Beautiful place where our fallen heroes can Rest In Peace. From the moment we arrived we were told to line up at the yellow line until our volunteer came to share with us the details of how our 20 minute service would go. Her name was Tina, and she greeted our Dad with great empathy and respect. His beloved wife had died two years prior due to the pandemic we couldn't have a service for her. Today was the day! Time escorted us to our assigned pavilion, where our brief but meaningful service took place. Thank you all for taking such good care of our loved one.

Headstones with flags for Memorial Day June 2023

This cemetery is dedicated to our heroes who have helped keep our country free. I attended a service for my husband's dear friend on June 1 - right after the Memorial Day weekend. Every headstone was decorated with an American flag. Wherever I looked the rows were straight and perfect - forming a "V" for veteran. Grounds are meticulously kept - as it should be for hallowed ground. Services are beautiful and touching. The honor guards were respectful in honoring the veterans being honored and laid to rest.

I was saving my 1500th review for something special and I found it here at the Florida National Cemetery when we interred my Dad last week. The grounds here are absolutely beautiful and the staff was amazingly helpful both before and during the memorial ceremony. To keep things organized they start you in your lane so all of the mourners can drive to the location of the ceremony in one group. The area where the ceremony is located is a nice size, but during COVID only the immediate family gets seating and everyone else spreads out around the outer edge. The location was perfectly accommodating. We had beautiful weather the day we were there and the VFW did a nice job with the service, as did the bagpiper. Dad would have loved the service.

Went today for the Memorial Day ceremony and it was awesome and emotional. I was very impressed with turnout and the variety of attendees. They encouraged everyone to visit a Veterans grave to pay respect to a Hero.

This Memorial Day, I wanted to do something other then a bbq or beach day, I wanted to really celebrate the lives of our military and share my patriotic spirit with the fallen. I didn't know what to expect when we arrived here but my breath was taken away by how vast and beautiful this cemetery is. The entrance lined with big American Flags was so glorious! Every American should visit. You will feel an instant connection to every headstone. I am glad this place is so close to home. Thank you to all who have served.

MEMORIAL DAY 2015

We went back to Bushnell National Cemetery on Memorial Day weekend and were overwhelmed at how beautiful it looked seeing all the United States Flags on the gravesites. There are 129,000 interred at Bushnell so take a moment, and just imagine. I have attached pictures, but they do not do justice for the cemeteries beauty.

I regret having a need to visit the cemetery. It is a beautifully kept area. There is a convenient kiosk that prints your loved one's info. An organized letter and number system makes it easy to find the location. There are benches to allow reflection. Heavy hearts.

Very nice, well kept, peaceful place. I am glad my father is resting here.

Beautiful, Peaceful and Serene. I have been to many cemeteries and I have NEVER been to one like this one. The grounds are exceptional kept and the guards and staff are very polite. The hour and a half drive doesn't seem that far anymore.

My uncle is buried here with thousands of other heros. The grounds are beautiful and the services I have attended here were touching and very professional. I would expect nothing less than the beauty of this cemetery for the men and women who served in the armed forces in the defense of our country. Even if you have no friends or family here, it is a sight to see this, one of many national cemeteries full of heroes who have worked to preserve your freedom. On Veterans day, or Memorial day bring some flowers.

Today I was honored to visit his grave at the Florida National Cemetery, where we placed flowers and a cannoli with his name on it.

On a solemn note, three years ago (8/13/13) my grandfather passed away. Today I was honored to visit his grave at the Florida National Cemetery, where we placed flowers and a cannoli with his name on it. Miss you gramps!

Came to pay our respects to all of the service people before Veterans Day.

A huge and very well maintained national cemetery. It's the second to largest national cemetery.

I walked the cemetery and the preserve. I didn't inquire info or pricing of services.. A description of what I viewed while on the property is below along with several photos. The Heartwood Preserve is a medium size property and is essentially the same environment as Starkey Park. In fact, the most southwest corner of Starkey Park borders the Heartwood Preserve. The border fence can seen on the preserve trial which is probably a quarter mile long. I walked through the cemetery portion of the property viewing two graves. Small grave markers can be seen along the trail indicating gravesites. One grave not pictured was circled by pinecones with pineneedles a top. Each gravesite was directly beside the cemetery pathway (not paved) identical to many field like trials at Starkey where many fan shaped palm fronds are. The welcome center was staffed when I visited and a separate employee was tending to the grounds and politely waved and smiled. I learned a lot by walking the property on my own and will consider burial on these grounds.
