Unfortunately shops are only open until 6pm and closed on Sundays (with the exception of AH XL). The first Sunday is koopzondag and all the shops are open, but otherwise there is only the AH. On Wednesdays and Saturdays, there is a local market outside which has a variety of food and stuff such as clothes and random things like tools and bike accessories. TIP: If you park in the garage and buy something at AH, they will give you 1€ discount for parking; just show them your parking ticket when you check-out.

Quite a few big names have locations here including Albert Heijn, Subway and JD Sports, most of these streets did seem decent, and there is a market area too. A lack of information guides / general staff around was a slight problem, at first, it could even be hard to tell you are in something which is a "shopping centre", and they don't seem to have a mall guide which they really are missing, especially as this is the largest shopping centre in Amsterdam. Amsterdamse Poort's location is decent, being close to the Railway Station and the Amsterdam ArenA, but the location, of course, could make it a place to avoid on an event day, as I can only presume it gets hectic. Amsterdamse Poort adds to the feel of the Amsterdam ArenA reminding me of Wembley, as this just feels like a larger Wembley Park in a way (London Designer Outlet etc) Decent place to shop while in Amsterdam as long as it isn't an event-day, not without its' flaws but remains easy to get to via public transport (train and metro) so I do feel a three-star rating is deserved here!

They only had a small selection of the high socks and not the right size, but settled for a pair of sandals for 1.3€ - what a deal. Men/Women/Children's clothing, accessories, makeup, etc. It was like a maze! Needless to say, for that reason I was inside far longer than I anticipated. One thing they have in common is the same great prices. I guess that may be a company standard worldwide, which is a good thing! I purchased an adorable bucket hat and a few other accessories as keepsakes.

I enjoyed a delicious Bara sandwich for the first time. It's a must try if you happen to visit the market. I also loved how the market is right in the middle of all these interesting shops, which is also worth visiting. The best time to go is probably on a Thursday,Friday, Or Saturday, then you have a choice of browsing through the market or shops , which is located right next to one another. They were super condescending, and we were left feeling pretty confused since they're attached to the supermarket and don't serve any food themselves besides yogurt and croissants (from the same bakery). The fruit and vegetables are taken care of very well, no bruises on your peach. The bananas are on a display that has a "mattress" for them for God's sake. Awesome selection of non-dairy milks and healthy products too. The gluten-free section is not as well stocked as AH but they have great stuff, even fresh. They bought the whole area, c1000 and also the part where Rabobank used to be at the Brazillie Winkelcentrum, so the supermarket is huuuge! When it first opened I found some of the lines moved toooo slowly but they have a thing where the 4th in line doesn't pay, so make sure to ask for your rights as a consumer.
