Where are the lillies in this side?
Loc V.

I was really hoping this place lived up to the reviews. Maybe bc it was VDay or maybe bc i ordered over the phone instead of in person. Whenever I get flowers, i expect the things: 1. Great, healthy looking, long-lasting flowers. 2. A beautiful, thoughtful arrangement. 3. The ability to interpret my rambling wishes. After all, I'm just concerned about the feelings these flowers convey. #1 is an expectation of any florist and it seems like many of the reviews here gives this place high remarks. I've only had the flowers a day so can't comment on how long they last. However, one of the very first comments my gf said when she saw these was that some of the roses looked like they were already wilting. Boo. Not what i wanted. #2 is usually what i pay a premium for. This was a $100 bouquet. I think that's a pretty penny and I've had some amazing arrangements for that. The bouquet I got was just lazy. All the lillies were shifted to one side. The roses were bunched in certain places. Just a huge letdown. That's usually what i get from the supermarket. #3 is what usually separates the great florists from the mediocre. I want to just trust them to convey what i can only hope to convey with amateur ramblings of what i want. I asked for about 6 roses, the pink kind, intermixed with lilies and other flowers. I just think a predominantly all roses bouquet is so boring, especially the red ones. Well, I got 14 red roses with a few lillies. Ugh. Anyways. Maybe it was bc it was VDay. But how they handle busy times separate the great 5 star businesses from the mediocre.

This is what I received

I decided to give a local place a try instead of online flower stores... I ordered a 'premium' (most expensive level) arrangement of a gorgeous boutique of flowers I saw on their website for Mother's Day. I made sure that I only ordered from a place that states a next day delivery, because of Mother's Day and I know flower shops are extremely busy. The website stated the next day delivery, but unfortunately, they could not deliver the flowers on Mother's Day. No worries, I agreed to a discount and a complimentary box of chocolates (which was very nice of them) and a following day delivery. I recieved the flowers the following day and the bouquet is a let down. I was aware of the flower substitutions if the flowers in the picture were not available. That is ok, if the replacement flowers were filling the bouquet to the same standard of 'premium' order. My bouquet was not even close to the gorgeous fullness as the picture. I was not worried about what flowers they used, but more to the look of the bouquet. I could have ordered the same bouquet from stop and shop for $30.00 instead of $90 that I spend. ($75.00 after my 20% refund). Not going to do business there again. The first photo I listed here is the original bouquet with price, the second photo is what I got.

She loved the roses.

Went by there yesterday to buy my girlfriend some roses. Was very helpful in selecting three fresh roses. Also showed me how to tell if a rose is fresh by pressing on the lower part and checking to see if it feels firm. You can tell Gene is very passionate about what he does and helpful. Also gave me a deal on the roses and told me that they are very expensive what they charge him. I appreciate it Gene, thank you.

What I ordered

A bit disappointed with what I got, not even within the same color scheme. I accepted them because it is a small business and I know it was probably busy for Mother's Day but the arrangement looks like something I could've put together myself with stop and shop flowers.

Gene was so friendly and easy to talk to. I explained what I wanted - white and blue. He gave some suggestions and explained everything clearly. We came up with a price I could do. I trusted him to make something beautiful and he did! I couldn't be more happy!

This is how the tulips arrived! SMH

Would love if the business actually updated the information. Needs to clarify online orders only. No walk-ins available.

I've added a star because of this. ------------------------------------------------------- DO NOT BUY FLOWERS FROM THIS FLORIST WEBSITE EVER. I ordered a deluxe bouquet (picture for reference) and spent $92 (including tax and delivery). When spending that much money on flowers, I expect the BMW of bouquets, or at least a 2021 Honda Accord, not the 1991 Saturn. 1. The website states a local delivery fee is $7.95 and I was charged $12 for delivery 2 minutes away in the same town. That's what local means, right? 2. The flowers are NOTHING like what I ordered. I could have made a better bouquet going to Shaw's or even my own front yard. 3. When I spoke with the owner she said she was so busy with doing flowers for a funeral that my bouquet didn't get all the flowers. I'm sorry you're business is "thriving" but as a paid customer, the same quality of flower is expected for the living as well. 4. The flowers in the bouquet are not even in the flowers I ordered online. There are clearly 6 different flower varieties and I only got 3. Again, see picture. 5. I was not contacted about any substitutions to the flowers. She said she should have called me. She said the flowers on the site are "California flowers." I'm sensing someone needs to update their website, huh? 6. After multiple attempts to work with the owner, she said she would make a new bouquet. She did, and it's very nice. HOWEVER she wants the other one BACK. Is she going to sell it to someone else? WHAT? She is refusing to drop off the flowers. So basically if you want backyard, heck even front yard flowers, go here

I would give zero stars if able. I understand the type of flower will change pending the season but…read morethe density of flowers and overall effort put into the arrangement was incredibly disappointing. Save your money. Do not order flowers from here because you will be disappointed.

Since I moved to Tucson, I don't have the opportunity to shop at the Garden Center or buy my firewood from them anymore, but I still enjoy the furniture I have from Little Brook Logging and Garden Center. Simply put, their handcrafted furniture is of such high quality, and the designs are so timeless I fully expect to hand down this furniture to my children (of which I currently have none). Here is a listing of furniture I got from Little Brook Logging and Garden Center: 1. Two Adirondack Chairs--These chairs are hands down the most comfortable patio furniture I've ever plopped down on. The colors are fun (I got a blue one and a green one), and the design (with shorter armrests that you can use to pull yourself out of the chair) is a masterpiece. The chairs are also rugged and survived being loaded in a shipping container and transported from Boston to Tucson. We often eat meals outside in our Adirondack chairs because they are so comfortable. I cannot recommend the chair more. 2. Picnic Table--The picnic table I got was the heaviest, most durable picnic table I've ever seen in my life. It easily seats six people and is made of wood so thick and durable, I bet two 300 lb men could dance on top of it and it would barely bend. In short, this is a picnic table built to last. It currently occupies a position of honor on our back patio, and our guests always rant and rave about how awesome it is. 3. Two Dressers--We got two matching dressers for our bedroom, which were expertly crafted, with incredible attention to detail. I'm not a wood worker myself, but I can recognize quality when I see it, and the dove-tailed construction and use of cedar planks for the bottom of the draws (to keep out moths) is brilliant. Again, our house guests usually exclaim, "Wow! Where did you get those?!" and we have to disappoint them because Little Brook Logging and Garden Center is in Saugus, MA, not Tucson, AZ. 4. Bench--We got a short bench, which I think is referred to by the experts at Little Brook as a "Five Board Bench," and it is just as sturdy as the picnic table, while also being expertly finished to maintain and display the classic wood grain. It's simple, and it's great. As a final note, the level of expertise and customer service is top notch. Richard Maltais is a wood connoisseur, and can speak at length about the different types and uses and find the perfect wood product to meet your needs. I only wish they would open up a branch in Tucson!

The very kind and empathetic floral designer (I've forgotten his name) helped me confirm a floral planter was the perfect choice. Phone engagement was quick but all questions were answered completely and patiently. The designer was spot-on when he told me the plants they had were good sized and healthy. I thought I wanted a 12" planter but they had 10" or 14". He suggested that the 10" planter would be fine, which I appreciated. However, it was folk a few of us so I went with the 14".. I thought delivery fee was a bit higher than I've paid in the past, BUT they delivered the planters on the same day, exceeding my expectations! The planter is gorgeous and plants look super healthy for a lasting gift. Worth it! I'd say great value!

I specifically chose a local florist to support when choosing my bouquet to say farewell to a family friend, and to say I was disappointed at the quality is an understatement. Instead of just ignoring my complaint if she found it unfounded, Lori contacted me to retract the refund promised by Ben. My family was in mourning, and I'm 3,000 miles away, so we certainly didn't take a picture of the bouquet to confirm what I'm being told. There is nothing more unseemly than debating the "value" received for a funeral bouquet. It only takes a moment to take a snapshot of the arrangement sent, if one is not going to stand behind the quality of their creations delivered, and argue over a refund of any type. Neither of us wants to have a bad experience, so I'm chalking this up to Judge Judy's advice - I won't be using Affairs To Remember services again.
