I had a fun time going to Apex shooting center for the first time yesterday…read more There are a few things to know: 1) Ladies night is every Tuesday where women can enter for free. 2) First time registrants must pay a $10 registration fee, but then everytime you go it's free. 3) To save some money, bring your own Targets, and / or ear protection. They are available but cost a little more for convenience. I know targets are $15 each but not the head gear because we brought our own. 4) Of course you have to bring other supplies and amo but they do provide rentals and amo sales there as well. I really like the look of Apex. It's very clean, neat, spotless, and new looking. They have high tech cameras where it films you which I thought was really cool. Highly recommend Apex!

I joined mainly to use the 500-yard range, but too often it's closed when I have time to shoot. Today, I drove there (half an hour drive from Miami) and was told that my membership had expired on September 1st. I had no reminder, no text or email. I was also informed that the veteran membership has increased from 150 to 200 a year. What frustrated me most was the lack of customer service effort. Considering I've been a member for over two years, and my membership had only recently expired and I had already driven all the way there, I would have expected something like, "Since you're already here, let me check with the manager and see if we can allow you to shoot today." But before you came back, you'll need to renew your membership. Even if the employee didn't have the authority herself, simply asking a manager would have shown some effort to accommodate and retain a long time customer. HTC also offers non-member public range option, but that wasn't mentioned either. Granted, that wouldn't give me access to the members only 500-yard range, but at least offering alternatives would have demonstrated some customer service. Between the unreliable availability of the 500-yard range, the $50 membership increase, no renewal notification, and the lack of any attempt to find a reasonable solution when I arrived, the membership is simply no longer worth it for me. If you're considering joining primarily for the 500-yard range, I'd recommend checking its availability very carefully before paying for a membership.

We brought our own goggles, ear muffs, and guns. The targerts were less than $2 each and we payed less than $30 per person for an unlimited time to shoot. I plan to be back soon!

When I tried purchasing it online, the price increased significantly at checkout. This felt like a classic bait-and-switch tactic. I returned to the store and showed them the advertised price, but they refused to honor it. Nick was professional and genuinely tried to help resolve the situation. Unfortunately, Bebo was unhelpful, dishonest, and unwilling to address the issue. Based on my experience, I would not recommend doing business here.
