Flight Deck Diner was fine, but it's certainly not a destination. I guess it's rated so highly because the prices are low, and because the location and flight theme are novel. That's fine, but eggs are overcooked and underseasoned. Home fries are bland. There are a lot of great diners in South Jersey. Don't go out of your way to visit this one

I've never been to a diner or restaurant where someone helicopters in and grabs breakfast. That totally happened while visiting @flightdeckdiner in Cape May. How cool is that? Not only can you get a good, simple breakfast at a very reasonable price, but it's an awesome spot for kids too. Model airplanes are hanging from the ceilings, and police badges from pretty much every NJ town are displayed on a wall. Service was fast, table turnover was quick, and once again, everything we ate was good! My plate came with 3 eggs any way I wanted them, home fries, a protein of choice (I chose scrapple), and a couple of pancakes. The other dish is a veg omlette with home fries (also came with toast). I wish I had a chance to try the creamed chipped beef, hopefully next time! Watch some planes take off and land while drinking your diner styled coffee and eat a classic affordable breakfast in Cape May! When you're done, you can even swing by @capemaybrewco for a 6 pack!

Friendly and fast service. Great breakfast and lunch. Good views of Cape May Airport.

Everything about this place was great. Nice little dinner where you can watch some small aircraft arriving and departing. Wait staff was pleasant and on the ball. Food was delivered quickly and correctly . Prices are very reasonable. I was not expecting the large variety of food options . Was quite nice to be offered lunch and breakfast with so many choices on each. Definitely recommend

Cool place to get breakfast or lunch. They close at 1400, so I recommend getting there by 1245 because they are always packed. Service is friendly and fast. For me the portions are perfect for breakfast and lunch, I left full but not so stuffed that I felt like I needed a nap Most tables have a view of the runway, while we were there we saw to small Jets land, 1 small Jet take off and multiple single engine plans landing and taking off. If your a history buff and you like good food this is your place, the restaurant is located in the lower level of the WW2 Wildwood Naval Air Station Air Traffic Control Tower. Either before or after you eat you can visit the museum dedicated to an Era long since past.

Service here just sucks! Don't expect a hello, or even to be acknowledged. Food is mediocre. Nothing special. I went twice, and different servers, same attitude. There are too many places nearby to eat, than a cup of frustration.

Little pilot meals.

I love this place! It is always busy but it's a quiet little secret when I want to get away with my dad for breakfast and talk.

Busy Sunday Mid morning (10am)…read more Staff appeared to be pretty efficient. Order was taken had food within 15 minutes. The cooks run like a well oiled machine. Coffee is your average run of the mill diner coffee. Waitress was nice. Did not catch her name though. Casual diner. Love the placemats with local services on them.

Horrible diner experience, it actually was comically bad. We were excited because it looks like…read morethis place has good reviews. :( There were not enough menus at first so we were without a menu for a while, until they found one. Then, they were playing extremely sexually explicit music on the speakers ("me so hor** me love you long time -women moaning noises-) Next, our food took an unusually long time, we got a burger and fettuccini Alfredo. The burger was ok but the fettuccini was not able to be eaten, it was literally swimming in sauce: we tried to take some out which the excess was over a cup and still drenched, you could drink it. I also discovered a hair buried in the sauce after I already ate some and as I was trying to scoop out the sauce. it was $20 down the toilet for my meal. Then the waitress dismissed us and ignored that we brought up we couldn't even finish it sadly. She just gave us the check and walked away and ignored us after we tried to nicely mention it a few times. The lady at the counter asked how it was and we admitted pretty disappointing, but then she sort of made a joke about it instead ("some people like a lot of sauce"). She gave us a "small discount" of $2 off a $50 check and then readded $3 for the credit card fee. Then my mom and I walked in the parking lot and she stepped in a huge puddle of sewage coming from the building at the side of the restaurant near the end of the sidewalk. That was really just the grand finale. Really terrible service. It just stinks to work so hard for your money just to throw it out.

This was, without a doubt, the most extraordinary dining experience of my entire life. From start…read moreto finish, every moment was a masterpiece. We have been loyal Cape May devotees for twenty years, but our spontaneous venture into Wildwood Crest turned out to be a gastronomic revelation. On our final day before heading back to the beloved Cape, we stumbled upon this gem of a diner. From the instant we walked through the door, we were treated like royalty. A warm, enthusiastic greeting ushered us into a charming, spotless booth. The atmosphere radiated with nostalgic American charm. Our waitress, the epitome of friendliness, promptly took our drink orders, setting the tone for an unforgettable culinary journey. My husband selected the macadamia nut French toast, while I opted for the Greek-style Hangover. Both dishes transcended mere breakfast fare and entered the realm of the sublime. My plate, an exquisite blend of savory chipped beef, creamy feta, roasted tomatoes, and perfectly cooked eggs, was nothing short of heavenly. Each bite was a symphony of flavors and textures, an experience so divine it could have earned a Michelin star. I am still in awe, with the taste lingering as a cherished memory. And then there was the macadamia nut French toast. Imagine the softest, fluffiest slices of French toast, bathed in golden syrup and crowned with delicate macadamia nuts and brown sugar. Each bite was an ethereal, out-of-body experience, combining extraordinary flavors with an unparalleled texture that defies description. But the excellence did not stop there. The prices were astonishingly reasonable, and the service was beyond impeccable. The delightful owner personally visited our table to ensure our satisfaction, and even the cook seemed to take a moment to check on us. This level of dedication and personal touch elevated our dining experience to an unprecedented level. In summary, the service was flawless, the food was transcendent, and the ambiance was the epitome of classic American diner perfection. Even the coffee was exceptional--hot, smooth, and refilled at just the right moments. This diner is not just a recommendation; it is a must-visit, a culinary pilgrimage. It earns an A+++ in every conceivable category. The kids would say this place "ATE," and I wholeheartedly agree. This diner provided a dining experience that will be cherished for a lifetime. If you ever find yourself within a hundred miles, make the trip. You will not be disappointed. Highly, highly, highly recommend! ,
