Jason G. was recommended by a friend and my acupuncturist, and I had an amazing experience with him -- tremendously helpful, highly empathic and a skilled facilitator for body healing. He used a mix of techniques that were spot on for both pain relief and de-stressing. The space is very Zen, clean and pleasant. Wow! Hands down the best massage I've ever had. Josiah is a true magician. I told him my problem areas and he listened and incorporated focus work into my massage. I didn't realize how sore, stiff, and uncomfortable I was prior, but as I left Flow, I felt drunk with relaxation and tension reduction. He includes stretching, which I've never had from a therapist, but was a nice touch. They also utilize aromatherapy of your choice. The room was cozy, quiet despite being next to a busy street, and very zen thanks to the lighting, decor, and music. It was truly an other worldly experience. I've been looking for a new therapist for years since the one I loved moved and I have certainly found him! Can't say enough good things about my experience. He is very attentive and intuitive with his massage balancing between your problem areas and making sure you feel good all over. I may have almost fallen asleep on his table more than once. I experienced my first visit, and my first ever Thai Massage, the other day. Very friendly communication both when scheduling, and when I actually came for my massage. The massage was amazing! I loved the combination of compressions and stretching, and my. massage therapist was clearly very skilled at what he was doing. It was also a very calm, relaxing environment and I was able to unwind while also having my muscles worked on. Their entire facility seemed very clean (even more important during this age of Covid). I have driven by Flow many times but I am so glad I actually went in today. Jason was incredible and restored the motion in my back which had become stiff and uncomfortable due to a bulging disk. The massage was just okay. Customer service from the ladies was good as they were nice and warm. I felt the same for Mike, who apparently is the owner or upper management, but as soon as they received my money, the experience changed. I've emailed and called the location on four separate occasions over a few weeks and Mike refuses to get back to me. I even had an employee hand him a handwritten message explaining the urgency of the call but they neglected to reply. I've submitted claims to my insurance company for reimbursement for all other massage parlors for this year except Flow Body Works because Mike will not get back to me with the details needed for my submission. Also, their POS systems reject HSA cards. This is the first spa all year to not accept my HSA card. They got my business because they were one of the few open during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend but they won't get another penny unless Mike calls me back before the close of this benefits year with a reasonable explanation for why customer service sucks so bad after you've paid for their service. At that point, I would consider raising the star rating. read more

To remove any confusion about Thai massage, here's a little bit of history: the art of Thai massage comes from Thailand's Buddhist monasteries, where it was practiced to relieve the aches and pains brought on by hours of meditation. The center of Thai massage training is located inside Wat Pho, the oldest monastery in Bangkok. Thai massage is a series of stretches and range of motion techniques modeled on yoga practice. Traditional practitioners make extensive use of accupressure. You will typically be fully-clothed, so wear something comfortable (like gym clothes). Because of this, Thai massage (at a reputable place like FLOW) is often the perfect massage therapy for people who don't like the idea of being semi-naked around strangers! I made an appointment for a 90-minute Ancient Thai massage. Having experienced Thai massage on a recent trip to Thailand, I was looking forward to the thorough stretching my aching joints would get-- however, I was not looking forward to the sometimes-brutal pressure applied by some of the more vigorous Thai masseurs/masseuses. Fortunately, Kristen, the co-owner (with partner Michael), informed me that her style Thai massage is more focused on gentle stretching and not the more intense kneading and pressure that you are likely to find in Thailand. She told me that Michael has a slightly different technique that he learned studying in Chiang Mai, Thailand-- I'm looking forward to my next appointment to see the difference. I left feeling relaxed and stretched out, and for what it's worth, my aching knee is no longer aching! read more

I've had numerous massages from Michael with FLOW Massage. He's excellent! He pays attention to everything I tell him is bothering me and he makes sure to pay extra attention to my trouble areas. I'm an athlete, so working on me is no piece of cake, but Michael is one of the few therapists I've found who keeps me coming back because his massages are consistently great! Kristen has given me almost as many massages as Michael. One of the best massages I've had in a long time. Michael is completely into what he's doing, i.e. healing your body, and you can tell! Instead of quitting early, like most masseuses, he actually went long. While I wouldn't expect that every time, it was nice to know he was more into massage because he enjoys it, not because he needs a job to make money. I got a regular table massage from him, not a Thai massage, and it was wonderful. I had worked out 6 days in a row pretty hard, and my body felt broken. The day after seeing Michael, I felt fixed and much, much better. Prices were reasonable. The facility is also nice. I did hear a train go by a few times during my massage, but I, too, got into the massage and was able to tune it out pretty easily. Highly recommend a massage with Michael!
