Through a series of skill building exercises we were introduced to the concept of alternating the targeting eye from right to left as the line of sight changed from one source of cover to another. This allowed for less exposure and a better use of cover while moving from one point to the next. I would recommend this course to anyone interested in defensive shooting. On November 17th I was able to attend Mr. Mariucci's Pistol Contact / Retention Fighting Course. This was the first time I was able to use my everyday carry pistol and IWB holster. This allowed me to identify a fault in my gun manipulation from drawing with one hand and shooting then transitioning to a two handed grip and continuing to fire. I have been able to address this problem thanks to this class. We were then taught a weapon retention technique that is simple to remember yet effective in allowing the time and space required to fire on an assailant while protecting your face and head from blows. I would recommend this course to all who concealed carry.

We also were humbled to learn how hard it is to discern between threats and "non-threats". The class really drove home the immense responsibility inherent in choosing to carry. I highly recommend it. I ordered two shotguns online and needed to come in to fill out paperwork for the background check. However, he had an issue with the apt number on my license not matching the new apt number I wrote on the paperwork. So I simply asked he to either accept my supplemental docs or I'll just write down the old apt number. I moved apartments numbers on the SAME property! and Paul made me order an entirely new license even after I provided legal documents of the number change, which pushed back starting the background check for a week and a half. I forgot to add that he CHARGED my card for the the background check, then told me to order new ID. Mind you, I also ordered a Glock and sent it to a different FFL and it was a simple process giving listed supplemental documents. My second issue with this guy is that his communication is awful. I ended up having to wait an additional 4 days instead of 3 because "he didn't know when he was going to be back at the shop". Borderline unprofessional I WILL NEVER work with this company again, I would recommend you all STAY FAR AWAY, not worth the headache.
