Brit who helped me really went out of her way to ensure she understood what the occasion was for and colors/flower preferences when putting together my arrangement. The arrangement is based on your budget so if you found it too expensive that's probably because you weren't vocal enough during the selection process as they truly do try to work with you if you say $50 they stick to $50. If your like me who tend to go towards expensive flowers like peonies which eat up your budget and limit how many flowers you will get; they will let you know before finalizing the arrangement so that your not stuck with something your not happy with.

This is also my pick-up location for my CSA, and the summertime is great - both my weekly basket, and other fresh local seasonal vegetables available (I sometimes run in two or three times a week to pick up something - the quality is far above the vegetables at the local grocer). They also have a freezer of locally produced meats. I've also ordered flowers for delivery, both local and through FTD, and I've never been disappointed. They carry local honey (and they'll get me 5-lb jars), and local maple syrup, both produced by the Woodbury Sugar Shack. They also have a large selection of giftware and home decorations. This is a fantastic place to find unique ornaments at Christmas time (I've found a couple that have become family heirlooms!). The service is excellent, and the entire staff is welcoming and friendly. I highly recommend this business for your floral and farm product needs.

Southbury Country Florist absolutely made my Mom's best friend, Rita's, birthday so special…read more The floral arrangement the owner, Kim Bova, created was gorgeous - fresh, full hydrangeas with beautiful seasonal greens and accents, arranged perfectly in a clear vase. It brightened up Rita's whole room the moment it arrived. The coordinating "Happy Birthday" card was so sweet and thoughtful, and she hasn't stopped talking about how pretty everything is. I purchased the beautiful birthday card, and the square on the card has seeds to be planted, and you soak it in water overnight, and place in a planter, cover with 1/8 inch of dirt, and it grows more flowers! I thought this was extra special so Rita can keep flowers blooming after the floral arrangement is long gone. From ordering to delivery, everything was smooth and right on time. It's clear they put real care into their work and into making their customers (and recipients!) feel special. I highly recommend Southbury Country Florist and I will definitely order from them again. If you have a family member or friend at River Glen Health Care Center in Southbury, CT, I please consider choosing Southbury Country Florist for any special gift or floral arrangement, because your recepient will love the care and creativity that goes into your arrangement and gift! Kim, thank you for making Rita feel very special on her 100th birthday!! 10 out of 10 rating!

Time and time again, she takes the vision I describe, often with very little notice, and transforms it into something even more beautiful than I imagined. What impresses me most is her artistic eye. I don't have to micromanage the design or specify every flower. I simply explain the sentiment I want to convey, and Shari creates an arrangement that is elegant, thoughtful, and perfectly suited to the occasion. Her ability to bring that vision to life is truly a gift. One of my favorite parts of the experience is knowing that the recipient is receiving an arrangement personally designed by the artist herself. Without fail, I'm greeted with excitement, gratitude, and compliments about how stunning the flowers are. It makes every gift feel incredibly special. EMY Custom Flowers never disappoints. The quality, creativity, professionalism, and attention to detail are consistently exceptional.
