He was communicative throughout our trip, sent us photos and videos when we missed him... And when the pup has seen Ted since the "big stay," he does the happiest little dance. It can be nervewracking to leave your dog, but leaving him with Ted was the best decision we could have made. Ted's presence helped me feel calm, and I just knew Pup would be safe with him. I boarded my 16 year old cat at Moe's for two weeks over Christmas and New Year's last year (took a…read morewhile to get around to writing this). Moe was fairly friendly and communicative at first, but when I arrived I was not allowed inside to see the set-up where my cat would be staying. I knew she wouldn't have a lot of space, but from the one blurry picture I received during her stay, she was sleeping and eating right next to her litter box in the small cage. When I picked her up, I found out that she had lost half a pound (and she was already underweight), and had an eye and upper respiratory infection that she probably picked up from another cat there which had to be treated with medication. She also smelled bad and had to be bathed right away. I brought a cat bed with her, which was in her cage, and when I picked her up there was uncleaned vomit on the bed. I would never take my cat here again. I don't think she properly received her medication every day either but that is just my suspicion. I am disappointment in the lack of care and concern for her health and the cleanliness of her environment. That being said, it is the cheapest boarding option I could find, and my cat is old and more susceptible to infections. A younger cat would probably be fine boarding here for a weekend maybe, but I wouldn't do any longer than that.

Last year, I decided to opt for a mobile vet service and it worked out well. Fast forward a few weeks ago, walking around the lake and I stumble upon this sign advertising affordable nail trims and pet walks for the fur babies. Immediately, I went to Yelp to check them out and verify if they were legit and the reviews put me at ease. I decided to contact Teairra a couple of days ago about doing my baby's nail trim and she talked me through the expectations of the process and I was on board ( I would need to hold my baby while she did the nail trim- my baby does not like me to hold her- SIGH) Needless to say, I had major anxiety. She showed up yesterday, on time- and had such a calming presence about her while I explained Lucy's background with strangers. Immediately, she came in talking very softly slowly gaining Lucy's trust with treats and sniffs. She showed me how to wrap Lucy in a burrito like style while she trimmed her nails and I kissed Lucy's nose. She exuded great kindness and patience. After, she sat by Lucy feeding her treats to continuously gain her trust even after the visit. Our first dog was a senior that we wanted to brush up on some manners with and get a refresher on the best techniques to keep her happy and well-behaved. Courtney introduced us to some minnow treats that our girl, Sadie, went nuts over. Turns out you can teach can old dog new tricks! When Sadie passed away, we started looking for a new pup a few months later. We got our hearts set on a dog from the shelter, but after some adoption couseling with Courtney (and some tough conversations), we realized that wasn't the dog for us. It was a really emotional situation, but Courtney helped us to see it rationally and we ultimately made the best decision for that dog and us and we kept looking. Most recently, we adopted a 3 year old Australian shepherd mix and have had a couple sessions with Courtney. Mazzy came to us very shy, timid and she really needed to build up her confidence in herself and trust in us. We've been using all the techniques, toys, treats and positive reinforcement that Courtney taught us and Mazzy is like a different dog after only 2 months! She doesn't cower or hide from us. She comes to us now for comfort and is so much happier. We are so grateful to Courtney and Devoted Dog for being a part of our family! She really loves dogs and is so patient with us when we ask "dumb" questions. One tip, though - make your appointments as early as possible! I emailed Courtney back in October for a consultation. They responded quickly with dates and times, I booked a consultation in 11/8/2019. When it came time to our appointment, we had to be rescheduled multiple times due to whatever issue Courtney had. We didn't think much at the time, but this should've been a HUGE red flag. We ended up seeing her on 11/16/2019. Following that, we paid $310 for 4 packs of 30 min lessons on 12/16/2019. We scheduled 4 lessons around the end of January to February. We had to reschedule our lessons due to their dog passing away and health reason (totally unfortunate situation). However, in February, they said they would refund our money once Courtney recovered. We waited until March before we contacted them due to her health reason. Courtney responded via text message once on 03/6/2020 and they responded once through email on 04/5/2020 about how refunds are being worked on. They never responded again. We've emailed & texted multiple times. I really didn't want to write this bad review about a small business, but it's really unfair to take our money, not provide sessions, tell us they'll refund us, and then disappear when it comes time for refunds. All we wanted was for our dog is build confidence and now we're left with nothing. We have been waiting since February 2020 for our refund and it is currently August 2020. I have slowly come to terms that they scammed us, but I want to prevent this situation from happening to someone else. I would give Courtney 0 stars if I could. Please take your business elsewhere, there are other trainers who are more reliable all over the bay area. Don't make the same mistake we did.
