What a difference time and trying different hours makes. I'm always impressed with how fit retirees…read moreand almost retirees are on the Cape. Fitness studios fill up and have cult followings. I also have a soft spot for women owned small businesses. A year later, now that I'm a local, I'm giving it a second chance. No, it isn't F45. Not close. But it does the trick. The owner is lovely and tries hard to keep stubborn clients that know it all safe and enjoying a good workout. I can't see the women in the Cape Cod area. Don't frighten me - some do! You can't guide them if they're doing something that could hurt them because these women know it all and want to do it their way. But the trainers here know how to keep them safe! (despite their hardest intentions to kill themselves, because some of them really wanna show that they are fit! really!)

Was my first time at the Yoga Collaborative in North Falmouth. Took the 8am class on Sunday. The…read moreclass was too crowded and the level was quite advanced, so no good for beginners. The class description had stated that the class was for all levels. Also, the instructor never gave personal feedback, which I would have appreciated greatly. So although I enjoyed the hour, there is much room for improvement to make the experience better.

They are very welcoming, have all the equipment you'd want and a whole lot more by way of creature comforts. Sometimes it feels like coordinating a drop in takes as long as the class--not so here, in 5 mins between their website and wodify I was signed up, waivered, and paid up. Class times are extremely convenient including open gym options and anytime I've checked their programming it's balanced and thoughtful.

Not recommended, mostly because of billing policies. They try to charge you for one or two extra…read moremonths. Do not recommend. Also, while the instructors are competent, it's hard to understand them with a heavy accent, and sometime they can be a little mean and cruel to young children who simply could not understand what they were saying. In addition, they assume the children know things that they actually never taught them, and then get mad at the children for not knowing it. The place has a very strict anti-parents getting involved policy. I think I know why- it's to condition you against getting involved when you see such treatment of the kids. Then you're faced with a dilemma- if you intervene to stop that, your kid may get kicked out. The kids don't actually learn very much. Not once in the several months we went was there any explanation of what is jiu jitsu, what is it for, anything like that. After several months, my kid didn't know the "mount" position, because he had never been explained what it is. Along with the billing policy, this starts to look like a scam. I'm fine having my kid go elsewhere or do a different activity.
