I went in today and this was the best vet office I have ever experienced in my 25 years of going to…read moresuch places for my dogs. The staff were all so sweet and kind, and my dog didn't severely shake with nervousness the entire time like she had other other vet offices in the past. If you're looking for a holistic vet this is for you. There are crystals around and subtle healing singing bowl music playing softly in the background. They offered my dog ozone therapy which I agreed to ($67) and seems to be doing better. What an awesome option! She also prescribed antibiotics for the dog's UTI as well as some herbal supplements for her health. I appreciate the holistic approach to healing. I read other reviews complaining about having to wait to get an appt (dr was away for summer vacay) or to be seen. Who doesn't have to wait when going to any dr? So did I, but that's not enough to detract a star from my review. I recommend!

Dr K is amazing, Dr love cared for my mothers giant rabbits for ages and looong ago we brought my…read morechildhood pets to this office before the previous vet retired. I see a lot of reviews calling this place dumpy, I disagree. In fact it's a very cool little building in a lush little lot. Interior may be dated but I think it's actually very cool that it maintains its original vintage look. I suspect lots of these negative reviewers are either very stuck up or think 'new means better.' Whose to say except that it has never smelled badly in the +/- 25 years I've been a client and I have always received caring and complete care here. I currently take my 16 year old ABD here for pain management (no surprise a big dog like her has joints like rusty hinges at this age) and not only did Dr K take time to listen to ALL of my concerns after a decade of not seeing my pet, he changed her prescription to two new pills that work twice as well as my previous medication for half the cost! Price was less than I paid at that excuse of an office they call Banfield and the care was so much more considerate and complete. In short, a good vet is hard to find and my experience has been wonderful so I would recommend anybody looking for a dedicated vet who will remember their pets to give them a chance! P.S. Dr K works with local rescues and does a lot to save the lives of neglected and abused rescue animals, I find it very hard to believe the picture some of these negative reviewers paint of his character. He has always been very warm, kind, and even a little funny for all my visits!

After we dropped off our dog off at 9am to do a surgery that was already done and had to be redone,…read morethey didn't actually do it until almost 4:00. The doctor seemed nice but made it seem like the surgery wasn't necessary--but why did he do it then if it wasn't? He should've called and said he felt it wasn't necessary. I would never force a doctor to do an unnerve surgery. Then they bring the dog out (it's now 5:00) and he's completely drugged up and unable to properly walk. We used this vet because he did the original surgery before we adopted our dog. But our vet always does surgeries in the morning to monitor them all day so when they go home they capable of walking and safe. We also found out they didn't give him any pain meds or anything to help keep him calm post surgery from the emergency vet we had to bring him to after his cone came off in the middle of the night since they didn't secure it properly and he rubbed his eye. Very disappointed. I would not recommend this place and I regret bringing him back to do the surgery. ETA: the cherry came back! I read the surgery has a 92% success rate. This vet did the surgery TWICE and FAILED. Do not go to this vet. You will regret it.

Dr. Salvo is hands-down the best veterinarian we've ever had…read more We drive a long distance--past plenty of other vets--because we only trust her with our 8-year-old boxer, Maya. Finding Dr. Salvo was a turning point for us--and we actually have our daughter to thank. She discovered Dr. Salvo first and now brings her own dog, Luna (a beautiful brindle mix), for care as well. This is a family-level endorsement. Unlike other clinics where you feel rushed or pressured, Dr. Salvo schedules ample time for each visit and only sees one dog at a time. It makes a huge difference. She gives you her full attention, answers every question, and never makes you feel like just another appointment on the calendar. When other vets tried to shame us for not doing knee surgery on our girl, Dr. Salvo did the opposite. She walked us through all the options with empathy and clarity. We had already tried a brace--before we ever saw Dr. Salvo for the first time--and while it helped a lot, Maya still couldn't sit properly. Eventually, we invested in the Hero brace (the one Dr. Salvo originally recommended), and it made all the difference. We 100% recommend it. Along with the new brace, the targeted exercises and medication she prescribed really worked. Maya is finally sitting and moving with much more comfort and confidence. Dr. Salvo also trusts us to do our own injections at home, which saves time and stress--especially since I already do injections myself. That level of respect and partnership is rare. Her clinic is clean, calm, and has a cozy waiting room, though we usually just relax outside before the visit. Whether it's your first dog or your lifelong companion, you'll feel the difference immediately. Dr. Salvo, thank you for your compassion, your wisdom, and the heart you bring to your work. You've made such a difference in our lives--and in Maya's. We're so grateful for you and lucky to have you as part of this community.

Alma Vet Connection has completely changed the way I view veterinary care…read more My dog Mia is extremely timid and anxious, especially when separated from me. There was a moment I was suffering in my own body, gaining weight, exhausted, hormones all over the place, and the scariest part was that I had no idea why. Then I discovered that my minerals were depleted and my lifestyle was quietly draining my body dry, and once I gave my body what it had been starving for, everything changed. Now I help men and women over 35 who have been told their labs are normal but still live with daily pain, exhaustion, and brain fog, finally lose the weight, eliminate the pain, and feel strong and clear-headed again without spending years going from doctor to doctor with no real answers. What makes it stand out: Root cause clarity: Tools like HTMA, AO Scan, and functional labs map the body’s imbalances before a protocol is even built. Whole being care: It isn’t just about fixing symptoms, it’s about aligning body, mind, and spirit with the rhythms you were designed to live by. Personalized journeys: Every path looks different; protocols are shaped to the person (and even their pets), not the other way around. Sanctuary energy: It’s not a clinic, and not a spa—it’s a refuge. A place where you’re reminded that your body already knows how to heal when given the right environment.
