I called for a small issue that I had a work-around for, but hoping to have it work correctly and within 5 minutes, the tech rep successfully broke my whole sim and it was unusable for months. He couldn't fix it and an outside company didn't care. I paid thousands of $$ extra and spent several months down to get this resolved and it's still much worse than before I called. Every time the tech tried to help, I had to make a new work-around to compensate for what he did. Finally, I gave up trying. These people don't know what they're doing. To be fair, most of their sims are one-offs and probably custom made so they make a new thing for every installation but I would shop elsewhere.

He is a real gentleman and a retired Blackhawck army pilot! He will be the first one to enjoy teaching you and demo any sim he has at the facility. I took my son one day to try the sims. Since then he became a private pilot holder at the age of 17 after 4 months of training on the real plane and a few hours on the sim. A big thanks to John for sharing and giving the vibe of flying to my boy!Keep up with the good job

For a couple of years, I've been going through Microsoft's Flight Simulator X missions on my laptop and have always wanted to know how to really fly a jet. My pilot instructor, Jordan explained the controls and we were off. Jordan was excellent. He helped make the best use of our hour together. I only wish AviaSim were located close to Clearwater/St Petersburg/Tampa so I could avoid Orlando's traffic. Though experience with Flight Simulator X helped tremendously, Jordan would get anyone wanting to learn up in the air. Unlike the computer application, flying the Airbus A320 requires using both hands to manipulate the equipment. This is an experience I'm never going to forget. I hope to do it again... with Jordan. I will never forget this experience with AviaSim. Bring your camera with you... we're talking serious bragging rights here!

Took my dad here for a fathers day gift, and decided to get a flight myself. I thought that Dad and…read moreI would take two gliders in the same plane, and was dismayed to learn that we would not- we each had to wait while the other was up. Luckily, the facility was very pleasant to wait in, and the employees I spoke to were friendly and encouraging (I am also a student pilot). However, the actual glider flight left something to be desired. Each flight lasted approximately 30 minutes, and both mine and my Father's flights consisted of recycled spoken material, an unwillingness to give us the controls and tedious circling looking for thermals. I chose to go the highest we could, and not once did the instructor let us do anything exciting or give me the controls for even a fraction of a second. Flying and weather will always be variable. But even the lady at the front desk was surprised about my flight. In addition, my 60 year old father and myself were forced to walk from the glider to the building multiple times in the hot Florida sun, despite the presence of a golf cart. They just did not feel like moving the golf cart around multiple times. On a positive note, the grounds and facility are beautiful. They even did an entry in my Glider log-book, for about .6 hrs of flight. I feel guilty with that entry though- I absolutely did not learn a thing. It was clear my instructor was incredible knowledgeable- he was just not interested in sharing any of it. I think they really want to do glider add-ons, and do not enjoy the short single flights that many people come here for. I would consider coming here for a glider add-on since they have a room availible on the premises for approx 35$. That's a great deal! On a final note, if they want to just do glider add-ons, just don't offer an intro flight! If not, please embrace the intro flights. Instead of a cold, sterile and unexciting instructor/flight, make it an enjoyable experience. Even one loop or lazy-8, or even a turn steeper than 30 degrees would have changed my opinion of my flight. Embrace the fun that gliders can be, and put a pilot in the cockpit who actually wants to be there and talk to people.

Most of them felt like they were trying to sell me something. Orlando Flight School was genuine from the beginning and made me feel like they were there to support my goals, not the other way around. They offer both part 141 and part 61 as well as helicopter training. I choose part 61 as I have a full time job. They were very flexible and were able to accommodate my work schedule. I can't speak more highly about my ground instructor Joe and my flight instructor Steve. Not only are they outstanding instructors, but also became great mentors. I cannot thank them enough for the knowledge and skills they have taught me. If you're hesitant about starting, my best advice is to invest in yourself and place your trust in the people who will genuinely challenge, support, and empower you to reach your full potential. I am very grateful for my experience here and highly recommend this flight school for anyone looking to change their life and fly!
