time and hung up the phone on me. Seriously? They don't know how to run a business and instead of making up for their mistake, they tell the customer to essentially F off. On top of this, the flowers I had purchased looks very deceiving in the photos, as the actual flowers delivered looked very small in comparison. This business cons customers hardworking money on holidays such as these. I also noticed I received two invoice confirmation after my purchase. I didn't see the second invoice until today. First invoice was from Flowers by Patti. Second invoice was from 1-800-Flowers on behalf of Patti. Wow. This establishment is a joke. They are sending you flowers from 1-800-Flowers (fast food equivalent in the florist world when you are expecting a quality Mom and Pop shop). You will have better luck ordering directly from 1-800-flowers or your local grocery store. read more

Despite paying high prices-which i expected and had no problem with for Mother's Day- the end products I received were definitely not worth the prices even under the circumstances. And the shop ignored all my requests for flowers to include (and exclude). There are some great local flower shops in town, but I would definitely never order from this shop again. read more

I am stunned by the sheer absurdity of AVA's Flower shop! DO NOT spend your $ here, no one will ever get the flowers!!! They promise same day delivery! They promise they have your exact flowers in the shop right next to the Hospital where your friend has just gone thru the most major of surgeries, but that was at 8am when I first called. Then the series of URGENT TEXTS and emails start flooding my phone, so I call back (praying my friend is still alive) to find out why they couldn't deliver. They need a new address they say... what? a new address??? She's in the hospital. I call the hospital to make sure she's still in her room and alive and yes she is there. The nurse tells me just have them leave the flowers at the front desk near the main entrance.. so I call back to tell them. ok they say and a few hours go by. I check to see if they've sent me the 'delivered' email yet, but no they haven't so I call again. They say there's a problem with the delivery, they need a new address! ? OMG!!! so we go over the address again and I wait. It's now 2:42 and the flower shop that is "supposedly" next to the hospital and they say can't deliver because it's too far away! What? Is every thing they say a LIE?? Now try to cancel that order... no this order you cannot cancel ... who are these people? I call my bank and have cancelled that way by denying the charges. O I forgot to mention the $59- flowers really cost $89- what a bunch of malarkey!!! Never order from AVA's FLowers. BEWARE they are full on LIERS! read more

Patti's is my go-to when ordering flowers for my dear friend in Reno. Christmas, birthday, other celebrations: they never fail. The most important thing to do is to CALL THEM DIRECTLY when ordering. They can tell you exactly what they have that day, what looks good, etc., and work with your colours, celebration, and budget. If you order via the internet through one of the on-line floral delivery services, you get what you get and its not always exactly what it looked like on-line. I can't stress enough: CALL DIRECTLY. I called Monday afternoon, spoke to Kathy, who incidentally has helped me in the past. I told her, generally, what I was looking for. She suggested a potted flowering plant. They gave an exponential amount of "dazz" in their photos but I unexpectedly received a deceiving "bouquet" of flowers that looked nothing like their premium order. Save yourself some time and go to another professional who truly cares about their customers. THEY DID NOT even show empathy or concern for the DEAD roses and other flowers in the bouquet. After not receiving a confirmation for 2 days I called their "Customer Service" got a recordered answer that expected delivey date was January 2, 2023. That information should have given to me during the order process. I cancelled the order. They have some policy about refunds that sounds like I may not get a refund. Buyer beware!!! I ordered my mom some flowers after her mom recently passed away. I picked out specific flowers that have sentimental meaning and was told they'd put them together in a custom bouquet and "make it nice." I was so disappointed to see what they ended up delivering: all the roses were in a chunk, there were only four tulips and some had the petals falling off, there was no baby's breath or similar filler, and the greenery was lopsided. The bouquet was flowers on one side and leaves on the other. When I called and spoke to the lady who took my order I was told "oh she just did it modern style" and "you should be happy with the value you got." They offered to come pick it up and redo it. Flowers looked nothing like the picture. Paid extra for bigger bouquet and got a set of flowers I could have gotten at Walmart for $10. Upon complaining, we were told that they are going to take the flowers back. They called me numerous times, pushing a level of harassment for these flowers back. I was at work and didn't have flowers in my possession and they said that they needed them back today. Said "since they got delivered to your job, we're coming to your job to pick them up." Had a great experience at this florist! Being an out of towner, you really rely on Yelp or word of mouth. I'm really happy we found this place. Basically, we came for a graduation and needed some flowers. The staff was very accommodating and even offered their last two fresh leis for us since it was for a graduation. They also helped us with a quick floral arrangement too. The price seemed on point for all the stuff they helped us with. I always feel hesitant to review businesses. Especially privately owned businesses but it feels like it's necessary with this location. I ordered flowers for my mom's birthday in June as a surprise. I ordered "Love you to the moon" arrangement with a balloon and card. It was delivered on time but when my mom sent me pictures I was confused the picture definitely did not match what I ordered. I called the store and told them I did not receive what I paid for. I paid 192 dollars... she said she did exactly what I asked for. Plus the balloon was of a clown (not very pretty or a good option. I was not able to choose the balloon). I can tell based off of the conversation that I was not going to get anywhere with her. I decided to dispute the transaction. I received a call today from the store and straight forward letting me know she will be disputing back the transaction. No apologies not easy to talk to or offering to resolve the issue. I will post pictures of what I asked for and what I received. I hope they can better their services as owning a business is hard these days. No harsh feelings but I personally will not be using their services. read more

When the flowers were delivered they were in a mason jar and although the yellow gerbera daisies were in the arrangement is was messy. I went by the shop the following day and their response was the vase in the picture is only 4 inches tall and it was mother natures fault the arrangement was the way it looked. I wasn't sure whether I wanted to write this or not but I feel like I owe it to my fiancé. My fiancé lives in the UK and he goes through a great amount of trouble and effort to call the flower shop to order flowers for me. Given the eight hour time difference, expensive international phone calls and the currency rate exchange which means he always pays double of whatever he's charged. He's always ordered my flowers from this shop and the last couple times of flowers have been absolutely breathtaking. But this last time when he ordered flowers for my birthday I was shocked because they were absolutely awful especially being that he told me he paid $30 for an upgrade. The flowers I received looked as though they were just thrown into the vase and half of the flowers were missing I didn't get the high-quality beautiful flowers that I normally get from this shop and normally the flowers from this shop last a good two weeks and within six days almost all the flowers in the arrangement were dead even the greenery. Considering he paid $30 more for it and I got way less then last year there was a cute happy birthday balloon attached to it I got five or six beautiful tissue paper roses three or four beautiful peonies, several stargazers and some really beautiful lush greenery. This year there was one rose and it was mostly stargazers that were dead or dying when it got delivered to me and as you can see from the picture the bouquet is almost all greenery there's hardly any flowers in it. That definitely wasn't worth $130. he was contacted by the flower shop the next day to ask how his satisfaction with the service. he wrote back to them and expressed his complete disappointment about what was received attaching pictures to the email and the response to him was that obviously the picture Was of the backside of a one-sided arrangement, which is completely untrue because I took the picture it was the front side that's just how awful the arrangement was .That was two days ago and he still has yet to hear from them again. I'm just so very disappointed because normally the flowers from this shop are breathtaking and this time like I said they were very disappointing and really awful. I'm sure that if they don't offer some sort of resolution that he will never buy flowers from them again and in all honesty if that's the case that's very poor customer service and I would agree with him not choosing to use them again. I'm just very sad and disappointed not only for me but for him in the effort that he puts in to do amazingly nice things for me. read more
