I looked on Yelp to find flower shops in San Diego, since I live in LA. I found the site and ordered online and the site was very easy to use. I also called to speak to someone, to get a bit more information and the lady was very sweet and helpful. I ordered the flowers (see picture) for my brothers wife, and everything looked wonderful however I didn't see any or as much orchids as I would've thought would be in the arrangement. The photo and description mentioned there would be orchids, and I didn't see them. I know that based off of what flowers you choose, the price varies. All in all, I was happy with them! Also, the delivery person was super nice and called me to inform me that he left them in the front because no one was home and just had a really great attitude over the phone!

For the past five years, Florabella has been my go-to spot when I really want to impress wifey. Today for her birthday I walked in to get a bouquet for her, greeted by Carol. She was so kind and helpful and made me feel very welcome. The florist Jen put together a beautiful, vibrant custom bouquet in the vase I brought. I asked if they have gift wrap or know where to get some close-by, and they generously offered to provide me some brown paper and ribbon to wrap the gift box. Not only that, but Carol helped me when she noticed my tacky wrapping skills! So nice! After about 10 minutes, I had my beautiful bouquet and wrapped gift, ready to go. This was my definitely my best trip to Florabella out of about eight or nine so far and it's time that I say that they are my favorite florist in town.

I've used Florabella twice. Each time it was a last-minute order that they filled quickly and efficiently. The flowers they selected were top quality and some rare. They made each occasion special and my husband was pleasantly surprised each time. It's obvious that Carol loves her business and cares a great deal about her customers and their needs. I was really pleased with the service Florabella offered me this past Thursday! I walked in, welcomed by the sweet atmosphere of the place and a woman who was willing to go through any lengths necessary to make me feel comfortable and accommodated for. The flowers were for my mother, who was arriving from Canada in less than an hour no less! Using a picture and a thank you card for reference, I had sorted out my flower choices (and a budget!) with the help of one of the employees! The employee helping me even offered a hand in picking out the perfect glass vase! Right after my transaction, the owner Jen had put herself to work and wow, that was nice. It sounded like she was working magic on my arrangement in the back. You could tell the store paid attention to detail just looking at Jen at work! From what I had overheard from a phone call the employee was on, the flowers were always fresh and of high quality. They're never an assortment of flowers that'd die the next day either. But again, WOW - the bouquet was, indeed, magical. Jen brought it to the counter herself, looking impressed with her own work! She talked to me a short bit and wished me a good day before I left, but wow, I was in awe with these flowers. This visit was my first experience with a florist (isn't it obvious?), but I'm pretty hooked. It looks like Florabella has a new customer on what seems like a never-ending list of satisfied customers. Thank you so much for the arrangement! My mom is in love with them and they're still in top condition! I'll definitely be back for more gifts and flowers of my own!

Needed a last-minute floral arrangement for a VIP and Florabella did not disappoint. I was able to shop several of their arrangements, which were elegantly depicted on their website. The site was very easy to navigate and I was able to order directly online. On check out, you are able to provide delivery instructions and compose a note for the recipient. Very convenient. I set a very specific delivery window and they delivered in a timely fashion. The recipient's note was even hand written, a nice touch! The bouquet itself was pretty close to the one depicted in their original site listing. Smooth sailing throughout the transaction and delivery. Definitely recommend and will use again.

I think I'm flower stupid. Hear me out okay? I remember back in the day, when I was a wee lad and I was trying to swoon on the ladies, I used to pick flowers from neighbor's yards to bring to them. Talk about trying to save lunch money! Then the next biggest thing was to go to a local grocery store and get my flowers there. Hit and miss, right? Then came evolution of the call and order 1-800 Flowers. To me, that was the most legit way to get flowers to someone STAT. Soon after, we have internet and you have Pro Flowers, company above and other vendors making it easy for you to order. Where this bothered me was it took the personal interaction with the florist completely out of the picture. Again, hit and miss. I've had some of the most beautiful flowers delivered and then I've had flowers that were about to kick the bucket or completely unsatisfactory in some other way. Guess what? I went back to to quick grocery store trips until very recently, with thanks to you Yelp reviewers and my trusty iPhone Yelp app, searched for the nearest florist from our apartment. Florabella ended up my first pick and the reviews looked promising. I ended up there today because my wife has been busting her ass at work and at home and working out like a beast. Our dog also decided to chew up some carpet today. Yeah, I needed something really nice. I was greeted immediately at the door and told her my situation. She asked the best question I didn't even think about telling her as soon as I got in there, which was, "How much are you looking at spending?" Basic, but man, did it make sense! I told her how much and she walked me to the back to check out their stock of fresh flowers in the fridge. You can tell walking around that this place was legit and people were busy filling orders as they come in or that they needed to get done. I told her I know she loves a fall theme, and she said it would only be 5-10 minutes. She introduced me to the girl that was going to take care of me, then walked me to the front to fill out my order. I walked up to the counter and filled out a small card, sat down at their table in front and as I was talking, BOOM, the flowers were right there on the table beside me. I was floored about how nice they looked! I completely believe the money I spent on them was well worth it and very unique. I left there with a huge smile and I can't wait till my wife walks through the door here to check them out. Thanks guys and I will be back, oh yes, I will be back! (Next time, a white old english D on dark blue baseball cap equals Detriot, not Boston. LOL)

I called florabella with a budget, a color, and a same day delivery request. I had just received a call that my gramma was in the hospital and I wanted flowers delivered ASAP. I was still a little shocked at the severity of the emergency when I called in to place the order. The woman who answered the phone was wonderful. Anniversary Flowers Go Boom! I was enroute home from a business trip in LA and wanted to surprise my fiance with flowers for our 5 year anniversary. Since we live in Mission Valley I was Yelping places close by and found Florabella, and SO glad I did. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and worked within my desired budget. The bouquet was beautiful, elegant, and best of all was, ready by the time I got there even when I had ordered it when I was on the freeway in Orange County. Fiance was stoked on the flowers. I live in Texas, and ordering flowers long distance when you don't know the area can be a little unsettling, but that's not the case with Florabella. I got here at 4pm today to find that the doors were closed! I thought I'd call to see what's going on because their website states that they close at 5pm... I come to find that they were closing up earlier today when I called but they were nice enough to open up the place just for me so that I can get a bouquet for my girlfriend! What a customer service! This was the 2nd time I've been here and every time they arranged something it came out looking great! I definitely recommend this place to anyone! read more

Absolutely flawless experience, from the moment I called it was a great. Lisa is incredibly friendly and helpful. I requested her to use her expertise but make something color for my mom for mothers day. If I could do 10 stars I would. My fiancee has been working in Balboa Park with the museums there. We live in Northern Cal. After a particularly grueling week of grant writing that ended on Thursday, I thought it would be good to send some brightness to the office for Friday. I called up Florabella after doing my Yelp Sweep and asked them to do an arrangement with peonies. I had been told by other florists it would be "no problem" and that they would use imported ones as they are out of season here. Well the person I spoke to at Florabella gave me the heads up that they hadn't been seen in the flower marts for a long time. STAR ONE. The other places were likely going to take my money, and then swap out because they have a clause to do that if they can;t provide what you are looking for. I then started to talk about other options and wanted orchids, calla, and other more exotic flowers. The person I spoke with (wish I could remember her name she was great), patiently discussed the options with me and repeated them back when we were done. STAR TWO. I then told her what I wanted on the card and again it was repeated back so there would be no mistakes, including the different spelling of my first name. STAR THREE. I asked that it be delivered before lunch so that they would be sure to be there and have it to enjoy for the afternoon and so it was right before Noon delivered as asked. STAR FOUR. Finally, my fiancee posted it to FB when it was received and it was absolutely stunning. If you want to see a photo of it look for my caption up top there. SO SO STAR F I V E Florabella you are the best. I cannot recommend these professional, caring, competent, and creative people highly enough. I would give five stars just for the customer service alone. I wanted to send my mother a beautiful flower arrangement for her birthday, so I contacted Florabella the night before and received a follow-up first thing in the morning. My mind was at complete ease because they informed me that they would go to the market to pick fresh flowers and would have it ready for me. Who does that? Especially with such short notice? I live in New York with tons of family in San Diego, this wonderful establishment will definitely be my go to spot whenever I want to send flowers to my loved ones. Thank you guys! Florabella will be my first stop for all future flower needs. I purchased a bouquet for my girlfriend for her birthday and they went above and beyond to make it special for her. The prices are reasonable and when I emailed in questions about my order Carol and Sarah responded the same day. They also offer a drop off service at the coffee shop across the street, which is great if you get out of work a little later like I do. I've ordered twice from them and plan to do so again in the near future. It's refreshing to work with a business that takes pride in not only the product they sell but the service they offer. I had to arrange a bouquet for Valentines day over the phone because I was going to be out of town, so I picked this place based on the yelp reviews and my expectations were EXCEEDED. They were delightful and friendly on the phone, asking about things like color preferences, not a bit pushy on prices at all, even asked me to generate a price range for myself and I felt quite comfortable because of that, since a lot of places can really try to sell you. The bouquet was simply gorgeous, artful and perfect; five days later it's still fresh and beautiful. read more

Absolutely AMAZING!! I work in Costa Mesa and need to send flowers in San Diego, for my boss. I saw all the great reviews on Yelp and then looked at their website. The picture looked amazing so I called first thing this morning to order flowers to be delivered today. I spoke with Sarah- absolutely a delight-very helpful. She was so accommodating-even sent my receipt via email. I asked for photos to be sent if possible- they said they would try but sometime it gets busy and it might not happen. I just received and email from them with the photos-WOW what a beautiful arrangement. Showed my boss what was sent and he was thrilled, just as I was showing him the pictures he received and email from the recipient stating how beautiful the flowers were. My boyfriend has used Florabella on several occassions to surprise me with flowers, and boy have I been surprised. Hands down the best local floral shop. From anniversary to just because flowers, all of their arrangements have left me in awe. My boyfriend has been surprised by how beautiful their arrangement are. Their customer service is great. On one occasion when I wasn't at work (which is where my boyfriend had some flowers sent, he overlooked the date), Florabella contacted my bf to see if he wanted the flowers delivered to a different address instead. Talk about service! I hope my bf keeps using Florabella! read more

My relatives sent me photos of their flowers and were so pleased, and I was too. I live in San Francisco but wanted to send flowers to my abuelita (grandmother) in San Diego just so she knew I was thinking about her. Carol (I believe her name is Carol) called me very soon after I put in my request on line. I asked for flowers that were seasonal, within my price range and would represent eternal springtime for a spunky and fiery grandmother. The flowers were delivered in record time and my abuelita loved the flowers! She said that even the man who delivered them was handsome! Superb!!! I had a flower arrangement sent to someone and let the wonderful ladies at Florabella put something together that they thought would be amazing...and to no surprise, the recipient loved the flowers!!! I work as a Concierge at a large hotel and so I've seen all sorts of flower arrangements from San Diego Florisits. Flora Bella by far has the best arrangements that I've ever seen. They do all sorts of arrangements from simple, to elaborate and everything is flawless. They will do custom arrangements for any request, and have always been able to accommodate last minute requests (like a bride who needed a bouquet 2 hours before her wedding- No sweat- Florabella to the rescue!) Jen and Lisa are a pleasure to talk to on the phone- they always go above and beyond, and really take pride in their flowers. (side note- I love how they wrap the insides of their vases with leaves to cover the stems- really gorgeous) read more

I don't use a florist very often. But when I need to make a special impression on someone I do some research to find out what is the very best florist in my zip code. I recently tried Florabella for the first time. I just walked in to their shop in University Heights and said I wanted something unique and beautiful. I told them it had to have a dozen roses but I did not want anything traditional---absolutely no 'babies breath' or tacky filler material. And I didn't want the standard (nee 'boring) bundle of a dozen long-stemmed roses (that doesn't show that the sender had anything really special to say). So I told them my budget, told them it had to be delivered on a certain day, told them that I wanted them to use a square glass vase etc. The result: the recipient was surprised and very delighted---which is just the impression I had hoped to make. He told me how the flowers looked and the thought and creativity that went into the floral design. In summary, I give Florabella five stars. They are friendly, creative (if that's what you want---they could probably do a traditional type of 'spring garden' arrangement---but that's not what I prefer); their prices are very reasonable, delivery fees reasonable, professional service + very friendly and genuinely interested in what type of impression I was trying to give the recipient. My boyfriend and I got Mexican food at a restaurant nearby and after a quick stroll through the neighborhood we headed to his car parked that was across the street from Florabella. He grabbed my hand and walked me into their quiet little place. Upon entry we were greeted by a lovely lady, I don't remember her name but she asked my boyfriend a few questions while I sat near the front door. She went to the back area then returned shortly after to inform us that her florist Sarah was putting together something pretty for us. She then spent some time making us feel welcome by asking us questions about ourselves. Moments later, Sarah walks out with this absolutely stunning bouquet that made me feel like a pageant girl. I thanked her profusely and said, "I never write reviews, but oh my god, I absolutely have to tell people about this gem." I'm a loyal shopper so you can count on my return. Florabella provided the flowers for my large birthday part in August. My husband and I met twice with Sarah to fine-tune details of the order. She addressed every possible issue to help us choose the correct flowers to create the perfect ambience. We discussed color coordination with the venue & table cloths, flowers we preferred or absolutely did not want in an arrangement, avoiding fragrant flowers which could upset friends with allergies, vase options, ETC! We ordered 16 varied table arrangements and 2 huge arrangements to be used on serving tables. All of Florabella's flowers were outstanding! We are still receiving compliments on them. The moment I ordered them was really a defining moment for me which means it was a hard task to choose one out of many. After having such a harsh experience out of many available options, Florabella was an option which actually made my day. Things were so beautifully placed as per my invoiced order which was coming to my place within 24 hours of my order. That day made me to consider this place as my ever go shop in SD. loving them! Florabella is my go-to flower shop in the area because it produces just what i need -- fresh flowers. I have promised myself to have fresh flowers in the house so i get a bouquet at least once a week and more often than not i get it from Florabella. When there are occasions i need to give a gift or something -- i always try to give fresh flowers so there, i order again at Florabella. The only complaint i have is they could use more creativity in the arrangement. I want more recent styling techniques. But then again, id rather go for super fresh flowers than a great arrangement that wouldn't last long. read more

I am on the central coast of CA and wanted a succulent arrangement delivered to my sister as a congratulations on her work accomplishments - and I wanted a local shop! My daughter's recent wedding was perfect because of the flowers provided by Florabella. They worked with me to make sure that my daughter's vision of the wedding was accomplished.
