I saw him again in July to assess how my new blood pressure pills were working. It worked great & my blood pressure was controlled right away. All of my labs are normal so he said it's ok to have a follow up in 6 months. I like the PA. I have no issues with him. My issues are 100% about the protocols in place at this office. They require you to call the office every 3 months for your refills. Why can't they just give me a prescription with enough refills for one year like normal doctors offices??? If that's not frustrating enough, I can't call for my refills until 7 days exactly before I run out of meds. I use a mail order pharmacy so this is not ok. The first time I tried to call for refills, it was a month ahead & they said I have to call back a week before. So I called back 8 days before my prescription runs out, and they said I had to call back THE NEXT DAY!!! Why???? This is so ridiculous. They said it was because my prescription insurance won't fill it early but that's a lie because I receive notifications from my pharmacy to get a refill a month before it's due so they would have accepted it a month in advance. So now (early Dec) I'm almost out of my meds again, and I asked for another refill. I have my 6-month follow up appt in Jan. The office said they won't refill my med unless I see the doctor again before hand. I just saw him 5 months ago, and he said I just need to come in after 6 months. I told the office this, and they said it was office policy. Their policies make no sense, and I feel like it's all just a money making scheme because I keep getting charged here & there for things that should be completely covered under my health insurance. I never argued about it, and I paid what I owed since it was only $20-50. This ridiculous refill process is just not worth my time. I switched to another doctor that I know for sure gives one year refills. Save yourself the trouble & do NOT go to this office.

They would screw appointments...their tech/nurse was constantly, openly rude to me...they didn't care. There were SEVERAL instances of their unbelievable behavior...here is one from my letter of complaint to John Couris, president of Tampa General Hospital: "I will NEVER understand why you and your staff treated me the way you did. I did NOTHING wrong...I am happy to share what happened to me in reviews. I went to their clinic in Sun City Center...and that turned out to be a massive nightmare. I'm 65 right now and have never...NEVER met people as inept and rude as the staff that runs this place. It is almost funny it is so bad...but when you are on the receiving end of their nastiness...it is really ugly. Here is just ONE event I endured with these people. 1) My appointment with Dr. Lamielle was for 1 PM 2) I arrived at 12:45, checked-in, told to take a seat (usual stuff) 3) Soon, it is after 2PM so I walk up to the next open window to ask how much longer. 4) The girl says to me "Oh! You are really late!!" 5) I said no, I had been waiting since 12:45. 6) This office manager walks up and points out where I had indeed been checked in. 7) The girl said I missed my appointment but could come back in 6 weeks. (No, I am not kidding...they both told me that.) I was so angry, I just walked away but not before I asked how on earth could I have missed my appointment when I was there, on time and waiting. She told me the doctor did not have time to see me now, but I could come back in 6 weeks. UNBELIEVABLE!!!" To add to this lunacy, the doctor actually called me at home, a few days later, at 9PM at night (yep, that late at night) and told me he actually wasn't even in the clinic that day. So...ummmmm...wait a minute here! What the hell is going on? You lied? They lied? Why was I asked to even be there!?!?!? Hopefully, this clinic will shut down or, learn how to deal with patients in an appropriate manner instead of doing what they did to me. They are unprofessional, rude, and clearly incompetent. Sadly, this is the "Shared Purpose Statement" for Tampa General Hospital We heal. We teach. We innovate. Care for everyone. Every day. ...that certainly was NOT my experience with TGMG.

Update: we initially had some issues with an appointment, as explained below in my original review…read more We have since made it back in and spoke with Beth, who was very nice and understanding of how we're feeling about the events leading up to this. Everything was made right, and we will continue to return to Incare, as they have proven that they do care to make things right Thr Doctor also took time to speak with us while we were there. Thank you again. Do yourself a huge favor and find another primary care doctor. This place is absolutely terrible. Needed a few simple tests done for my daughter and some paperwork signed. After the tests were complete, they wanted an additional $50 to sign the paperwork. This was after multiple appointments had to be made due to their incompetence and inability to run the tests properly, resulting in having to take time out of my day to return (multiple times) so they could get it done correctly. Then, after all that, and the tests are finally completed, they wanted $50 to sign the paperwork confirming the results of the tests (which was supposed to be part of the follow up). And now as I'm trying to get a hold of someone in the office, I can either speak to their AI "representative" (that cannot help me) or get forwarded to a mailbox that is full and get hung up on. Worst experience ever. Do not recommend. Incompetent and dishonest.

I went for my first visit at Dr. Jacobson's office today and I had such an extremely pleasant…read moreexperience that I felt I needed to give a shout out to the yelp world about the healthcare team at this medical practice. Exceptional service at the front desk by Diane. She was pleasant, efficient, thorough, fast and was able to help multiple people at the same time without ever once giving you the feeling that you were being brushed aside for another patient's concerns that came in after you. This is a rare gift. To be able to genuinely connect and help multiple people at the same time it's just such a rarity I had to yelp about it. And to their credit the system they have set up for intake of new patients was incredibly painless. The paperwork was completed at the front desk by Diane I simply signed and dated and took direction from the tower and within a matter of two or three minutes I was asked to have a seat, again another five minutes I was in a room with A highly efficient nurse named Casey. She was able to dissect and notate my lengthy surgiery & medical history, medications, ad infinitum medical issues and again all notated faster than any other office I've ever been in and that's saying something after 28 surgeries in 20 years. Within five more minutes came a knock on the door at which time the doctor came in very friendly and accommodating and listened while I was explaining my extenuating health circumstances. To her credit and after my Personal and quite lengthy medical complaint dissertation was over, I was told that they were aware of everything that I had just spoke of so they did their homework on me and my health issues. My entire time spent at Dr. Jacobson's office as a new patient with multiple medical conditions and immediate needs was approximately 35 to 40 minutes. Please note that in the time mentioned above, I was administered lab tests and results were given as well. Five stars is not enough when you encounter exceptional service, but since it's my only option , five it is. Super efficient and friendly Diane at The helm/front desk, excellent nurse Casey on notating system, caring and genuine human being who looks you in the eyes AND really listens? That would be the awesome PA Christie and Dr. Jacobson. Bravo on your Assembly of such a highly effective and professional healthcare team. Go here if you want the best and most efficient professional care with no stone left unturned regarding your health. Thank you to the entire team at Dr. Jacobson's office at 500 Vanderburg Dr. in the East Tower in Brandon Florida. Keep up the good work! And I feel incredibly blessed and lucky to have just landed in Florida and have my first visit to a primary care physician go this well. I believe it bodes well for my health going forward. Signed sincerely, a new transplant from western North Carolina, Laurie Buchanan

She believes in preventative care and is extremely professional. Her offices are clean and well run, she truly cares about her patients, and she is easy to talk to. Since money was always an issue for me, she went out of her way to give me samples or discount coupons on my prescription medications, when they were available. She also made sure to discuss every aspect of life with me that would affect my health; such as diet, stress, excercise, family history, and overall well being. She has also given me excellent referrals and worked with my insurance companies to make sure that my preventative care is covered. Sometimes her office staff and nurses can be pushy or rude, since she is in a shared office complex with other doctors.
