ZERO Stars! Only selected 1 because Yelp made me…read more Never ever ever hire this company!! The contractor they sent (Marlon) was HORRIBLE! I'm not in construction, but am a better contractor than he is!! The price quoted seemed reasonable but the responsiveness and service provided was atrocious! I realize there is lead time in ordering materials, but had I not continued to hound Marlon I don't think the job would have ever happened! When the job did occur, it was all screwed up! We were getting replacement French Doors installed. First of all, we had to provide final payment before Marlon would allow his guys to even start the job. The check I gave Marlon was cashed before the guys were even done. We both work from home, so I guess we should've supervised the job, but we were paying for the job so we shouldn't have to supervise it, right? Well, the guys leave and then we check out the doors to find out they were installed backwards. Swing-out doors with internal blinds were installed as swing-in doors so the blind controls ended up on the outside of the house! After about three weeks of hounding, Marlon, he finally sent his guys back out to check it out. Did they fix the doors? NO!! They continued to insist that they were installed correctly and left. I ended up having to hire somebody else to turn the doors around and pay them to do it so now the reasonable quote was no longer reasonable! I told Marlon about it, and he promised he would repay me for the door re-install. After 2 months of asking and reminding him he never did so here is his review. Never ever hire Tricolor Flooring or you may end up with Marlon and you will regret it.

STAY AWAY. They have a high employee turnover rate, I've had to deal with 3 different "project…read moremanagers" since my project started and no one is on the same page. Communication is very difficult with them. They tell you their work is warrantied and but then find any excuse to not fix their mistakes. We had LVP laid and twice they've had to replace the transition strips and they're still coming up because their team doesn't know what they're doing.

hired Perfect Choice Flooring to replace the carpet in my bedroom with tile. The experience was…read moreincredibly frustrating from start to finish. After paying a 50% deposit on July 10, I was told I would be scheduled immediately. That didn't happen. I had to follow up multiple times just to get a start date. Communication was poor and unprofessional, with broken promises and missed callbacks. The crew finally arrived on July 29. The tile was installed with an extremely thin grout line--something I was never asked to approve but chose to accept. They said they would return the next day to grout and then come back the following day to move the heavy furniture back, which was the agreement I had in place with their representative. Instead, they grouted the next day and replaced the furniture less than an hour later, ignoring the recommended 24-hour grout curing time. When I called the project manager, his dismissive response was, "What do you want them to do?" The crew came back to remove the furniture, clearly annoyed, and became argumentative and disrespectful in my home. One even said they used a thin grout line specifically so they could move the furniture sooner. Later, I was contacted by someone in management, Jonny Sibrian, whose tone was equally rude and condescending. I explained I was arranging a third-party inspection to ensure the tile wasn't damaged due to rushed furniture placement or the use of vinegar (an acidic cleaner that can harm uncured grout). Instead of understanding, he accused me--twice--of trying to avoid paying my bill and even made a veiled threat. I've always paid for quality work, and I fully intend to pay the balance if the job passes inspection. But the lack of professionalism, poor communication, and disrespect I experienced with this company were unacceptable. I would not recommend Perfect Choice Flooring to others based on how I was treated or the quality of their work.

Avoid at all costs…read more Started off with the contractor pulling the old carpet and tile out. They didn't bother to cover anything at all when pulling the tile out. Talk about a mess. My wife and mother had to cover the cabinets since they refused to... Laminate floors went in fine. However, the transition piece that went from laminate to the carpet in the bedrooms didn't hold the carpet down. I was told because the way the direction the carpet was vacuumed. Not the fact that the existing carpet in the bedrooms were cut far too short and couldn't stay tacked. Next was the disaster of the tile in the kitchen area. The old tile was pulled up and existing mud was left down, except for the peices that come up. The contractor put their compound over the old, existing mud. NO tile is level with its neighboring tile. In fact, we have over 10 tiles that cracked and are still cracking. Paul came out and said they could fix a few of the tiles for free, but the rest would cost additional funds. I also love the fact that the floor is no longer level and the transition from the kitchen to the laminate is about 1/4 in drop. Awesome! Why would a previous tile floor withstand without cracks from 2001 - 2014? We decided to put in new tile and now that is cracking. We were told from 2 other contractors that tile was not laid right and if you do not clean up the floor you are laying tile on, problems will occur. Problems are still occuring. Paul said our house is still settling and it's not his fault. What a complete mess and now we have to go hire another contractor to install new tile properly. After over 4 calls to the store to try and get the Paul out here, he finally did. Of course, none of it was his "guys" fault. Merely blamed it on the house. I guess the two additional tile installers that I've had come out, inspected and left with the same opinion of a sub-par installation are wrong. Trust us, go somewhere else...
