I live in a very well to do neighborhood and unfortunately, these guys will look up house values and charge accordingly so while some neighborhoods will get $10k decks, not mine. If I was living in DC suburbs then they'd charge us $50k for the deck. I got the PVC Aztek material with metal posts. The guys did the job in 2 days. I was worried when I saw scuffs on my new deck the day after install, but Luke came to buff them out. With Aztek, you have to be very careful about scratching the deck with furniture so I've yet to put anything on my deck! We rarely eat out there anyways. We're not outdoorsy people.

I called to ask for a estimate on how much it will cost to put the panel back in and the quoted $750, citing gas ( they are less than 5 inured from my house) they have to pay workers for a days worth of work ( it's literally an hour job). That's ridiculous!!! Don't call for repairs that's for sure. After spending 10k on the fence, it's $750 for one panel put in? Not even replaced.

My experience with McKenney Builders fell significantly short of what was contracted and paid for…read more The project was not completed as a turnkey build. Some Materials and labor that I had paid for were not ultimately provided, requiring me to hire additional contractors and purchase materials again in order to complete portions of the project upward of $15k. The job site was frequently inactive for extended periods. Before final inspections, I incurred additional expenses to address four active plumbing leaks and the resulting damage that were not corrected. I also received a gas water heater instead of the electric water heater specified for the project. Interior doors, baseboards, and other paid-for items remained unprovided & uninstalled. Floors that were intended to be flush between rooms were constructed with approximately 2-inch height transitions. The exterior deck foundation was never built although paid for. Communication became a significant issue as the project progressed. Concerns were repeatedly raised, but solutions were not provided. Several design decisions that had been provided in writing were not implemented as directed, requiring additional corrective work and cost (!) where possible. The project also experienced ongoing quality and oversight issues, including damaged flooring that was never repaired, unfinished & uneven stairs, prolonged plumbing issues and delays, construction debris remaining on site despite payment for debris removal services, and kitchen cabinets that were being installed significantly out of level, requiring me to stop the work and hire another contractor to complete the installation. As a result, I incurred substantial additional costs, spent considerable time coordinating corrective work, and ultimately had to manage completion of portions of the project myself after the original scope remained unfinished. Prospective customers should carefully review project scope, material delivery, change-order procedures, completion requirements, and contractor oversight responsibilities before entering into an agreement.

I put it off as…read morelong as I could and figured whoever came in to do this estimate would just recommend a new deck, so I was very weary of who I wanted to work with for this job. Once I spoke with Nick ( the owner ) there was a sense of trust I felt, he understood the project more than any other contractor I spoke with so far. He quickly came out to perform an estimate, and I dreaded the idea of putting money out for a new deck.. Not only was his estimate insanely reasonable, he didn't suggest a new deck at all. He repaired some boards that were rotted and loose, and refinished the whole deck. My jaw dropped from the results, not only is IronRidge Contracting great at building decks, they are equally as great at repairing them! His estimate and final price lined up so well, he even offers financing, which I happily took advantage of this time around. When it comes to decks Nick from Iron Ridge knows what he's doing, saying he's an expert is an understatement. If anything go get an estimate, talk with them and trust me, you'll be hiring them in no time! A++ Thanks again Team!
