I had two follow up appointment with Dr. Khant for a review of my Echocardiogram. My last appointment to review it was for Thursday, October 5, 2023. On October 3, 2023 at 3'32 I received a voice message to call the office to again reschedule with Dr. Khant. I tried for 2 hours on 10/03/23 to get through on their only scheduling phone number of 813-684-6000 which is a joke. after wait for 2 hours I was hung up from Bay Area. When I called back after telling me for 1 hour I was #1 in the que it hung up after calling back again the same phone numer above said that " the message box was full and to call later. Toda, October 4th I called at 9;30 AM and I received Heather's extension who was away at her desk and to leave a message which I did. It's now 11:05 AM and still no reply from Heather?? Where can she be or is she their entire answering service? I am going to have to change Cardiologists, since this practice has gone down the tubes. My advice is to stay away from Bay Area Cardiology. I tried to go thru billing to have it resolved, yet they sent it to collection and now it's on my credit report. I asked them to produce the paperwork and of course they can't. Why ??? Because I never had it done. Needless to say , I will NEVER go back there and it's faster just to pay the money I DON'T owe to get it off my credit report. Terrible way to do business. I was there because I thought I might be having a problem with a prior surgery, that thankfully turned out to be nothing. There are two unique things about this office. The office staff from the receptionist to the doctor are all just really really nice cheerful people (Dr. Bailey, Erin, Jennifer, Kat). A friendly greeting on entering, and a wait time of only a few minutes of being seen. What other doctor's office have you ever gone to where you are offered Hershey's Kisses, Dove chocolate, and you are asked several times by different people if you would like a bottle or water or coffee while you wait. After my initial exam I had to wait for Kat, the ultrasound tech, to free up. Dr. Bailey personally asked again if I would like something to drink. I said a coffee would be nice, and a few minutes later Dr. Bailey personally brought me a freshly brewed coffee to enjoy while I waited. I know people won't choose a doctor based on office amenities. So I will add that Dr. Bailey is one of the finest, professional, compassionate, and caring physicians I have ever met. He really knows his specialty. I have had two surgical procedures performed by him as well as several follow ups, and am always impressed. I did have a different vascular surgeon in the past, and that experience led me to switch to Dr. Bailey. He was recommended to me by another wonderful physician, Dr. Uttamchandani, who I trust enough to have taken his recommendation without reservation.

This particular office is in a strip mall and parking is not a problem. I chose the office based on first available appointment. I would not hesitate to come here if I needed a cardiologist.

I have been a patient at BAC since 2001 and have always received five-star care. However, I…read morerecently had to obtain a pre-surgery clearance that required observation and testing at a hospital. That experience was less than stellar. BAC and hospital staff kept me informed and conducted the stress test efficiently. However, BAC staff did not return after the test to discuss the results as they said they would - a hospital nurse informed me that I was released and I left the hospital without a signed clearance. Obtaining the clearance took eight business days and numerous phone calls, including many voicemails and a couple of actual conversations with promised call backs that never occurred. Finally, I went to the office and spoke with a receptionist named Emily, who doggedly tracked down the clearance, got it loaded into the system, and printed it out for me. (Thank you Emily.) I don't think anything is more annoying to a customer than poor communication from support staff. A call or text letting me know that the issue was actively being worked would have been nice.

I did NOTHING wrong...I am happy to share what happened to me in reviews. I went to their clinic in Sun City Center...and that turned out to be a massive nightmare. I'm 65 right now and have never...NEVER met people as inept and rude as the staff that runs this place. It is almost funny it is so bad...but when you are on the receiving end of their nastiness...it is really ugly. Here is just ONE event I endured with these people. 1) My appointment with Dr. Lamielle was for 1 PM 2) I arrived at 12:45, checked-in, told to take a seat (usual stuff) 3) Soon, it is after 2PM so I walk up to the next open window to ask how much longer. 4) The girl says to me "Oh! You are really late!!" 5) I said no, I had been waiting since 12:45. 6) This office manager walks up and points out where I had indeed been checked in. 7) The girl said I missed my appointment but could come back in 6 weeks. (No, I am not kidding...they both told me that.) I was so angry, I just walked away but not before I asked how on earth could I have missed my appointment when I was there, on time and waiting. She told me the doctor did not have time to see me now, but I could come back in 6 weeks. UNBELIEVABLE!!!" To add to this lunacy, the doctor actually called me at home, a few days later, at 9PM at night (yep, that late at night) and told me he actually wasn't even in the clinic that day. So...ummmmm...wait a minute here! What the hell is going on? You lied? They lied? Why was I asked to even be there!?!?!? Hopefully, this clinic will shut down or, learn how to deal with patients in an appropriate manner instead of doing what they did to me. They are unprofessional, rude, and clearly incompetent.
