I was then greeted by the lady in the store and walked towards the back to check out the rest of the books. I really loved the kids section, the way it was decorated made you feel like you were no longer in a bookstore. Overall this is a great shop with some neat books, cute finds and beautiful plants. The books are also affordable, they have a shelf full of discounts, which is great! If I were closer I'd probably spend most of my time there.

They host fun events, book clubs, children's events, and have managed to create a truly safe place for their customers. The owner, the staff, and customers are all welcoming and friendly. I have enjoyed myself every time I have visited and met really wonderful people in the process. Please stop by if you are ever in the area, you'll be so glad you did!

I tried ringing the doorbell and looking around for a minute but I started to feel like a creeper so I just left. This was in the middle of the day on a Saturday and it was a shame because I had driven a bit out of my way to check it out.

From the very attentive and customer service friendly staff, to all the amazing events they offer there. This is a perfect pairing of books, art, food and drinks! I had the Butterfly Pea Latte and a house salad with chicken. My friends got the flatbreads Earl Grey tea and a Pinot Grigio. We also had the Lavender Earl Grey Teacup dessert. I can definitely say it was extremely fresh and well seasoned. I was impressed at how well-thought out their menu is. The flatbreads were crisp and savory. The salad was refreshing with a vinaigrette dressing. The dessert was the best creation with the perfect balance of cupcake and rich frosting. My Butterfly Pea Latte was not overly sweet which was perfect for me. You can tell there's a lot of love put into this business and I wish it was in Orlando! I'm sure that everything on the menu is not going to disappoint, so I'm going to be sure to take a trip back to try new items. If you love reading, good atmosphere, and amazing eats, you need to visit Novel Tea Book Shop! There's a small parking lot since this looks to be a converted house.

Outside of this, many of the books were what I consider as "leftovers" in the various subjects. The store though was very clean, and nicely organized - and books were of a really good quality for being used (most in "Very Good" condition or better). It was, however, a fairly loud place as far as used bookstores go, with lots of customers coming in and out who, from the sounds of it, normally wouldn't seek out a bookstore. Certainly, not an issue of the store's, but the location makes them more prone to casual walk-ins and tourists I suppose. I looked at nearly every book in the place though, and I think you'd get hard pressed to walk away with a big haul - unless you were primarily focused on fiction. The good stuff must get sold online. There were some unique pieces here though - large sets, signed books, etc. and there are a few displays around the store of their specialty books. Kinda gimmick-y in that sense, but that's just me. Their literature section is probably the best thing they have going, and that's the area I'm least likely to check out at a used bookstore.

We immediately felt uncomfortable. Our poor son was so confused & thought he did something wrong. why have toys on the floor, in the reach of children if you don't want them to be touched? I have to say this is one of the largest used bookstars visited here in central Florida. The store itself is very organized and has many selections to choose from. For well-known authors. They do have those marked on the shelves so keep an eye out for those well-known names. They also have two for babies running around and playing within the store. Cliff specializes in horror, sci-fi, mystery, comics, but carries at least something from just about any other genre you can think of. Some of the older more rare books are kept in a thin plastic protectors to preserve them, and are neatly organized onto shelves. Cliff also sells a variety of collectable glassware and toys. It's best to let Cliff know what you are looking for so he can direct you to the right location. I asked him where he keeps music books and he took me right to the spot then informed me that the entire bottom shelf was full of them, but I would need to dig a little since there was three more stacks of music-related books in front of the shelf; I was in heaven, lol! There was a lot to sift through and I didn't even see it all because my wife was pulling me out before I get deep in it. Regardless, I decided on purchasing three music books: Hits of the 90's for $6; Casio Piano sound Music Library Piano Scores for $8; and Guns N' Roses Anthology for Guitar for $15. When I went to check out, I asked Cliff if he could sell me all three for $25 and he said no problem. Then he got distracted with another customer for a minute and came back to me and asked "what was I charging you again," and I replied $25 and started to pull out cash and he said "Lets just make it an even $20," wow, what an awesome guy! Thank you, Cliff! Cliff also hosts big comic events in the DeLand area, so if your interested in those types events I recommend checking out his Instagram or Facebook page since the main website is a bit outdated with all of his happenings. All-in-all, a great book store and I recommend Cliff's if you are a book lover and are in the area shopping. I will be back!
