Beginning class learning to do backbends.

My daughter loves Flight School Gymnastics! In 8 weeks she has gone from never doing any gymnastics or having any knowledge of where to begin, to turning cartwheels, doing backbends, handstands, and basic movements on the bar and beam. Flight School and Coach Liz help to make gymnastics fun! From day one, Coach Liz welcomed my child into her class and made sure she felt seen and cared for. Coach Liz shows each little gymnast lots of love, support and encouragement. She takes her time to teach them new skills and meets them where they are. She gently guides and pushes them to grow. Thank you Flight School and Coach Liz! Flight School is Parent tested and kid approved.

They're back! We loved Flight School before pandemic and we love it even more now. Our older daughter had been taking classes pre-pandemic while our under 3 year old watched and waited patiently for her turn. No sooner did she turn 3 in February 2020, did the Corona shut everything down--just one month after she started. When Flight School opened back up, they had a long waitlist, but FS was able to make accommodations for us to get both girls back in! They were over the moon! Flight School has also been really flexible allowing the girls to have make up classes when we go on vacation and Brooke Stetson has been SUPER helpful each time we come in! The coaches are kind and compassionate and the girls love their classes. Thank you Scarlett and the Bone Family for telling us about Flight School!

My daughter has been taking classes since 2017. They have a very accommodating staff and great classes. I value that they answer my emails if I have any questions or concerns. Great customer service. They did a summer recital for the recreational classes and included the team gymnast. My daughter loves watching the team gymnasts, so she loved it. *It gets hot in the summer.

My son has difficulty making/keeping friends and "doesn't like to talk to grownups", but he loves the staff here. As a middle-aged mom, I would call the coaches themselves "kods" because they are at least half my age, but they are AMAZING with my son. He "got hurt" his first class and yelled/cried, but the coaches let him have his feelings, got him ice, and taught him how to avoid that situation in the future. After only 2 official classes and 2 longer events, my son has more confidence and says that he "loves the coaches". Hopefully he will make some friends his own age soon too because they have the same love of literally jumping off walls. My younger grew up in the recreational program, we did everything from mommy and me and she went through the classes as she got older, joined the JO Team this past June. I personally didn't think she had what it took, but trusted the gym's judgment...and she's been thriving. Her coaches overall were great, and we even still have moments where rec coaches who work seasonally will come back and be amazed at how much she grew! My oldest has always been on team and we have had injuries, but she had a great season last year. I appreciate how much all her team coaches (Carmen, Toya, Mike, Jim, Kevin, Savannah, Sophie, Jazz), Courtney and the front desk team support her. Having so many coaches for the team is wonderful as they all offer something different in terms of coaching style and personality fit. No place is perfect, but what I do appreciate is that you can have a transparent conversation about how your child is doing / how together we can partner to help our kids progress in a safe way. These conversations may not be easy but the intent is shared that the gym also wants what's best for your child. My oldest has a mental block from breaking her arm twice and the fact that she's at the gym and love gymnastics still is a testament to how much the coaches and the gym cares. I've had conversations with the coaches and Courtney about how it's more than just gymnastics, but how their time at the gym shapes their identity and who they grow into so I appreciate the macro view this gym has vs it's about level / skills / medals. The Xcel coaching team is also excellent - we trained with Curtis on the pre-team prior to JO and we loved him. Kelsey also worked with our girls and is so supportive. It's clear how much the coaches here care about the kids. The gym itself is so well kept in terms of equipment and safety so it's nice to see the pit is cleaned and everything looks clean vs at some gyms there's a lot of dust, fraying, and wear. Lastly, we are not in cheer (sadly), but love Neda and Sammy's energy, and can't think of better coaches to lead this team.

The problem is that a winter birthday brings a chance of rain, so it's a real gamble to have the party outdoors at a park. The gym where she is taking gymnastics isn't offering parties at the moment, but we knew of this business, decided to check it out, and the price was right. We weren't sure entirely what we were getting ourselves into, so we crossed our fingers and hoped for the best. And the best was what was delivered! We arrived a half an hour before the party as instructed, and the staff helped us set up. There was tons of space for the kids to run around, and that is exactly what they did as they started to arrive. One little girl ran down the tumble track and did a front flip off the end! Eventually the coaches led the kids in some games that involved plenty of running around, as well as a super-fun obstacle course. Parents and non-participating siblings had plenty of space to spread out, chat with one another, watch the antics, and take photos. The staff members put on gloves to help serve pizza to the kids, and then the cupcakes. Finally, the kids went back out to enjoy the obstacle course, tumble track, etc... The kids had so much fun, it was tough to get them to leave! And since it turned out to be a VERY rainy day, the parents could not have been happier that their kids got to use up some of that boundless energy! Although we didn't ask... I think that all the kids slept well that night. If you are considering having your kid's birthday party here, I'd encourage you to go for it! Our experience couldn't have been better!

There are three teachers in particular who stood out to us. Miss Jamie, the owner, is truly one of a kind--she's incredible at holding children's attention and keeping them engaged. She's a rare gem in this field and really knows how to connect with toddlers. We started with Mr. Sebi, who was amazing. My daughter absolutely adored him. As her first teacher, he was very engaging, taught her balance, and even how to roll. It took some time for my daughter to adjust, but she quickly gravitated toward him. When my daughter got older, she transitioned to Miss Katelyn, who was a breath of fresh air--young, vibrant, and bubbly. My daughter loved her energy and really enjoyed her classes. With that said, as my daughter grew, she became more interested in simply playing, so I decided to cancel our membership. One thing I learned from this experience is that I wouldn't recommend purchasing a membership. If you don't use all your classes and decide to cancel, you lose those unused classes. Considering the membership costs $140 a month, and individual classes are $35-$40, I found it more worthwhile to pay per class instead of risking unused credits. Read the fine print, I've never experienced this with any other program (swim , soccer, dance) not worth the hassle. I recently learned that if I reenroll, I can regain the credits I lost when I canceled. However, it doesn't make sense to pay monthly again to access credits that I should already have on my account. When someone cancels, it's typically for a reason. Overall, your child will learn a lot, strengthen their fine motor skills, and have a great time. Plus, as a parent, you'll also pick up helpful tips and enjoy the experience, but again just call in advance and see if there's an opening.
