Rented a house for the week. Upon arrival the house smelled of mold and could tell of previous flooding as dry wall was cut out and replaced with cheap bamboo cover up. Many other issues, not livable. They moved us to another 5 bedroom home on the opposite side (gulf). Still pool was dirty, toilets acting up, bait fridge was broken, fridge inside would not stay cold and had to throw food away, ac would not cool below 78-82. Horrible experience, pulling teeth to get anything done. Refunded us a little money after fighting with them, but not much. Will NEVER use them again! Do not recommend. Stay clear of this company at all costs. Both homes where on the market, just trying to make a quick dollar before dumping it on who ever buys it. read more

Renter beware! The staff at this office embody all the worst traits of the Florida keys ... Namely laziness, incompetence, and dishonesty. I would never rent a property from this office again. Once they have your money they won't respond to any problems with the rental property. read more

Renters beware: This property manager (Florida Keys Realty) is incompetent and unresponsive to any issues that might arise during your vacation. We stayed at a house managed by this company and would avoid any house that they managed. At the house we stayed at, serious problems (such as an unusable bathroom, and broken glass all over the floor) were present when we arrived. The property managers did not address any of these issues over the course of a 28-day rental. Multiple emails to the property managers, attempting to address the variety of issues at the house, received contradictory, confusing, and outright rude replies. For example, one property manager claimed that a faucet for the sink was ordered but would not arrive for three weeks. Then, the next day she sent an email saying that she had never been notified about the sink issues. Unless you want to spend your vacation on the phone, and even being accused of lying, do not rent from Florida Keys Realty! read more

I disagree with the last review. These people are fabulous. They do everything they can to make our dream vacation unforgettable. Lisa Carter and her husband George are dedicated to their clients and customers. We have rented from them a few times and they work with us so that we can have an affordable vacation. ****DO NOT RENT FROM THESE PEOPLE**** We rented the Cudjoe Bay Overlook Property and from the beginning I knew there was going to be a problem, unfortunately we were working in Key West and this was the closest reasonablely priced house for rent. When I went to pickup the keys the realty lady had the biggest attitude and was just a nasty person to deal with. We rented a property from January 1 through March 15 - we had a leaking bathroom the entire time. When I called them to fix it they sent someone out and said there was no problem. They called us in the middle of the rental and claimed that the health department said the septic tank was being clooged from napkins. First of all you notice when a septic tank is overflowing; there was no backup. When I told them that there was no backup of the septic tank she told me that if it happened again then we would ahve to pay for it.... of course, this was after I reported the water leak from the first day we were there. They NEVER walked the property with us. When I arrived I noted things that were wrong with the property from broken outdoor furinture to dirty walls. The ceiling fans looked like they hadn't been cleaned in months - but yet they charge the renter a cleaning fee. Then at the end of the rental they had to audacity to call me and accuse us of stealing a kayak! They claim that the owners neighbor saw us using it. I can tell you since I did the walk through - there was NO kayak anywhere on the property. They had a large boat on the side of the house that was locked up and another small vessel that was suspended from the car port area - and that one was locked up as well. When the rental was finished I went down myself and cleaned the house form top to bottom, nothing was broken or missing - or even out of place. They also called and said that we broke a ceiling fan blade. I should've taken photos as I do not recal a fan blade being broken. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND ANYONE RENT FROM THESE PEOPLE. read more
