I mean I couldn't believe how fast they worked together the man knew what he was doing. He was in and out in no time, but with the best work clean neat polite did his work very professional knew exactly what he had to do. I couldn't believe my eyes how fast they did this within two weeks of getting everybody together taking the molding off and putting the electrical work in and everything just perfect when I tell you perfect and I appreciate so much that he took this so seriously and very polite talking to me and made it my way all the way through, Everything so easy? I can't say enough about them. They were all wonderful very good. Last week, my wife and I went to Floors to Go in Deerfield Beach. We already had someone to install the floor, so my first question to the rep, John, was, "Can we purchase all the supplies needed if we are going to lay the floor ourselves." John's answer was, "We do that all the time. We can supply you with whatever you need. No problem." The next day I returned to order the floors, but this time another associate was working, Danielle. Not wanting to assume anything, I asked the same question about supplies as I did the day before and received virtually the same answer. When I told her which tile we chose, there was an issue regarding the size. We would have to pick a different tile or a bigger size. The manager Phillip came over to offer his assistance in the matter. I took both samples home to show my wife. Of course, she chose the more expensive one. So far, so good. I called with my credit card in hand, ready to order our new floor, but there was one catch. Danielle informed me that the manager, Phillip, did not feel comfortable selling me the supplies since we were not using his installer. I questioned Danielle why the sudden policy change but received no answer. That's when I told her I no longer felt comfortable using Floors To Go. After the call ended, my wife asked a very insightful question, "Why did both associates say it was okay to purchase the supplies, but the manager was now saying it wasn't?" I explained it could have only been one of three reasons: - Both seasoned associates made a mistake. - Phillip did not like the veteran's cap I was wearing that day, or - Phillip did not like my skin color since it was different than his. We used Floors To Go twice. The first time we were re-doing the flooring on our main floor. We chose hardwoods, and everything went smoothly. The second time we were redoing our bathroom. First, they didn't have the tile we selected in the size we needed, so we got a larger size and had our tiler cut them, which obviously added to labor costs. Fine. Then we ended up needing more tile than we had anticipated - so we went to the store and ordered it. After putting it in the bathroom, we realized it looked nothing like the rest of the tile. We called them to tell them they ordered the wrong product, and the insisted it was just a different dye lot. We then took in a sample of our old tile along with the new one, and they admitted it was the incorrect order and assured us they'd order the correct one. Fast forward several months. We still don't have it. They apparently keep zero records of what anyone bought, and cant figure out what tile we ordered, despite having an actual sample of it. We even know the name of the tile was "ice white", but apparently several brands have tiles with that name. But how many can it be, and how hard can this be? We've called to follow up several times, they promise to call back and then don't. Now we have an incomplete bathroom with no way of knowing how to get the right tile to finish it. Beyond frustrating. This would be a lower rated review based on just the above incident, but since everything went smoothly the first time around when we purchased our hardwoods, I'll give them 3 stars. read more

CRITICAL SHOPPING/FRAUD ALERT... BEWARE Floors To Go - Pompano!!! This location measured my home, charged me for close to 20% more flooring than needed, never alerted me, hid the 6 extra boxes under a bed... then when I found it months later when replacing the bed, they not only refused to credit me (saying on only had 30 days), they kicked me out of the store. BE AWARE... not only do they deliver and charge for excess flooring, they charge you for installing flooring that was CLEARLY NOT INSTALLED. I would be very surprised if this practice, charging for installation on flooring never installed, is not widespread and something they do on every order... imagine, even if only one box, how much that overcharging for installation will amount to. read more

My 1st impression of the store was incredible. As soon as i walked in, i was greeted and met with great customer services. I informed the sales person on what i was looking for and he was able to show me a large quantity of floors. Phil, being the owner of the store came out to make sure that everything was going well. We did not have to deal with pushy salesman and were given options. We decided to go ahead and purchase the floor and installation with them. Within two weeks, i had new floors installed and it came out incredible! Barbara was constantly calling us and making sure that everything was going well. Terrible customer service Philip he owner does not stand behind his product. They were recommended from my contractor and we did a entire 3 bedroom apt with hardwood and carpet. They chipped a piece oh hardwood on the install and wanted to cover with a cover stick vs replace it. The carpet was supposed to be installed before our furniture was delivered but he delayed that and they were there the same time what a disaster. His installer later told me that it was such a bad install he would not warranty his own work!! I had to have them come back to fix it and Philip charged me for a repair. He would not even get on the phone to discuss it Terrible customer service there are a lot of other options Go Find them!!! read more

I went to at least a dozen places to buy my wood floors and to find an installer. I narrowed it down to three places. This, and another place, both had excellent communication. It was honestly a tie and the tie breaker was that they had enough installers to fit us in. Ordering was simple. I needed a favor to have the order sit in the warehouse for a while because my house was under construction and not ready for the floor. It was not a problem, but towards the end I knew I wore out my welcome, but I was never made to feel rushed to move it. I still felt bad though. On installation day, the guys came out in two trucks with lots of tools and looked professional. They set up right away and began prepping the floors. They lost a star because during their floor prep, they used a bag of floor leveling to bring up a few low spots and never told me. I got a call from the store after it was leveled and they were laying the floor to tell me that I had low spots and that the guys suggest I let them add leveling concrete for $300. Well, it was too late. The stuff was already on the floor. I want to give the store the benefit of the doubt that they did not know the installers did that before calling me. But, I am always skeptical. There were two guys there for two days doing about 1200 square feet. The cut all corners nicely and fit the floors under the jambs nicely. There was no glue left on the floors, they cleaned their stuff up both days and left the house in the same condition as found. There is only one piece that looks like it is not seated properly but it is minor and after laying floors myself several times, I think that is a good statistic. The floors look great. I will upload images at some point but I still have them covered with floor protection because I still have on going construction in the house. Save yourself the hassle and give these people a call. They do quality work at a good price and are reliable and will work with you without issues. read more

Mark & Barb in the office and the fellow sent out to measure were professional & the installers were very experienced. The owner Philip inserted himself in the process as the contact price was being finalized and he was not reliable and difficult to deal with. I remember thinking it was odd at the time when he claimed to be the person we had met and discussed the project when it had been Mark & Barb that were our in-store contacts. Project challenges: Over runs: Philip promised the following in writing before the work was contracted: Philip wrote.... NOT TO WORRY. WE DO NOT BELIEVE IN OVER RUNS. SINCE WE MEASURED, IF I MISSED A ROOM YOU WILL NOT GET THAT CALL OR IF I WAS SHORT ON BASEBOARDS, YOU WILL NOT GET THAT CALL. Philip came back twice after job started looking for money above the contracted amount, once because the vinyl floor to be removed in one bedroom had been glued down, and again because the doors needed to be trimmed up for the higher thickness of the new porcelain floor. He threatened to stop work or do an inferior job on the bedroom floor if we would not pay more. We negotiated an additional amount to keep the job going. Tiles: The work contracted included replacing backsplash in kitchen and tiles on shower floor. The installers took one look at the kitchen premises and said the tiles that had been sold to us by Philip would not work (note that the measurement person and Philip had already been on site to review project and not figured this out). The backsplash ties were returned. We requested that granite be used instead. Philip indicated that he could not do granite and that he would put us in touch with a granite company. Despite several follow ups with Philip this referral was never provided, and the backsplash work was not done. A credit was given but we are left looking for a solution with other suppliers now. The tiles installed in the shower were not the ones we contracted for. Philip denied the error twice despite being referred to the clear wording in the contract. We needed to resolve this issue with Mark. Workmanship. Immediately after completing payment we discovered that the installers had not put any grout between the tiles under the stove, We requested that the installers come back and complete their work. This was early Dec - we were told that they were too busy but perhaps later in December. We contacted Phil when no one had called by late December. The initial email went unanswered. When we followed up at the beginning of January Philip advised that the industry shuts down over the holiday and now his installers were busy on other jobs but someone in the office would call me. It is now February, and no one has called! Timeliness & Inhouse contractor claim. Philip said in writing... FROM START TO FINISH WHAT YOUR SIZE JOB WILL PROBABLY TAKE APPROXIMATELY TWO WEEKS TO COMPLETE. WE DO NOT USE SUBCONTRACTORS ON OUR JOBS. The work actually took 6 plus weeks which caused more expense for me to have someone onsite (this is a seasonal condo). Philip submitted a building permit to me for signature without identifying the contractor - when pressed on the subject Phil first advised that this is normal, and when asked to complete Philip inserted another company name that Philip claims is related. We did not grind on the price when shopping this deal - we tried to select a reliable counterparty and demanded price certainty. There are some good people at the company, but Philip proved very difficult & unreliable (lots of heated and aggravating conversations with Philip). This was a contract of about $16,000 if you are trying to calibrate this job against a project you are considering.The grout work is still not done and there has been no call from the company trying to schedule completion! You can judge for yourself if you think Philip cares about a positive customer experience or delivering on his promises. read more

I wanted to add here that we have had nothing but amazing service from Philip and his staff. We moved into a foreclosure and had to redo all the flooring (tile and carpet) due to damage. He walked us through the entire process, including the pros and cons between wood-look tile, laminate and hardwood. We ended up choosing wood-look tile. He again walked us through whether we needed to demo the old tile or not as well as the differences between laying the tile in thin set vs mud set. Once we made those decisions, he negotiated with the representative from the tile company to get us the best possible price for the tile we wanted. Out of all the flooring companies we got quotes from, he was the easiest to work with. Every person he sent whether it was to take measurements or to lay down the carpet were professional. We ran up against a couple of problems during the installation, but Philip efficiently problem-solved and put us at ease each time. We receive compliments on our flooring all the time. And, now 3 years later (out of our warranty), when I called to see if Philip could replace a section of carpet that has a stain we can't get out, he sent someone out the next day to inspect the damage. We chose Floors to Go because of Barbara's expert customer service and their great selection of flooring. Price was reasonable for the material we chose. The installers showed up on time and installation began pretty quickly following contract signing last year. Overall, the flooring looks beautiful. However, we ran into a couple problems: Floors To Go caused significant damage to our 2 year old paver driveway. They left 2-3 sets of scratches running 40 feet from the carport to the street. At first we thought it was just powder residue from sawing the tile pieces in our carport and tried to hose it off, but after a few days the marks were still there. We mentioned this to Philip and he (to his credit) inspected the damage personally and then sent one of his friends to power-wash. That did not work. He wrongly assumed that the damage had been caused by the driver who delivered the pallets of flooring and then had the driver come over to try to fix the damage. I explained to both the driver and Philip that the damage was NOT caused during delivery since there was almost a full week between delivery and installation and I would have surely noticed these scratches during this time. The damage was done on the final day the crew left while they were loading up all the equipment. I actually SAW them dragging the heavy metal equipment from the carport to the van. My guess is that a couple pieces of gravel got stuck between the tires and pavers, an honest mistake. After Philip tried his two repair options with no luck, he had Barbara tell us to provide an estimate from a paver company to fix. After trying to fix a few more times ourselves, we provided a very reasonable estimate of just under $1,000.00. (The driveway cost total of $6500 to construct). Since I didn't get any response from the estimate, I was in the neighborhood a couple weeks later (May 2017) and stopped by to discuss the problem. Although I could see Philip at his desk behind the GLASS wall, HE DIDN"T EVEN HAVE THE DECENCY TO COME OUT AND SPEAK TO ME! --even after I waited at least 30 minutes. Poor Barbara had to go back and forth with our messages to each other, the last from Phil stating that "I can go sue the delivery contractor because it was his fault, not mine". Funny statement from a company that brags about the fact that all of their workers are employees of the company, not SUBCONTRACTORS. (I now suspect that the glass wall leading to Phil's office is likely bulletproof). Now we are forced to mull over the idea of taking this to small claims court. Who needs this aggravation?? Seems like a no-brainer that when a company inspects a damaged area, tries to fix it at least TWICE, that there is an acknowledgment that the damage happened under their watch and they are responsible to repair. Judging from the other negative reviews, I guess that only applies if the repair costs under $100. Worse than any of this is Philip's snarky attitude. He sure made himself available to take our $18,000 bucks, but not to at least DISCUSS this with me let alone fix the damage that his company was clearly responsible for creating. It's a shame because until this point, I was hoping to use them to install crown molding. Now I won't use them for anything. read more
