As someone who is on the Autism Spectrum, and have other learning difficulties, Jeff who instructed me during my driving lessons was soft spoken but firm when giving simple and straight forward instructions during each lesson, which helped me learn very quickly about what I needed to do to stay safe on the road. Kevin was also very kind and gave firm instruction during my driver test and overall, I felt the experience was satisfying and definitely helped me feel more confident on the road. They are both very professional, personable, and communicated with great fluidity. The website is straight forward and they provide other valuable services that are also available on there as well. I also have to note that if you do pay for the driving lessons, the driver's test comes as part of the plan, which does help if you are a bit tight on money. When I first came in to start my practice, I was a nervous wreck, but as time went by and I got to know Ms. Liz, I became more comfortable with driving including being around someone I do not know. She talked to me and got to know me while also teaching me new techniques that I did not even know of. When I went to go test after taking 3 lessons with Ms. Liz, I tested with Mr. Kevin. I was so very nervous, but once I talked to him and let him know of my concerns, he assured me that he was going to make it a smooth and easy ride. And he was correct! When I was testing, his instructions and expectations were very clear and helpful, including for someone like me who is very nervous a lot. Thanks to Ms. Liz and Mr. Kevin I passed my test! We took our oldest son here for the 6hrs of lessons and driving exam. Greg was the instructor during our son's lessons and our son immediately felt at ease with him. Greg was so friendly, encouraging, and professional! I worked with Kevin over the phone to book our appointments and after the lessons, he was the examiner for our sons final drive with this school. Kevin was great as well! He was incredibly friendly and very professional during our time there. While we do live in Orange City, this location was well worth the drive down I95, which we will definitely be doing again when our youngest comes of age in a couple of years! I wanted my daughter (she's a first time driver with a permit) to receive extra lessons from a driving school that would increase her confidence and knowledge for driving safely. Florida Safety Council was my choice. I heard great things about them from my community. My daughter took four behind the wheel lessons with Leslie. These lessons were two hours long. We took an extra class because Leslie and I agreed she needed more practice on certain maneuvers. My daughter took her driving test today with Florida Safety Council and passed! I enroll my daughter a package deal which is a 6 hours total of driving and it includes the driving test. I also had her do a practice driving test with Ernie before the actual road test with Kevin. The staff at Florida Safety Council are amazing, patience, knowledgeable and the best at what they do. Thank you Kevin for being an amazing driving test instructor. My son has been driving for a year and was ready for his road test. We decided to work with The Safety Council in Melbourne, FL, so he could take his final lesson with a professional immediately before his road test, to ensure his success. He took one two hour lesson with Greg and my son that he was, "mellow, patient and stayed calm the whole time, even when I made mistakes." He then took his road test with Kevin. I took my 15 year old son here when he first got his permit. I got the package and it was worth every penny! He took the first class when he got his permit and after he had a list of what to practice. We did the 2nd class a little later which was great because they took him on the highway. 3rd class we did before the test to make sure he knew it. I highly recommend them!
