They always do a nice job, the flowers are fresh and look as advertised, and the best part? This is a local business. I will say they aren't cheap, but with the end result being consistently good I do think it's worth it and they deliver pretty much anywhere in the metro which I think is really great considering that we have such a big area. I've delivered as far north as the Northland and as far south as 172nd street and they've been on time and done a nice job. I'll be back!

As I was getting ready to walk down the aisle, holding my GORGEOUS bouquet, the arbor was in clear view and I was so overwhelmed at how beautiful, full, and unique it was. For all you wedding planners/brides, the arbor is the first thing that guests see when they come to your wedding and you definitely do not want to disappoint! Then, when we came out for our reception, I was blown away at how absolutely beautiful our sweetheart table was decorated! Not only did we order our daughter flowers then, we have since ordered 4 other times with each order having a specific request. Never have we been disappointed in the interactions when ordering, the final cost, the quality of the arrangements and the amazing creativity displayed in each arrangement. This recent order was due to our daughter moving to the Hyde Park area this Christmas. When I called and spoke to Sarah (which is always a wonderful experience!) I explained only the color preferences. When we arrived to visit our daughter on this December 23rd and I was able to see the arrangements that Bergamot & Ivy had created and delivered I was in absolute awe! The most amazing thing was how perfectly the arrangements fit in her new home on Janssen Place! Absolutely stunning! Worth every cent spent. Once again an epic masterpiece! Worst experience ever. I ordered flowers for my wife for Valentine's Day as a husband does. I…read moreordered them online thru www.avasflowers.net who is just an "order gatherer" according to LA Floral. This order is then passed over to LA Floral to fulfill and delivery. The product I ordered was offered in Small @ $44.99, Medium @ $54.99, Large @ $64.99 and Luxury Grade @ $74.99. I ordered the Luxury Grade option but only received the Small option. I'm giving them 2 stars simply because they did deliver on time even if they didn't deliver what I ordered. It was impossible to reach AVAS Flowers and I got a crazy response from LA Floral when I asked that either they send the Luxury Grade version or refund the $30 difference. This is the response I got from them. "The problem is they mis-represent the arrangement based on price. Valentine's week flowers are even higher than normal week -- meaning the farms and suppliers raise the prices, which means we have to raise the price. We did receive $74.99, from which we had to subtract delivery fee, giving us only $67.00 to pay for the flowers/greenery, the vase, design time and Ava's receives 30% of the price we received. Also, the order we received from Ava's did have a recipe but it also plainly stated "Similar," meaning we have to abide by the current pricing. The order we designed was following the recipe but filled only to the retail value." When I replied back that their profit margin is not my issue. I paid for an item based on the size I selected. If I had wanted the small version I would have ordered at the lower price. Needless to say they refused to refund the difference. Their policy is that it doesn't matter what you ordered. They will determine how to fulfill the order based on what they determine to be the retail value. I can't speak for how they do business in person but as for ordering online thru a 3rd party that is fulfilled by them I can say that I DO NOT RECOMMEND.
