A high-ceiling dining room has '70s rock playing. More Steely Dan, please! My patty melt was literally the BEST PATTY MELT I've ever had in my life. Perfectly seasoned, crispy, juicy. Fries were excellent. I had a tiny cup of pineapple-sweetened coleslaw for $6, not mind-blowing though. For dessert I had a flawless cherry crumble, heated with a scoop of ice cream. I paid about $50 for this lunch. IT WAS WORTH IT. Can't wait to go back!

We always ask for a table with chairs because I have back problems and can't sit in their totally worn booths and the host has never had a problem with that request. But yesterday the regular host wasn't there and we were told they were busy and we had to sit at the counter or in a booth because they didn't want to put us the two of us at a table for four (there were two tables available). We waited for nearly ten minutes and when I asked again if we could sit at one of the tables was almost rudely told no, they were busy. So we left and went to Joanie's on California Avenue. They were also busy but immediately seated us and we had a much better lunch. Sometimes it's good to change things up as we'd forgotten how kind and attentive all the of the staff are at Joanie's and how much better the food was. And both of our plates of food came out hot and perfectly cooked which doesn't always happen at the Creamery. I guess we just eat there for the memories. My husband said none of the staff at the Creamery seem happy except for the host so if we don't see him seating the guests, we'll just go to Joanie's.

Both coffee drinks were excellent - strong and flavorful. We definitely ordered way too much food, but it was delicious! My omelette was basic but tasty, and the pancakes were insane. We skipped the cotton candy topping, but the lemon-custard cream and homemade whipped cream were incredible. Service was quick and seamless. Would definitely return for more!

It's not overly fancy, and it feels like that good hearty meal that you would get at home... in Europe. I love it! The portions are fairly generous, and everything tastes super fresh, and is served with care. I originally thought I would have the breakfast sandwich, but ended up getting the classic two egg breakfast. My eggs were poached perfectly, the blueberry pancakes were topped with fresh blueberries, and powdered sugar with just combined together, took the flavors to the next level. The bacon was absolutely divine, but let's talk about the potatoes. They were buttery, crisp, fully flavored homestyle potatoes that make you want to put potatoes into their own food group. The service was great, the food was great, and this is definitely a restaurant that needs to be explored because everything on the menu sounds absolutely delicious! Parking was fairly easy, and I'm really excited to return and try more of the menu items.

However, we parked in the lot and were able to get a seat right away. Despite having a stroller, nobody asked if we needed a booster seat/high chair, so I went to go get one myself... We ended up ordering two of the Joanie's Breakfast Medleys, mine with french toast and chicken apple sausage, and my wife's with pancakes and bacon. Although it was a decently sized plate, I guess I expected a bit more for over $25...the french toast was like two halves of one slice, but the chicken apple sausage and potatoes were good. Coffee was nice as well, and they kept coming by to refill, which was nice and needed. However disaster struck when one of the waiters knocked off a tray from a ledge right by our table. The tray crashed onto our table and spilled water, hot coffee, and creamer all over me, and our under two year old who started crying. I rushed over to check for burns from the coffee, but luckily it was okay. After the clean-up I was waiting to see if anyone might come by to ask if anything was needed, let me know if I could get more food since I wasn't entirely finished, or at least apologize and comp our meal. Unfortunately I didn't get any replacement food, and they brought the bill and mentioned that we didn't have to pay for coffee...$68 pre-tip was a little upsetting after our experience, even though I know accidents can happen... Of course, later on I smelled spoilt because of the creamer/milk that was still on my clothes after walking around the Farmer's Market...lovely...

This was faster than expected, as we tried coming here around noon the weekend before, and the wait was over 30+ minutes before we decided to go somewhere else to eat. The omurice was okay - galbi was kinda sweet and the rice was on the wet side. The egg tasted pretty buttery. I thought the combination did not really work together. I liked the matcha moffle. The matcha cream was very good and flavorful and went well with the texture of the mochi waffle. The service was not great. I'm not sure if they were shortstaffed, but no one stopped by to take our order and we had to flag someone down. We had to ask for water. They refilled 1 person's water but not everyone else's, even though my cup was almost empty. When they dropped off the moffle, they didn't provide a knife and we had to ask for one. The server did bring us sharing dishes unprompted which was nice. The people who picked up our plates and utensils were very quick and came around more often that the server. Tip options start at 18% on the card reader, but you can customize the tip to the service you received. Ambiance - a little hard to have a conversation and talk with people at my table, we had to keep asking each other to repeat ourselves. Overall, probably wouldn't come back, I can get better food, ambiance and service elsewhere.

When it seemed time for plates to be coming to our table, they just kept going somewhere else. But when our plates did arrive, everything was very good. The pancakes were huge and fluffy, definitely the highlight. The hash browns could have used a little more cooking. The potatoes weren't raw, just lacked a bit in the crispy top.
