GOOD EXPERIENCE. We worked with floormax off and on for about a month when picking our hardwood and carpet for our new home. Patrick was great to deal with and was very helpful in sending me lots of samples to choose from, at no cost to me ;), after we had a brief conversation by phone. The products he showed me were all nice and the prices were very reasonable. Patrick also used our room measurements and calculated the total square footage needed for our wood flooring as well as the amount of carpet we needed. Once we selected our wood and carpet he gave us a total with shipping costs and we were very happy. Floormax saved us over $1000 from prices we had from local stores. Our flooring was picked up at a local shipping terminal by our installer and our flooring was laid in no time. Easy and professional transaction. What impressed us was the amount of care that was made to ensure we got the products we wanted at a price that was more in line with our budget. We bought a new home and needed to replace our floors. My wife wanted to uses hardwood throughout the house with carpet only in the bedrooms. Considering the prices from other local flooring stores and very a unhappy visit to the home depot we were thinking our budget was way too tight. We came to dalton on a Friday afternoon and shopped at a few of the flooring stores. The folks at floormax greeted us and we very helpful right from the start. We found a wood we really liked and a carpet that my wife fell in love with that was made from recycled drink bottles which she thought was pretty cool. This place has lots of products to choose from in a wide price range. We saved a considerable amount on the carpeting & cushion plus the price on the wood was very affordable compared to others we had looked at. I visited Floormax to purchase some rugs for my place of business. They had a huge selection- almost overwhelming. I really thought I would be basing my selection off of design alone, but once I was there, the sales assistant explained to me all of the different types of fibers and production. He helped me pick not only beautiful rugs, but ones that would be most durable. He recommended that I special order a product that they didn't have in stock, that was actually less expensive than anything they had in the showroom. When the rugs arrived from the manufacturer, the sales assistant personally delivered them to my office and rolled them out himself- so that he could guarantee that they were everything that I expected. I was told about Floormax while visiting a friend who purchased her hardwood floors from them a year ago. I was impressed with her home decor and how beautiful her wood floors were. She told me that she got her wood at a great price. We made a short trip up from Atlanta and were glad we did. We shopped many stores in the area and Floormax proved to be the best selection and prices. We bought 2500 feet of hardwood as well as some very nice styled carpeting for our bedrooms. Very pleased with the quality but even more happy with the money we saved. And to top it all off we were given a huge discount on some area rugs too which saved us even more! This place is amazing! Every family member and friend I have recommended them to has been more than pleased with the quality, price and above all customer service!! My first order was over 6 years ago and they had me at "solid walnut flooring". Since then I've purchased bamboo, oak and even some engineered flooring that was so gorgeous I had to try it. My husband Doug and I live in Central Florida and hooked up with Floor Max Direct at a home show in Orlando. We just remodeled a home on the Indian River and found the perfect hardwood flooring at a designer show room but.....it was way too expensive. I have to completely disagree with the previous review. We met Mike from floor max at the Louisville, KY Home Show. I was skeptical about buying a product and ushering a company so far from home. We just had our entire home installed with wood flooring and carpet and every aspect of dealing with this company has been absolutely amazing. We purchased hardwood flooring and rugs from FloorMax. Very pleased. Nice folks. Good deals. My wife and was surprised to see a poor review about this business as our experience was a good one. As a somewhat active Yelper I was shocked to see that several positive reviews about this place have been filtered for some reason, makes me question the validity of Yelp's process. We remodeled part of our house in June. We looked around and were referred by a friend to floor max in Dalton. After checking many places we felt floor max had the best service and pricing. They were great and seemed to care about helping us find the right floor for our needs. Made another purchase at the end of July. Found hardwood very cheap and they gave me a rug coupon for a nice discount on a rug for my wife. Again i was asked to do a review and was sad to see the last review was not posted by Yelp.
