More important to make a buck than take care of their patients. I've been one for 14 years. No more!

Yesterday I tried to get in to the Dr (Supposed to be open M-F 8a-4:30pm advertised). at 2:30 it was dark inside - called the answering service who told me they should be open and I should go knock on the door ... would not take a message - went back by - door locked. called back answering service twice - hung up on me once and then told me they only take messages for emergencies. If it was an emergency I would call the hospital or ambulance - not the family practitioner. Then I called their sister office who told me the Apollo Beach office should be open. this morning I called the Southshore (Apollo Beach Office) again. I was told they only worked half day yesterday and the dr was only in off a half day today and there were no appointments available till Friday and the Dr. couldn't call in a prescription for me unless she saw me first. I tried to explain that I had UTI - I knew what it was because I've had them before and I know what works. They pretty much told me tough luck - I could either wait till Friday or go to a walk in clinic. Why do I have a PCP if they just tell me to go to the walk in clinic. Very rude all around - no concern for the patient. I was appalled.

I have tried treatments in Michigan and also in Florida and was giving up on Acupuncture as an effective healing method for me. I was finding that I was in worse shape after the treatment, than I was when I arrived. Then I found the very talented Dr. Bragg. I was in a severe auto accident several years ago that caused disc damage along my entire spine, hip issues, neck and shoulder issues, 17 knee surgeries resulting in knee replacements, relentless fibromyalgia and has developed degenerative disc disease. Yup ........... I'm a disaster!! LOL I'm very touchy about my back and neck especially. If you don't come highly recommended, I won't even take a chance on you touching my body. I need someone that is highly skilled and has an exemplary knowledge of how the body works together. I need someone that truly believes in the healing powers of universal energy and has an unending knowledge of how it works to make my body function at its best. Dr Bragg truly understands the meaning of Qi and the importance of ying and yang ........ balance. The excellent energy of the surroundings adds to your healing experience and the efficiency that this office runs under Jim's guidance is a wonderful beginning to your experience. Miss Sarah is the kindest and most pleasant gal that makes your comfort her number 1 priority. The office is quite relaxing and laid back. Dr. Bragg draws from her vast knowledge to make sure you leave her office in optimum condition. I've never found another acupuncturist that is more knowledgeable and willing to utilize everything and anything that will leave you balanced and feeling much better than when you walked in the door. I look forward to my weekly appointments to keep me in fine tune!! If you need an Acupuncturist that just has "the touch" and is surrounded with a pleasant support staff ............... do yourself a favor and let Dr Bragg show you how good you can feel!! You won't be disappointed!! THANK YOU DR. BRAGG AND THE GANG!!!

They would screw appointments...their tech/nurse was constantly, openly rude to me...they didn't care. There were SEVERAL instances of their unbelievable behavior...here is one from my letter of complaint to John Couris, president of Tampa General Hospital: "I will NEVER understand why you and your staff treated me the way you did. I did NOTHING wrong...I am happy to share what happened to me in reviews. I went to their clinic in Sun City Center...and that turned out to be a massive nightmare. I'm 65 right now and have never...NEVER met people as inept and rude as the staff that runs this place. It is almost funny it is so bad...but when you are on the receiving end of their nastiness...it is really ugly. Here is just ONE event I endured with these people. 1) My appointment with Dr. Lamielle was for 1 PM 2) I arrived at 12:45, checked-in, told to take a seat (usual stuff) 3) Soon, it is after 2PM so I walk up to the next open window to ask how much longer. 4) The girl says to me "Oh! You are really late!!" 5) I said no, I had been waiting since 12:45. 6) This office manager walks up and points out where I had indeed been checked in. 7) The girl said I missed my appointment but could come back in 6 weeks. (No, I am not kidding...they both told me that.) I was so angry, I just walked away but not before I asked how on earth could I have missed my appointment when I was there, on time and waiting. She told me the doctor did not have time to see me now, but I could come back in 6 weeks. UNBELIEVABLE!!!" To add to this lunacy, the doctor actually called me at home, a few days later, at 9PM at night (yep, that late at night) and told me he actually wasn't even in the clinic that day. So...ummmmm...wait a minute here! What the hell is going on? You lied? They lied? Why was I asked to even be there!?!?!? Hopefully, this clinic will shut down or, learn how to deal with patients in an appropriate manner instead of doing what they did to me. They are unprofessional, rude, and clearly incompetent. Sadly, this is the "Shared Purpose Statement" for Tampa General Hospital We heal. We teach. We innovate. Care for everyone. Every day. ...that certainly was NOT my experience with TGMG.

I saw him again in July to assess how my new blood pressure pills were working. It worked great & my blood pressure was controlled right away. All of my labs are normal so he said it's ok to have a follow up in 6 months. I like the PA. I have no issues with him. My issues are 100% about the protocols in place at this office. They require you to call the office every 3 months for your refills. Why can't they just give me a prescription with enough refills for one year like normal doctors offices??? If that's not frustrating enough, I can't call for my refills until 7 days exactly before I run out of meds. I use a mail order pharmacy so this is not ok. The first time I tried to call for refills, it was a month ahead & they said I have to call back a week before. So I called back 8 days before my prescription runs out, and they said I had to call back THE NEXT DAY!!! Why???? This is so ridiculous. They said it was because my prescription insurance won't fill it early but that's a lie because I receive notifications from my pharmacy to get a refill a month before it's due so they would have accepted it a month in advance. So now (early Dec) I'm almost out of my meds again, and I asked for another refill. I have my 6-month follow up appt in Jan. The office said they won't refill my med unless I see the doctor again before hand. I just saw him 5 months ago, and he said I just need to come in after 6 months. I told the office this, and they said it was office policy. Their policies make no sense, and I feel like it's all just a money making scheme because I keep getting charged here & there for things that should be completely covered under my health insurance. I never argued about it, and I paid what I owed since it was only $20-50. This ridiculous refill process is just not worth my time. I switched to another doctor that I know for sure gives one year refills. Save yourself the trouble & do NOT go to this office.
