I was there because I thought I might be having a problem with a prior surgery, that thankfully turned out to be nothing. There are two unique things about this office. The office staff from the receptionist to the doctor are all just really really nice cheerful people (Dr. Bailey, Erin, Jennifer, Kat). A friendly greeting on entering, and a wait time of only a few minutes of being seen. What other doctor's office have you ever gone to where you are offered Hershey's Kisses, Dove chocolate, and you are asked several times by different people if you would like a bottle or water or coffee while you wait. After my initial exam I had to wait for Kat, the ultrasound tech, to free up. Dr. Bailey personally asked again if I would like something to drink. I said a coffee would be nice, and a few minutes later Dr. Bailey personally brought me a freshly brewed coffee to enjoy while I waited. I know people won't choose a doctor based on office amenities. So I will add that Dr. Bailey is one of the finest, professional, compassionate, and caring physicians I have ever met. He really knows his specialty. I have had two surgical procedures performed by him as well as several follow ups, and am always impressed. I did have a different vascular surgeon in the past, and that experience led me to switch to Dr. Bailey. He was recommended to me by another wonderful physician, Dr. Uttamchandani, who I trust enough to have taken his recommendation without reservation.

I have been a patient at BAC since 2001 and have always received five-star care. However, I…read morerecently had to obtain a pre-surgery clearance that required observation and testing at a hospital. That experience was less than stellar. BAC and hospital staff kept me informed and conducted the stress test efficiently. However, BAC staff did not return after the test to discuss the results as they said they would - a hospital nurse informed me that I was released and I left the hospital without a signed clearance. Obtaining the clearance took eight business days and numerous phone calls, including many voicemails and a couple of actual conversations with promised call backs that never occurred. Finally, I went to the office and spoke with a receptionist named Emily, who doggedly tracked down the clearance, got it loaded into the system, and printed it out for me. (Thank you Emily.) I don't think anything is more annoying to a customer than poor communication from support staff. A call or text letting me know that the issue was actively being worked would have been nice.

We arrived at approximately 9 p.m., and from the moment we pulled up in front of the ER, we felt welcomed and cared for. Tiffany, a pharmacy technician, greeted us with a wheelchair. She was kind, compassionate, and efficient as she helped my husband out of the car. While I parked our car, she stayed with my husband and assisted him with the check-in process and escorted us to his room. The triage and nursing staff were prompt, attentive, and genuinely empathetic. His nurse, Steven, explained every step of the process, which helped calm my husband's nerves and made him feel safe and comfortable in his care. Steven listened carefully to my husband's concerns and took the time to listen to me as well. Although the emergency room was busy, the entire staff worked seamlessly together to ensure my husband was comfortable and well cared for. Everyone treated us with kindness and professionalism, and we truly appreciated the teamwork and compassion shown throughout the visit. Even the discharge process was smooth and straightforward, with clear instructions provided to both my husband and me. We were incredibly fortunate to have such dedicated personnel such as Tiffany and Steven caring for us at St. Joseph's South. Their compassion and professionalism made a stressful situation much easier. I have ongoing concerns about communication and informed consent during my labor and delivery, particularly regarding Pitocin (oxytocin). My recollection is that I was told my IV was "just fluids," and I do not recall being informed that Pitocin was being administered. Since then, I have repeatedly requested a copy of the consent documentation the hospital says covered this medication, along with the hospital's Pitocin policy in effect at the time. As of this review, I have not received the signed consent form I requested or the policy. I have contacted the hospital and pursued the appropriate complaint channels, but I still have unanswered questions about the documentation and communication surrounding my care. This experience has had a lasting personal impact on me, including anxiety surrounding future pregnancy and childbirth. I would prefer to resolve my concerns directly and amicably, and I hope the hospital will provide a clear written response and the documentation I have requested. I am sharing my experience because communication, transparency, and helping patients understand their care are deeply important to me. UPDATE PLEASE READ Update: Since posting this review, I made further attempts to clarify why BayCare has not provided the signed general consent form it says covered Pitocin or the hospital's relevant policy from September 2021. I specifically asked David, the Patient Relations Manager, to clarify whether these documents were unavailable or whether BayCare was declining to provide them. David ultimately informed me that BayCare's review was closed, no further review was planned, and there was no additional information, records, or documentation to provide. When I sought further clarification about my outstanding requests, I was told there would be no further response. My concern remains that BayCare says Pitocin was covered by general consent, yet I have not been provided with the signed consent form I requested. I cannot determine whether additional documentation exists internally; I can only speak to what I have received. I had hoped to resolve this directly and amicably, but my specific questions remain unanswered.

I'm 65 right now and have never...NEVER met people as inept and rude as the staff that runs this place. Here is just ONE event I endured with these people. 1) My appointment with Dr. Lamielle was for 1 PM 2) I arrived at 12:45, checked-in, told to take a seat (usual stuff) 3) Soon, it is after 2PM so I walk up to the next open window to ask how much longer. 4) The girl says to me "Oh! So...ummmmm...wait a minute here! What the hell is going on? You lied? They lied? Why was I asked to even be there!?!?!? Hopefully, this clinic will shut down or, learn how to deal with patients in an appropriate manner instead of doing what they did to me. They are unprofessional, rude, and clearly incompetent.
