Located just a stone's throw from the plush Lunns jewellers I assume they're hoping to capitalise on any brides/grooms or wedding planners that may be passing. Inside the rather stark white interior there are several rather impressive flower displays and a couple of well stocked gift cabinets. Being in on a Saturday afternoon the shop was already quite busy and the staff were kept on their toes with plenty of requests for help and advice. Pros: Elegant shop, attentive staff. The girl working in here immediately seen to us and asked what we were after. We pointed to the beautiful bouquet's placed in bags/boxes and asked about prices. They started at £20 and went up as far as £40. We decided to go for £30 and she asked if we wanted her to make it up there and then-which we did! I must say, watching her work was really mesmerising and she mad it look so easy! The flowers were like a representation of Autumn! They were orange, red, deep purple and rust coloured. Now i'll not pretend to know anything about flowers, but when im buying some for whatever reason I want them to be fresh, colourful, smelling good and well presented. Set up and run by Tim Kirkpatrick some ten years ago, Floral Earth has become a must-use service from one off purchases to weddings and funerals. Tim is very ably assisted by his team, including the redoubtable Neil (his dad) and together they make the world of cut flowers a better place. My sister-in-law once ordered flowers online for me (she lives in NewcastleUpon Tyne) and I knew they were from Foral Earth the second I clpped eyes on them. I swear, they are to flowers what Jo Malone is to scents. Euroflowers is a little bit of a misnomer as the only flowers they sell are artificial. Not a real…read morebloom in sight. Perhaps they started off selling flowers. Every time I go into Euro Flowers, they seem to have diversified into another range of goods. What stays as a permanent range is the garden furniture, plant pots, shrubs and compost. I prefer not to get my hands dirty and tend to buy ready potted shrubs for the garden and have always been pleased with my purchases, particularly the 2 olive trees which sit prettily at my front door. Except when it's windy when they could be anywhere in the street. The garden furniture is fabulous - really sturdy good quality wood at prices which aren't bargain basement but which are good for the quality. There is often a display set going cheap if you're looking for a bargain and the end of the summer is good for clearance lines. This is also the place for you if you're going to splash out on a jungle gym for the kids. Inside the shop you'll find a slightly bizarre selection of stuff for the home from furniture to small toys and gardening gloves and tools. A little bit strange but worth a browse and prices are low.

They do wreaths and bouquets for all occasions and cater for weddings and funerals. It's a small little shop and the owner/manager is very helpful and can make up bouquets to suit any budget. They even do small bunches of flowers from as little as £2.99! Apologising to your significant other for the price of a pint - now that's a bargain! They have a delivery service available as well, which you can order and pay for over the phone with a credit card. How handy is that? Just as well really because the shop closes at around 5p.m., so you'd be hard pushed to pick a bunch of flowers up on your way home from work unless you were finished before 5p.m., with enough time to make a quick stop off here.
